- Hey everyone, welcome back to another video! We're slowly nearing a full body kit for my BMW G87 M2 with the addition of these carbon side skirts. These side skirts are from our friends over at Unit 17 Autostyling and they just came out. In fact, these are prototypes and the first to be installed on any G87 M2. I'm seriously a really big fan of their aggressive nature, most other side skirts are quite tame and safe which in my opinion doesn't necessarily suit the wild design of the M2. The install was quite quick and doesn't take a lot of tools or special skills, enjoy the video!

Nester, your car looks so much better now with all the mods you have done - it's such an improvement on the dogsh+t look of the stock M2. it's a pity though, that one now has to go spend 10"s of 1000's of $$$ to make the look of the factory M2 acceptable, after one already has spent $80-90,000 (Canadian) on purchasing the factory M2. This is what the car should look like when it comes out of the factory - unfortunately there are only a few manufacturers left who are producing decently designed cars - Alfa Romeo Giulia comes to mind for instance, some Audis. All SUV's look like crap imo (except Range Rover/Land Rover and some really expensive Italian SUV's), Mercedes and BMW designs are an abomination now (just think what beautifully designed cars BMW and Merc were producing up until just 10-15 years ago, korean cars look like blobs, Japanese cars designs are getting weirder by the minute. Hopefully there will be a positive change in car designs in the future.
You're not wrong, this car definitely looks incomplete from factory and it's a shame because there is incredible potential. I think BMW made the car look great to begin with, then stripped it for the base version (this car). Kind of how GM made an incredible car in the ZR1 and Z06, and then stripped it and made it worse for the base C8 version. The M2 CS/CSL coming out next year will probably look complete and very good. Definitely a shame.. but at least there are aftermarket option available!
I recently purchased side skirts using your code and I was wondering what were the specifications of the self tapping screws you used or the #? Also the pilot hole, how big did you make it. Thank you!
Awesome dude, I hope you like them! So the self tappers they provided were about 1 inch in length, I would use these instead of the longer ones. Can't remember exact sizing for the pilot hole drill bits, but I generally eyeball 1/3-1/2 of the self tappers diameter and use that for the pilot hole.
