This is a great technique that works perfectly if you carefully follow the instructions. Firmly pressed tape on the print is importanr. Thank you for sharing this useful system. x John
Theres 2 types of adhesive used on packing tapes - rubber & acrylic. The suggested tape uses a rubber adhesive. Acrylic adhesives won't work. So do your homework to make sure its rubber.
The translucent picture would be perfect for an eerie or Halloween project as it looks like a ghost lurking in the background. As I mentioned a while ago, I’ve made images with an ink jet printer with no issues. I would suggest though, that it dries thoroughly before you try to seal it. , preferably with a spray than a brush.
I think this is an excellent DIY video to bring a crafting idea back, however it is nothing new. I have been doing this same transfer magic with Elmer’s glue and then Mod Podge since the 1960s.
@@OurUpcycledLifeDo newspapers use laser printers? I ask because I’ve done this transfer on newsprint and it works. I’m trying to get an idea of what sources I can use. I think the key is _really_ pressing the tape to the source.

Yes, I always use packing tape instead of transfer tape when I’m transferring vinyl. Saves one a lot of money!

Love that idea and the effect, Thank you. I have been upstairs playing with the matte mod podge also a winning idea of of yours 👍
Wonderful!
Every day we learn something new.....😊
I’m glad you found it helpful! 😊
Now THATS magic!
For a matte finish try the 3M 600 matte tape. The main drawback is it's typically only available 1/2" or 3/4" wide
Great technique. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is amazing and I love it but is there a way to transfer images without seeing plastic tape when done? ❤️❤️❤️
Gracias, se puede hacer en madera mdf

Brava e interessante . Non capisco poi come fai a fissare tutto full fondo. Passi il ferro caldo? Grazie
@lidiafedeli9333 an iron would melt the film resulting in the tape sticking to the iron & totally ruining the print forever
Wowee 🎉🎉 thanks for sharing ❤
You are so welcome

Thanks for sharing your experience and how you’ve been doing it for so long!
I tried this but it didn't work the print came away with the paper?
Has to be a laser printer

😂
I have that luck too where nothing works out 😄
However I have learned a lot from this lady right here and she's a smart 🍪
Deidre is very talented
What kind of paper/print were you using? Did you hear her say it won't work with ink-jet printed graphics? It's near the end of the vid.
Awesome!
Thanks for watching!
Wow!!🤗🤗👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching
Very good
Thanks
Can i do this with an old photograph ? I have alot of photos i don't want to throw away.
It will work if you do a photocopy on a laser printer
I thought that you were going to use the tape to transfer it to another media and show us the final product, but it is now on the tape.
This method ruins the originals. Do you have a method that allows me to keep originals intact ?
But does the cellotape stick after dipping in water? It must losing all stickiness?
No it will stay sticky
@OurUpcycledLife yes tried it out...great! Thank you .
Just like sticking stickers on a page only more work
And more variety with less cost.
Be aware of pfas

I agree - a translucent transfer would be great for a spooky project!
