Tugboats are pretty much essential if you don't wanna get wet or swim.
Here's an idea. Fill the hull with some foam. It can't fill with water.

I have the same tug boat as you do, if your getting a lot of water inside check the right side bow area. There is a place for an anchor and a hole in the upper side & the water pushes up through it. Don

Much better spot for the 42. But I do see a "target rich environment" with all those "things" sticking out of the water near the shore.

All the markers are deep water markers, other than the 1 in front of the dock which is marking an old tree stump. I've got a few other places to try out as well. I think the next spot will be much better. 🤞

Here's the link to the micro cord. www.armysurplusworld.com/1-18mm-x-125-micro-cord
I used copper wire for the enter winch, the same wire used to wrap the stator of a brushed motor. Hope this helps. Build it ironclad!

Have they fixed the reviver problem with the tug , it’s not the same as the one in the instructions, apparently it’s a problem. From the reviews I’ve seen or read about

What's the size of the pvc tube that you inserted through the hole in the back of the boat? Where'd you purchase it from?

AFter a year of use, what has all gone wrong with the tug boat? I am thinking about buying one to retrieve planes on the lake. Thanks for your input

I run in salty water a lot, so my esc only lasted about 10 months. Other than that everything has been good on it still running the stock motor.. I've cracked the plastic hand rails and the little decorations around the boat only because I'm clumsy as he'll and a kayaker knocked my hatch off in the river gone forever. Put a lanyard on you tug boat hatch.
