    • Closing thoughts:
o On wrist - Perfectly balanced, great thin wear w/handsome proportions
o Model Variants - White dial Polaris, Blue dial Impulse, and Sand dial Laguna also available
o Comparable models - The Contrail GMT matches up well against some pretty tight competition within the microbrand space, now that the Miyota 9075 has emerged as the enthusiast choice for premium (flyer) GMTs under $1000
o Bottom-line - Nodus continue to step their game up and this time they’ve even helped establish a new standard within this already highly completive market

Great release from Nodus. Best application of the Miyota 9075 I've seen so far.

I have the Laguna Sand and agree with all your points. There is a lot to like about this watch, especially at the price. The dial and attention to detail would probably be my favorite due to the crispness and finishing of the dial markers, handset, and lettering. The graininess of the dial pattern and coloring is also very good. With that said, however, the fully lumed bezel, the case construction, with very good brushing and polishing, fully articulating bracelet...it's all very good.
To your point, my only real negative is the quick adjust. It's wonderful they tried, and at least they have one. Something Seiko still doesn’t provide with most of their models. However, it is subpar. That extension is not only unsightly, but it's flimsy... similar to Seikos' diving extension on their bracelets. Hopefully, in their next iteration, this will be a point of consideration.
Again, this is a very good watch, and I could easily put this up against other pieces below the 2k mark and think it will hold its own. Good job, Nodus. I look forward to seeing what they'll be doing in the future.

I returned the new Contrail on day one. The construction is gorgeous but the details weren’t quite right. The hands aren’t the right size for the watch or for each other, the details on the dial are too small to read, and the lack of quickset is so obnoxious. Couldn’t do it.

    Oh so close.
    Love:
    - That the guys were able to snag the 9075 movement.
    - They designed and delivered their own on the fly micro adjustment. It's under my wrist so I don't care about the gap.
    - 6 O'clock date, matching color and red numerals on the Laguna.
    - Arrow on GMT hand that reaches all the way out to the edge of the dial (you kinda blew the lime shot /w the minute hand covering the GMT Tip)
    Miss:
    - sapphire bezel. I don't like any reflection on the bezel be it polished ceramic, sapphire or anything. Bezels should be flat
    - backlit lume on 1/2 the dial, never a fan of backlit lume on dials or bezels, thankfully the Laguna doesn't have this.
I still wear my old grey dial contrail and white dial contrail with SS hour bezel, super clean.

Was holding out for what Nodus would do with the 9075, hoping that this would be 39mm with a lug to lug of max 46mm. Oh well, smaller wrists will have to keep looking, especially with those male endlinks. Overall it looks great though. Is the lume long-lasting or just bright initially? Gotta say though that clasp looks kinda rickety where it connects to the bracelet on both ends.

What a shame they don't sell in Europe and we have to import an pay duties... And no technical support here if we have some problem. I would like to have one but... Due to extra coat and no support... No way

It’s unoriginal. Very unlike Nodus. Too close to the GS to say simply inspired. Price point should be sub-$800.

I have the Polar. Disappointed in the dial. The flat white looks like its made of cardstock. Zero texture or finishing.
