    Christopher...you are a real down to earth human being with a lot of ingenuity inside. Don't sweat the small percentage of gripers. I admit that I fast forwarded during the original hoop house video to get to the essentials because time is short but the end product you created was fantastic and very functional.
    One tip....create an intro for your vids that shows your entire property/garden/indoor area - a panarama because it feels a bit claustrophobic when you stay in one area so long. Plus, people want to see what your countryside looks like.

    Christopher: A couple of idea's for next year. Place a soil heating cable 10cm below the surface of the soil. ( this is the cable used to keep gutters from freezing ) I draws very little power but you could put it on a timer about 1 hour before sunset to 1 hour after sunrise to off-set the coolest part of the day. Cover with 1cmx1cm welded wire screen ( we call it hardware cloth ) to stop a trowel damaging the cable. This cable is also used in the sand bed of propagation tables for bottom heat.
    You could also tape the builders plastic on one end to the first hoop; then cover this end with row cover ( re-may cloth ) for that day you forget to lift the cover. Tape the cloth to the plastic with cheap duct tape; this will reinforce the join. Bert

    Your garden is looking great. We have had so much rain this season that my garden is now starting to bear fruit...it's way behind schedule. I had to plant late then I lost a lot of plants because the rain brought out the slugs and bugs and those did a lot of damage. I am surprised I have a crop at all. I mostly have tomatoes, peppers and sweet corn left. Congrats on your fame...glad you're staying true to who you are. People like to voice their opinions. This is your channel so don't let them change you 😊

    Great Job. Going to make a SIP raised Bed (self watering lined) using your top design. Here in NV South Lake Tahoe still very cold in the evenings and we must conserve water. I love how you created a punch list of items I can order from Amazon via link. Very convient to simply click on the link and order (maybe next time create a shopping basket w/ all the items needed to build the project). I love Norway and how you can grow such things in a very short growing season. Happy Gardening!

    I've only just discovered your channel and have been truly enjoying your vids. When you got to the point where you were sharing that people were complaining I had to stop and post a note. You enjoy what you do...keep doing it. If per chance others enjoy watching your content, then how fortunate that is for both you and for them. If; however, they take issue with one thing or another...hmmm...trying to be polite here...enlighten them to the fact that the internet is a big place and there are MANY other content options for them to invest their time and opinions into while not detracting from you and your channel for those of us that do enjoy your work "as is". In a nutshell, tell 'em to bugger off down the road if they don't like it after all! ;-) So much for politeness...

    How about stacking a row of bricks around your raised bed? Might that capture enough sun heat to radiate inward to keep the soil a bit warmer and raise the growing temperature for the peppers? Or maybe put some bricks/dark stones on the soil between the pepper plants.

    Christopher, I too am a fellow chili lover. The past 2 years I have been trying different varieties to figure out which ones like to grow the best in our climate. I´m growing in soil and hydroponic, no heat, medium heat and superhot. If you want someone closer to swap seeds with here I am right next door to you in Sweden. Get in touch with me and we can talk chilis.

    Depends on where you live whether or when the hoop house will work. It would be great in winter here in the south US, but THIS time of year, here in Texas, the ONLY thing that would be happy in there would be ants! Ants love the ridiculous heat off late summer!

    nice video, i was just thinking you may have some cross-pollination going on since all the you plants are fairly close to one another, not a bad thing may just explain the results you are getting.

    • @ChristopherBrandsdal
      @ChristopherBrandsdal  7 лет назад +1

      Cross pollination will not show different result until the seeds from the pollinated fruit is grown out. But there is probably alot of cross pollination, so I need to be aware of this if I save seeds.
