Great video thanks! I bought the 300watt, 650watt, and the 1K Visionsmith ReLamps. I noticed the color temperature of the "Daylight" 1K lamp (this may hold true of the others I haven''t had time to test) read 4560 degrees K at first striking and gradually climbed to 5000 degrees by 10 minutes... metered on my Minolta Color meter. Wondered if you have done in color temperature tests with your lamps. Also I noticed the output from the 650 and the 1K lamps metered the same at equal distance and flood setting on the two different lamps. This seems incorrect if the lamps are truly rated at 650 and 1K. Wondered if you had noticed this...if you have these two lamps of course. Thanks for any input.
SmallWStudio thank you for this valuable information measuring the color temperature. I don’t have ways to do that. And I only have the 650. As far as brightness it’s spot on comparing to the halogen 650. And the daylight on mine looks just right on camera. No need to “warm up”...
@@ArtVideoProductions Thanks for the reply. Yeah a bit strange on color temp. I tested with my Minolta Color meter just cause I was curious and was surprised to see it shift as the light stayed on for a period of time. Also paying more for the 1K I was a bit bummed to find it had the same output as the 650. VisionSmith never responded to my emails or calls so that was disheartening to say the least. Live and learn I guess. Thanks again for your reply..all the best!
@@ArtVideoProductions I won't bother you any more I promise but...the other day in a recording studio on a shoot my 300watt Arri with a VisionSmith lamp shut down to what appeared 1/2 power. I turned it off and back on and it seemed to run fine after that. I suspect it was a heat issue but the studio was very cool so again I'm have little issues that give me pause...
mano, inacreditável... posso comprar um monte de fresnel antigos e só trocar pra LED... não tenho como lhe agradecer!!! tu tinha que tentar com um 2K :-)
Most lights looks magenta, some look green. Most people don’t like magenta. And the more hours you put on a light that’s magenta, it will tend to shift to green. 🤷♂️
hahaha laughable to spend more than $500 for something you can buy off ebay/aliexpress for $10. You can retrofit something like that easy with led currently. Good comparison of the lights.
I seriously doubt that it can be the same thing, performance, color accuracy, cooling and hardware. If you can build your own with the same specs for $10, share a link.
@@ArtVideoProductions at this very moment I am retrofitting an e27 fitting in a big studio lamp (which hold beforehand a 1kw gy9.5 lamp). If you have the room in it (as I have), you can look for a 50w or 100w e27 led lamp. Granted.. not every studio light has room. And changing the gy9.5 fitting can be cumbersome...but if you are handy and DIY oriented, 500 to 1000$ is a steep price.. if you only look for led light of which you can solder on - and + poles to pins as thick as the holes of the gy9.5.. you are almost set. A heatsink can also be added if you want to. 5$ led light (50w) + heatsink ~5 -10 $ (just look it up) and some elbow grease: a DIY retrofitted studio lamp tailored to your need..
This is dope. The best part about using Arri products is client perception, so you get to keep that while still using LEDs.
Thank you for this review, I'm looking to repurpose my old Arri 3 piece kit and this helped out a lot. Thanks.
The LED bulb still working on mine 100%. Definitely worth it

SmallWStudio I’m sorry to hear that... and, no, you’re not bothering at all lol. It’s a pleasure.
Yes, what brand power bank is this please?
Thanks for this video!
the possibility to turn it mobile is great too!, what power bank brand are you using?
Any power bank is ok as long as it is a PURE SINE WAVE one. I recommend 300 watt and of higher for powering other lights such as a Godox ZX 150R etc.
I swore off these after I saw someone burn the shit outta themselves years ago. So this is amazing.
Ecellent presentation. Thanks.
What dimmer were you using for this?
Ron D a regular cheap lighting dimmer available anywhere at amazon Ebay etc.

Beleza mano! Que bom que pude ajudar.
This is really great information Mr ArtVideo Productions. Can you please share the brand of the power bank? Thanks

one visionsmith 650 LED bulb is $600 in 2021 -

@@HenkLeerssen don’t forget the FAN. Heat sink is not enough.
@@ArtVideoProductions 50w led light can sometimes do without a fan depending on the design of the led. 100w led.. I would agree with you
@@HenkLeerssen post a video on RUclips. I would love to see what you can accomplish. I might buy one off you 😀
I have an ARRI 650 plus.
