    We have now added a "safe zone" feature. If you have patches filled with sand or bare ground like the one in the video, you can set these areas as safe zones so that the robot will no longer recognise them as obstacles and will work properly.

    Appreciate your video. Most videos have no trees so no navigation issues. I have a few large trees and I like the Orion because it can work under trees vs others that lose position. Still waiting for my Orion Plus to be delivered. Was supposed to be shipped May 20th but pushed back to June 9th. At least they notified me vs Kowoll who does not communicate.

    Thanks for the video. Do you think it’s powerful enough for thick st Augustine grass in FL?

    • @TheLawnEngineer
      @TheLawnEngineer  8 месяцев назад +1

      I think so. There is a low and high cutting disc speed. I think you would have to use the high speed and it might use more battery.

      @@TheLawnEngineer do you think it does better than the Luba on hills and thick grass?

    • @TheLawnEngineer
      @TheLawnEngineer  8 месяцев назад +1

      I would say straight line performance is comparable between the two. The Orion is better at turning and not tearing up grass.

    About how long do the blades last under normal use?

    • @TheLawnEngineer
      @TheLawnEngineer  8 месяцев назад +2

      Each cutting edge lasts me 3-4 weeks. Each blade has four cutting edges, so each blade can be used 12-16 weeks.

    Great video. I hope you get an Oasa. Super interested in a system that doesn't use an RTK. This SunSeeker looks like a really great option right now.

      @@TechnicR What type of grass do you have and how high do you cut? I really need to a comparison video, but Luba stripes better but doesn't cut well about 2" on weaker grass. the X7 cuts better because the deck is more open and it doesn't bend the grass over but little to no striping. Also app and control is better for Luba.

      Luba 2 is heavier and less nimble. Orion X7 has a lot of advantages from a design perspective. Luba's only advantage seems to be that it has 8 blades compared to the 6 that the X7 has...
      Tried a Luba in my yard. Pretty impressive except for the awkward turning. Will try Orion X7 soon and then make a decision.
