    Appreciate your videos/review. I’ve had a Luba 2 for about 3 weeks. Previously owned another brand that requires boundary wire. I’ve viewed several videos prior to purchasing and still watch others for tips. The one thing I see a lot that you touched on is the need to “pre-mow” the area first, versus trying to mow very high grass. I’ve always explained to other interested people that it’s a “lawn maintainer” 🙂

    I've been thinking about these for a while now. Thank you so much for all this info. It's seriously helped me a ton! I'm thinking I'm going to proceed and purchase now 100% due to this video and all its valuable information and education!
    Thanks again!!

      My parents spend about $150 a month for a guy to mow their lawn. I calculated it'll take 1.5 years for this to pay for it's self. Plus i have it running every 2 days so the lawn always looks great. Now to tackle that broken sprinkler system.

      The mower guy must've taken a couple of months off seeing as he didn't notice the big brown patch that used to be a lawn.

    Luba 2 still makes the doughnut in front of the home station, it makes a 180° turn before backing into the station, always at the same place. Something to consider when you pick a place for the home station. You can disable zero turns which makes it gentle on the lawn but that doesn't work at the base station,...

    • @cd7856
      @cd7856 7 месяцев назад

      I think they have fixed that now.

    • @kanaalvanNI
      @kanaalvanNI 7 месяцев назад

      @cd7856 , no they didn't. They did stop providing the net, they have the "omnidirectionional" wheels but they still make a 180° turn in front of the station, always at the same place.

      Yeah, and they could fix this but refuse to do so.
      I told them to set in the algorithm to make a multi point turn when positioning to dock.
      They just ignore us when we tell them.

    I was wondering about grass clippings, arent they constantly in the grass, sticking to shoes and feet, because luba is supposed to mow more often than a tractor right? How often does your luba mow? We use lawn tractor like once in 2 weeks, so the sticky clippings are a problem, but only for a few days.

    You are going to end up your making your luba 2 fall of the cliff of your retaining wall and ruin it completely! You should always leave at least 20 cm from the edge. If there is a retaining wall, for the safety of your mower, keep it away at least 30 to 40 cm from the retaining wall. If your RTK antenna moves just a few cm or or if you have a CME (solar flare) and your mower will shift about 10 cm, it will fall off the cliff! Taking such a high risk just not to use the trimmer to trim the edges is crazy. Please note, if your mower falls off the cliff, this isn't covered under waranty.

      Disingenuous video IMHO, The Luba works well for a short time till satellite positioning fails due to variations in the elliptical sat orbits and RTK goes to blue vs. green. Mine worked well for about 8 weeks and then muchas problemas. Calling Mammotion for service or returns is a joke as tech and customer service is non-existent as reported on many other sites. This over-hyped robot mower is not capable of dealing with positioning issues and will become a door stop shortly. Avoid it like a plague or skunk on ur lawn. Go with a known brand name that backs up their product offerings unlike luba.

    Correction. It will, by default, go slower when mapping, but you can adjust it to go faster.
    Also, when zones/areas are touching, you do not need a channel.

    Hi Steve, thank you for making this video. I am considering on buying one for a third of an acre yard. My concern is the placement of the tower. Does it have to be in direct view of the mower at all times? If the tower is on one side of the house and the mower is on the opposite side then would it still work? Thanks again, Tom

    I find the title funny. Does this robot also trim bushes and trees?

    My only complaint about this robo mower is that you cannot replace the batteries. You have to send it off to get them replaced. Mammotion needs to make them user replaceable. Even if you have to take it apart to get to them. From what I understand (I don't own one yet) they are welded, or maybe spot welded in. I would still try if it was out of warranty and I could get a suitable battery.

    this mower, can you raise the height to mow the grass not as short? You may not be aware that short mowed grass is unhealthy. The lawn will end up suffering in heat. If possible, raise the mower to leave 2 to 3 inch tall blades. The grass will thank you for it.

    I hope someone does not steal it seeing that you are not around to monitor it.

    • @SteveDOES
      @SteveDOES  7 месяцев назад +2

      I worry about that myself. When it does run in the front yard my parents will sit out there and watch it. You can also install a SIM card that will allow you to monitor it's whereabouts incase it is stolen. They also have build in protection that no one else can't register the device with another account if it's still linked to yours.

    ⚠ CAUTION ⚠
    Purchased new LUBA 2 AWD 10000 for $4178

    Issues remain unresolved by Mammotion (45 days so far)
    Mower not able to complete a task properly.
    Mammotion not responded to warranty request for replacement
    Buyers beware, I’m certainly not the only one with this experience
