    I’ve been a fan of SVS for a while now. I have 3 SVS ultra center speakers as my front stage and a single SB 3000 sub and now that SVS has finally came out with a in wall sub I hope we don’t have to wait long till they bring out in wall speakers to the market and upgrade their amazing atmos speakers. SVS I hope you see this comment 😂😂😂😂

    Thank you for the review. I think four of these, one in each corner, will work fantastic in my 20 square meter room. I won't have much floor space on my project... so this seems like a very elegant solution. The other speaker will also be in walls...in the end no one will see where the sound is coming from😊

      I love not seeing equipment, four of these would be a great setup.

    Thanks for the review, nice set up! To answer your question, I like the 4 sealed SVS SB2000 Pro that I have. their smaller footprint (when compare to a ported box) allows me to put one in each corner of the room in order to get better seat to seat consistency between all 5 seats (2 rows). Using a mini DSP 2x4HD, REW with a Umik-1 and MSO, I was able to get great bass in every seat before allowing the AVR to run its calibration and integrate the subs with the mains.

      Sounds like a great setup. I have a minidsp 2x4hd here ready to calibrate this weekend. Two SVS SB2000 arriving this week to replace my single PB2000.

    Thank you for the review, they look amazing. Do you think they would work installed on the left of a room (pretty much my only option for wall) as well as the front install you did?

    Hey! Thanks for the review. I am looking at using this with my limited space. I dont have ARC Genesis (have an Onkyo receiver). Would I be able to fine tune this with the SVS software as a relative noob? I really only have one spot to put this anyway, so I wont be able to sub walk quite frankly.
    My ONLY other option is a limited cabinet below the TV and I just dont like that option with rattle and limitations of sub size

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Год назад

      The SVS app will definitely help, but I think you’d want to also have REW (free) and a UMIK-1 (about $100) to help. Possibly a MiniDSP if the SVS app and the Onkyo’s software aren’t quite pulling it.

    SVS claims 22Hz… I think you mentioned getting 27hz? Is that from placement or calibration?
    I have a ported sub for my home theater just because I WANT the dishes to rattle when the T-Rex is walking by onscreen lol…. but sealed for my 2.1 music setup for the musicality.

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Месяц назад

      27Hz was the spec when reviewed but it dug much deeper with real-world room gain factored in, closer to 22Hz in my room, corner-loaded.

    This sounds like best option for me to watch movies plus I am going have all my speakers of in wall

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Год назад +1

      I love the fact that it disappears in the wall. And the longer I had it installed in my system, the further removed I became from the memory of my PB-2000, the more I loved this subwoofer. Really a great option for a majority of users.

    Would this be a suitable option to use as a rear sub in a speaker column to avoid protruding too far in to a dedicated room?

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Год назад

      That's definitely a great use case for this type of sub. You might want to consider a pair, or a dual configuration to make sure you get even response across the room.

    • @kopkiwi08
      @kopkiwi08 Год назад

      @@av_nirvana the other side of the back of the room has space for a full sized sub it’s just the proximity to the door that’ makes this specific location painful

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Год назад

      As long as they’re both sealed subs you should be able to use them together but trying to run a ported sub along with a sealed sub is not recommended.

    Sir i want to know something about dirac sound ..
    How to use dirac mobile app & how many things are require to operate this dirac software ...?

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Год назад

      Hello, thanks for watching. I have not used Dirac in several years. Dirac Mobile requires a Dirac-enabled unit from NAD, Onkyo, Pioneer, Integra, or Pioneer Elite. Provided you have a processor/receiver equipped with Dirac, the mobile app should walk you through the steps required.

    Prefer ported subs. With ported subs I can seal the ports to change over to seal subs.

    Can they be mounted horizontally without having any performance difference as opposed to the usual vertical orientation?

    Cool option for living rooms, dens and bedrooms. For a dedicated space, I'll stick to domething that will rattle the neighbor's dishes.
    You said its a sealed sub. Is that true, considering it looked like you have no drywall behind your screen? Seems like you just have drivers hanging off a stud.

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Год назад +1

      Fully sealed. If you look at the side views, or either of the unboxing or q&a videos I did, you can see it’s a fully enclosed and sealed aluminum enclosure designed to fit within any standard 2x4 framed wall. I have a false wall primarily filled with insulation and my LCRs, and covered with velvet and the acoustically transparent screen, which acts as an entire front wall of absorption.

    Those measurements mean that I would have to get 4 or 8 of them, placed 2 and 2 in each corner above each other to get the extra 6 dB gain (they already made use of with the dual-driver design). 4 for music but to get the output below 30 Hz in my room that should be obligatory when using the term "subwoofer" 8 is what is needed and paired with DSP (ie Anti-Mode, MiniDSP), but 4 dual sets will cost enough that getting two M&K's would probably be a better option (though I have no way of doing a real comparison).

    There is a lack of affordable options for low profile screen wall subwoofers, and I think this is a nice option depending on expectations. I do wish they would have sent you two of them, because I think with front and rear wall placements, your outcome would have been better. I imagine for 95% of people wanting a system this subwoofer is a good option and certainly cheaper than the JL Audio ones. I think it's also important to note that there are plenty of sealed subwoofers available that will sound fantastic for music and also offer deeper extension than your PB-2000 does, especially in the price range of the SVS3000 inwall... but it's not so thin and that packaging counts for a lot!

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  Год назад

      I agree with everything you've said. :) The measurements I lost did show a couple placements in the rear of the room that filled in that null - but of course it was in the room and no wall to mount it in where it would help. I'm looking at moving to a pair of sealed subs. I have the luxury of floor space, so I don't NEED an in-wall, even though I love that it can disappear. I think a pair of these, particularly a pair of single sub systems so as not to split the amplifier power, would do really well for most applications, especially if a room is sealed. Our house is an open loft-style, so this room opens up to the stairwell up to two floors above - so it's impossible to fully "pressurize" in this situation, yet it still performed really well.

    Is the reason why someone would get 2 of these, for even bass to fill the room since it’s going from 800 to 400watts with a 2 sub system?

    • @av_nirvana
      @av_nirvana  11 месяцев назад

      Yes, dual subs allows you to use placement to even out room modes.
