SVS makes some awesome Elevation and Surround sound speakers as well, I use them on the sides and rear end of my Home theater room, because they have such a rich, clear, and deep sound that handles ATMOS flawlessly. They pair well with my front Klipsch front heights for clear mid-high range and my massive RSL 1986 Studio Monitors L&R, as well as the newer RSL Center and Sub Woofer. I am a fan of SVS & RSL.

Hi, this is Scooter Steve I purchased the prime pedicle speakers. They are excellent. I had the piano glass I got the whole entire set so when you play your music on RUclips, I was able to turn on and here the good quality sound out of it. It sounds really awesome. I can hear the mid range the tweeter and the base it sounds like I’m really there but I’m using your RUclips channel when you play the music. Thanks for doing that you’re doing an excellent job take care. This is scooter Steve.

Interesting. Thanks for you great videos. I currently have tekton design speakers (paper woofers) pretty good for live but lacks dynamic. Recently purchased an ultra center.. big upgrade... but thinking of going Arendals for tower replacement. Would the 6.5 center ultras match well enough with the 1723 to mix them? I thought maybe having that crisp dome ultra for dialog and 1723 for a little more warmth might be a good mix (although people say matching is important)

Hey Villaman love your reviews, regular visitor of your channel. I need help choosing Front LCR - I have new Anthem AVM 70, using Emotiva 5 channel amp for main 5 speakers and Outlaw for overhead. I had Klipsch 8000F and matching Center, then Martin Logan 60 and matching Center - great speakers but I am just sensitive to treble and found them both bright, got headaches after watching movie like John wick or listening to music for long.
Right now I am doing trial on SVS Pinnacle Prime Tower and Ultra Center and liking it so far and find them less bright. I have seen your and Sparechange review on Arendal and wondering if its worth trying Arendel Towers and Center - are they bright, neutral, warm compare to Klipsch/SVS? I watch movies 80% of the time and 20% music - all genres.

SVS for Home Theater. Should have more dynamics, so more bass and sparkle, which is good for movies and surround sound. Wharfdale usually makes warm and more laid-back gear, so it would make the movie seem more dull, or at least less exciting.

For the last year just about everyone I talked to say the 1723 are very good and have the exact signature I like. I was going to get PSA but after hearing the horns on those I opted out they are to aggressive for my taste. Sadly my ears can't handle horns and that took JTR off my list also.

  • @1987BMW325is

GR Research does an upgraded DIY crossover kit that improves these towers, there is a detailed teardown that shows the cheap parts they used in the crossover, alum wires etc etc, it would be nice to see you listen to both and give your thoughts if its worth the upgrade, and if the Ultras are better then the Arendal 1723 THX towers with that upgrade, for movies and music 50/50 split. I am running 2 PB3000 subs and kept my original sealed Paradigm Ultra Cube 12, so over 7k watts of bass and my Paradigm Monitor 11 towers are just not doing anything for the midrange punch that I am looking for. I am looking to upgrade and just heard about the Arendals through Adioholics a week ago, so very curios as to which is the better option. I listen to crazy loud Heavy Metal and Metalcore , as well as House and hip hop and Dance.

Thanks for the great video. I have owned the ultra towers for a year now and think they are the best speaker under 4k a pair. I don't think anything I've heard or read about comes close. And you will 100% not find another full sized pair of towers for 2k that can come close to the bass response without a powerful subwoofer.
The only downside is you need room to keep the side firing woofers away from walls, and you need to feed them high quality power. 300 dollar av receivers won't do it.

I personally have purchased the pinnacles, ultra center, ultra surrounds for side and rears, 2 SB- 4000 subs and the elevations for the heights but have all of them still in boxes until my room construction is complete.

  • @jimovergaard1254

SVS uses cheapest versions of Peerless drivers as Peerless NEO is far better, and the crossover components are "slow" electrolytic caps rather than aluminum or copper film caps (which the former are less than $1 and the latter is vastly faster and the sound change is obvious), their 18/20 ga iron wound inductors are all less than $3 with the ability to handle large signals minimized by wiring that is better for tweeters only. The internal wiring is garbage aluminum with superior hookup wire which I use COPPER ANGELIQUE® WIRE PTFE. The SVS Ultra Tower I have tested against my Maggie 3.6r (revised with much better components and wiring and actively bi-amped and the difference is staggering. Clarity, depth, width, and the ability to identify instruments independently rather than a mosh of sound is huge and classical live recordings of the late 60s to early 80s one can identify the sections of the orchestra compared to terribly non-detailed mush for low end and a midrange that is infinitely faster and HF of the aluminum tweeter of SVS is again the lower end of their product range.
I can see by the setup few account for the room acoustics and most "audiophiles" today are mouthpieces for product and what they see, not what they hear. The older B&W matrix is also far beyond these eliminating standing waves internally. The listening room is almost shown as live and little ability to position, let along the most important aspect of the music is the elimination of standing wave in the listening room with damping control and walls that are not "flat" and poorly constructed cheap boards with a few coats of paint.
