That's exactly what I thought as well!! She looks around 60, and she has more energy and strength than some 30 year olds I know. Wow! just simply wow and very impressive!
As a new male flight attendant to be, watching this video and feeling the love she feels for the career makes me feel thrilled and happy about the path I decided to go for. I hope to be as happy as she's been.
Betty ! My hat is off to you ... as a former Flight Attendant I am sure you know that today the FA’s don’t want to work ... and BTW I started with Eastern and we really worked ... so if you are still flying the line ... you teach those young people what it’s all about ! God Bless you !
@@justinmcneilliii8561 also I'm saying the was at the beginning. She would I'm guessing work there for at least 20 years so during the time at EAL I don't know if that's possible but I'm not you so I wong judge
I love her! I'm a flight attendant, too. Only 19 years, though. Betty is a wonderful person who obviously loves her passengers and loves what she does. ♡
Will Greigh If you think that I'm getting dressed up to fly on a plane to Philadelphia, Detroit, or Seattle, and don't get me started on Newark, NJ...You're out of your high flying mind!

If anyone deserves this comment, she does: "Thank you for your service, ma'am." Aside from all of the accolades others are posting, allow me to compliment Betty for being so articulate and a great spokesperson for her industry. So rare nowadays when most people can't put two coherent sentences together. Betty is a credit to her profession.
I remember her. When my nephews were 2 & 3 and would not stop crying on the plane because "they both wanted to sit with their Mom" we tried everything to stop them from crying and apologized to the passengers on the plane immensely. Kudos to all flight attendants. I fly 25-30 times a year for the last 7 years mostly coach sometimes business and have always encountered nothing but true professionalism no matter the airline. Respect in this world is a two way street. Give and you will get. Too bad a lot of people in this day and age feel that rules do not apply to them and throw a tantrum like a 2 year old when they are called out on breaking the rules and then want a lawsuit. Society is plunging downward as a whole.
This video made me sad thinking about the 9/11 incident and about all the wonderful people ,that lost their lives, fortunately she wasn't one of them, such a charming lady God bless
A very amazing woman!!!! I sure wish she was one of my Aunts. She brings such positive energy into this world! She's the most amazing Flight Attendant I've ever seen!!!
R.I.P Bette Nash who sadly passed away aged 88 a few days ago (im commenting on the 05/28/24) and was still working as far as i know! A truly insperational person who will be sadly missed by all her regular passengers on the dc to Boston route and all her american airlines work colleagues who over the years had the privilage to serve with her! 😢
Wow at 80 she's still moving and flying... Awesomeness... Can't help not to think about my generations who are lazy and tends to complain a lot for little stuff... Where will we be once or if ever we reached that age...
So amazing to see her so proud, energetic, happy for helping people. Maybe one day I can follow my dreams, and be a flight attendant, but of course won't be so brilliant as you are. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Great for you, you are a wonderful asset to the airline and passengers. You have devoted so many decades to helping people and making sure they are safe while aboard the aircraft. I hope, many times over, that you don’t end up facing one of the present day violent, rude, obnoxious, horrible, self-centered,
Contrary to public perception, flight attendants are not trolley-pushers and beverage dispensers. They are, primarily, crew members with specific and extremely important tasks in case of the an emergency (cf. US Airways 1549). Far from "cute", this video is a celebration of flight safety dispositions "bending" and, as such, it begs a question that should be addressed by the FAA and other global regulatory agencies: Given the verifiable frailty of this crew member will she be able to perform her duties in an emergency or will she, herself, become another assistance-requiring-hotspot for passengers and fellow crew members during such an event?
Wow she's rocking the Skies like no one. Just take a look how she smiles and is doing her job with Happiness. She's an inspiration for sure. That's how u live when you really love what you do: HAPPY! A view from the top!
JE ENN Aviaition is 24/7 so you will be working the busiest holidays, be up at 3 am or 10 pm, work for 14-17 hours straight, dealing with each passenger individually which is emotionally abd physically draining, dealing with rude and mad passengers who yell at you for no reason, your up on your feet all day,no real breaks for food or rest unless you get delayed at the airport, dealing with different altitudes and time zones and different environments from the outside, you get sick often because people are dirty and nasty and unclean and you have to clean the aircraft after every turn, you get paid shit money for the job you do and only get paid once you fly, you have yo deal with emergency situations (which is your main focus and job), half of the month I'm not home so you can't have pets or it's really hard to have kids/pets.
Wow, the seniority she has!!! I bet she makes her own schedule, and plane model!! She's always lead FA, and could stay in first class of she wanted. She's so neat, elegant and beautiful.

She looks great at 80. When I read the title, I briefly thought she was only 60.
