With their new FCC filing, I think the range is going to improve. Love what Skydio has built, the potential for this drone is off the charts.

Skydio sorry but what happens if you are flying indoor during the night in an illuminated space and go out through a window and out is dark. Can you fly in the nigh outside?
@@DRONIXAR You will get warnings to land due to low light. If you ignore those warnings you risk Skydio 2 hitting an obstacle and crashing.

Love Skydio 2, it´s really a game changer. I would love if I can turn off the sensors to fly during the night or through a tiny corridor on my own risk. But I really love this drone is several steps ahead congratulations for this amazing product. You got the power right now.

good job good job skydio, I would get this drone in a heartbeat over any DJI overpriced drones, keep up the good job and you will some day own the market just remember to keep your prices reasonable when the time comes!!!!!
@Lon Denard for the mean time, get you something to do by until the skydio arrives - you have not gone wrong by your choice even with the delay....I'm afraid once skydios start rolling prices will hike up!
@Lon Denard yep and they no longer support their first drone, got less than a year of support . so wonder how long they will support this model?
The interesting thing is to see how DJI responds with the Mavic 3 pro, I think both drones would hold a place for differing uses for the semi pro Part 107 user...

Can you do a low light test? It doesn’t fly in the dark so what happens If it gets dark while you’re flying, like at sunset?
Skydio 2 will warn you when the lighting conditions are getting too low for the cameras to see and avoid obstacles correctly. Sunset/sunrise flying should be fine, but also can depend on your location and how dark the shadows are.

Appreciate the video but when will RUclips creators learn to manage the sound levels for even volume? Intros and music that blast your ears out but then speech that is 50% lower. Constantly adjusting volume because for whatever a reason a concept creators don't get. Totally takes away from the constant. Level the volume. Thanks
I didn't have to change my volume at all, maybe your own hardware

So just to be clear, using the controller you can fly sideways? For example, to fly parallel to a cliff face for 1000 ft or so while shooting the cliff?

I really like your video! Was wondering if you could give a example of how to adjust the sensitivity of the flight area, meaning how to increase or decrease how tight of an area the Skydio2 can safely fly. Thank you for what you do, and keep up the excellent demonstrations.
Beautiful shots! I grew up in the Springs long before drones, lol. Love the whole area and Manitou is of course beautiful. Wondering if you could take the Skydio back to Cripple Creek and some of the old ghost towns and get some shots there? Not sure if the altitude would affect it, which speaking of altitude, if I still lived in Colorado I’d head up Pikes Peak when the road is open and see how she flew at 14,000ft. THAT would be interesting. Thanks for putting this together, this drone is amazing.
You need to clean the sensor and the lens of the ground camera.
Nice to see a video where someone is actually flying this drone. How fast is it on boost? So this drone can't fly at night at all or is it just that the sensors don't work at night?
How do the batteries hold up in the cold in reference to flight time? I am big into backcountry snowmobiling & dirt biking, and I am SUPER interested in the Skydio as it seems like to perfect fit for me; but I want to be sure it is the right drone and since 60% of the time I will be shooting in winter scenarios, I am curious as to how this holds up. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you! Great content BTW! Very well done and very informative!
Very nice! How did you get on that place you took off? You must be part mountain goat! Lol! You said you lived in Manitou Colorado. Back in 1964, for vacation, my dad rented a house for the summer in Manitou Springs. I don't know if that is the same place but it was a neat place to be as a kid. Great shots you made there. Skydio is reported to be upgrading the app to have telemetry very early next year! Badly needed. I wouldn't be surprised if they do not come out with an all new controller and transmission system when they come out with a Skydio 3!
It will be interesting to see your low light shots because the Skydio is a daylight drone only. Keep up the good work. I will now subscribe to see what Skydio vids you make. Merry Christmas! Tom
Damn, thats a nice place for aerialphotography! 🤗 Skydio 2 looks like a really cool drone, but will not hop on the bandwagon this time. But it sure is exciting to see how drone technology evolves. My M2P will keep me busy til Skydio 3 haha. Thanks for sharing your experience with the controller, thumbs up from Sweden!

Seing you having a good time I really like to have a skydio with an FOV 20mm lense bringing it to remote location where it can shoot wide the whole environment were my mavic 2 couldnt do less worry? Thanks for sharing! Btw I notice it doesnt beep when its near branches or objects but still you can move around and not stopping you from navigation.

f possible, I ask you to show the quality of the video broadcast, What is the legibility and detail of the image when increasing the distance, up to the maximum. And what is the real , precisely the real, not the declared range 1).flight with a clear working out of commands from the console; and 2). The maximum possible range up to the complete loss of the control signal from the remote control? Of course in the same place: the hill and the lack of interference of the radio remote < - > copter.

sad thing is, DJI already monopolized the drone advertisement here in the Philippines, and when I mentioned skydio they were like "sky what?" and they will start arguing with me that DJI is better than Skydio! and yes! skydio is no where to be found anywhere here in the Philippines.

I just ordered controller for my Skydio 2 drone.
I got this to extend the range of the drone- as this has been tough using my phone and getting limited range and not saving my video footage.
One question - with the drone being farther away w the added distance from controller - will I be able to press the vortex, orbit, etc and access the camera from my phone still?? Was concerned b/c without the remote, the drone doesn’t go very far. ***And I want to be able to control the shots w my phone while it is out at longer ranges. ***

Hello, I have a Samsung Note20 5G phone, the Skydio app has been installed without problems, but I can't do the optical motion track, when the drone sees me, or sees a car, a bike, or a group of people, it applies a "+" on each of them, but if I click on them, nothing happens, the spinning trail I’m expecting to see, does not appear around the subject,
So I’m missing the best features of the skydio, orbit, dronie etc., only the cable mode works, to be motion-tracked I must do it on the beacon ... does anyone else have this issue?
I hope the next generation of this drone is foldable

It's just a toy for young children, DJI remains at work. Skydio they walk the path of Lily.
Footage still looks bad and the flying is pretty poor .
