I am really sorry for the over exposure, i made a big mistake on the camera and had to deal with it in post haha. Never again! Hopefully the video was still watchable and informative!

Record your screen withe the iphones built in screen recorder. Then edit it in. It will be easier

I love this explanation of all the modes! I have one on pre-order. I'm hoping they work on getting the subject more into the center of the frame for some of the one-shots. Other than that the tracking is incredible!

Like that the S2 comes back after the one shots are complete. Sometimes I'd like to use that feature even though manually I'm used to doing it.

Hey Kyle, I've enjoyed your last videos on the Skydio. This is the kind of drone that I've been waiting for to capture my action sports. My biggest ask for Skydio would be better battery life in colder temperatures to capture snowboarding / splitboarding. I read that -5 celcius was it's limit which doesn't work for a lot of winter locations. Still, it's great seeing such progression with autonomous drones.
This is such a good drone. I want one. Not available yet in Aus but it is on my shopping list. Great Video too mate.Great work.

Most drones do a much better job tracking from behind....they struggle tracking as well from the front. Something to keep in mind when trying to get those shots.

Good video, thanks ! The orbit mode looks pretty cool because using speed you can choose how it's following you without pulling out the beacon or your smartphone. Fixed Track is a bit hard to explain/understand, reminds of when Parrot introduced that on the BeBop ;-)

Thanks for keeping us entertained and informed as we wait for our birds to arrive. I hope Skydio will add the ability to do waypoint missions beyond the 2 point cable cam, Other drones in this class all have that ability but the Skydio's excellent obstacle avoidance would make it much safer. Also it seems like it would be possible to capture 360 images in one shot with the six cameras. That would be an awesome feature.

Thanks for the information on all the flight modes. I’m still waiting for mine to get delivered. Unfortunately I didn’t preorder early enough and my order is scheduled for the 2nd quarter 2020. I can hardly wait until it gets here.
Now I will have to decide on which drone I’ll be flying, the Skydio 2 or my DJI M2P and Inspire 2. Actually that’s not a bad problem to have!!

Have you flown the Skydio at low altitudes over water? Do the instructions or recommendations say anything about flying over water or warn against it? Some drones have trouble at low alt over water and even freak out (malfunction) because the water often gives off reflections and a false sense of depth that the vision sensing systems on some drones can't interpret correctly. Would love to know how the Skydio fares in this situation.

Hey Kyle, thanks for taking the time to go through those flight modes. Great video man. I'm curious how the Skydio would behave over water considering it relies so heavily on visual cues for spatial awareness. I know my old Phantom 4 had some issues locking position when flying near the water.

I guess the one minor quibble with the Skydio 2 is that it doesn't seem consistent at keeping the subject centered in some of the skill shots. That can be improved with firmware updates. I would expect some variability for a moving subject, but not a stationary one.
Yeah they actually have programed it to maintain the rule of thirds instead of getting it directly centered but I think it has some room for improvement for sure!
Kyle, thank you for posting all the videos. Can’t wait to get mine! I had a question on the Cable track. Is there a way to yaw the gimbal/drone as it’s performing the cable?

Really nice video! I picked up my first "real" mountain bike a little over a month ago and am quickly becoming addicted to it. Been really looking forward to getting my own Skydio, and will likely sell my Mavic 2 pro as the tracking is just no where near as good. iOS pro tip for you, instead of trying to get the perfect angle from an external camera to show what is happening on your phone, iOS will let you record your screen and it will save it as a video you can cut into your main timeline. To enable it just go to Settings -> Control Center -> Customize and then add the "Screen Recording" control. Now when you swipe to show the control center you will have a button you can hit to start a recording. Hope that helps some, if not then please just ignore me 😂

Push the land button and stick out your hand.
Hey glen, you can actually just press the land button and let it land itself on the ground as long as it is reasonably level or grass shorter than a couple inches. They are working on a way to set the case on the ground and have the drone identify the logo on the case and land there!
