This was a really nice Carson’s even though it was small. I remember we once spent 2 hours in the same corner looking for a gift. Lol. But just one of the many things I remember from Stratford square when it was thriving (like when JCPenney was there or Macy’s) can’t wait for your update I plan on doing one also.
Stratford Square is screwed if they don't repurpose at least 2 of their empty anchors, Kohl's attempted to leave the mall last year but couldn't secure a deal on the empty Kmart across the street
I miss Carson Pirie Scott.a true classic.if only Washington Prime Group could have changed their fortunes by appearing in bankruptcy court.maybe a lot of Midwest malls from Illinois,Minnesota,Iowa, and Indiana wouldn’t be failing.the company operated 256 stores.that’s a lot of empty square footage.it affected malls like.Stratford Square and especially Spring Hill Mall in West Dundee.
I went to see the abandoned Carson's at Fox Valley Mall in Aurora earlier today and when I looked through the second floor entrance, I SAW SOMEBODY IN THE STORE and it scared me LOL
Yeah they been working on it since last year or rather since 2019 my bad I used to be security at Fox Valley and I guess it’s supposed to be a restaurant and move theatre
This mall isn't really that old...err wait...it's younger than me by 3 years..anyway, I remember coming here as a kid in the 80s. I guess Army Trail Road was 2 lanes back then?
I worked at this store when it opened. It was so nice and the coworkers there were the best. That was in 1981.
Loved the inside store shots. Surprised all the fixtures are still there. How i miss Carson's.
Nice one, those interior shots are perfect.

That intro is so cool
Sorry to hear Stratford Square is going downhill so fast, this was my local mall. Namdar is the kiss of death.
Yeah, it's a shame how it's looking.
I really hate they closed them all. I went to the Bergner's in Rockford a lot and the Carson at Randhurst Mall in Mt. Prospect!!
Sad it happened. Glad you're preserving history!
What a nice prospective picture in the first with the light fixtures
Was this part of bonton stores cause this looks like bonton
Yes
i love you and your videos you rock
Bon-Ton Stores are still missed. Younkers is still missed out here. The Carson videos remind me of Younkers.
WOW they left a LOT of fixtures in there! that's crazy! I guess a new tenant could use em again at least, hopefully thats what they do!

I hope something will happen there
Also, why didn't they take down the sign yet?
Because its coming back
@@jeffmodlin7136 no it’s not
Do Aldi in Bloomington it is by a Walmart and Steak ‘n Shake
@Mall Aholic Retail Channel, you should also do the abandoned shell gas station by PetSmart in Bloomington.
@@michaeldykstra4265 shell in Bloomington?!
@@ItzSkylandersGamerYT Yes it`s by Five Below.
I Loved Carson's It Sad They Went Down
Looks like it was a nice place. What a shame.

Gambler's fallacy. They lose so much money, they feel they must be due for a big win. Happens in casinos, and in board rooms.
Management of the mall being sold every other year
