Brother this is beautiful. I myself have a 2013 Ford Taurus Police car I spray painted with Rustoleum/2K clear rattle cans. I have some runs that I intentionally left in as part of my learning experience. Everyone loves it but I have to point it out to them that it's not perfect. If you're happy that's all that matters. Love the videos. Keep the good stuff coming. I learn a lot here. 😃😄😁

great gloss even without a wet sand and buff, good job with more potential if customer wanted to. as for the flex in the metal, if you weld the metal where the warp is, it'll then shrink it back and become stiff again. i had to do that on my dodge when i had it and it worked a treat.

Nice OEM paint job. Ford paints the tan first before the body color. Makes the tan little bit lighter. Hood must be aftermarket.

I have a 1985 Dodge Ramcharger that was painted a realistic military camo by a previous owner.....with spray cans! ( video of truck on my channel ) It has rust holes etc.....looks good the way it is, for what it is. But if I wanted it shiny, I'd do exactly what you just did! 👍

Funny to see the Weiss Market labels. I drive for Wegmans Food Market out of Rochester,NY. I know Weiss has a distribution center south of Williamsport.
I painted my bronco with home Depot's I think Glidden paint, matte "artillery". With a white foam roll. Makes the perfect micro sand texture. It's super durable when going the Arizona carwash when 4x4ing no pin striping even when trees and bushes scratch and slide down the whole side of the vehicle. I love it it looks badass like a military vehicle

Well said and it looks great. The ones arguing online are the ones that don't spray. I dont think I uave ever met anyone who hasn't had a run or sag before😂. Sure its a pain cause then you are stuck with more work or just leave it of its ons your own car or truck. Keep up the Great Work and Content.

I did my first blend a couple months ago and I was SHOCKED how glossy my base was. It was dry but had a shine to it like yours did. I had Tamco 1:1 base I figured it was good quality but maybe I didn't spray it too bad. Color was off have to redo now....
I only use speedokote base for big jobs and Axalta for small touch up jobs.
Speedokote base is the best in the world. I have yet to see or use better.

These guys only hate because the more average guys you teach and encourage to complete very good quality work just cuts them down from the ivory tower of qualified experts. For example ive been smashing out excellent work. Better than some of the local expert paint shops from a tyre shop full of silica and dust contamination. Even pearl metallics coming up better than factory but hey what would i know im just a qualified mechanic whos been watching you and brian from ps videos for the last few years

I also own both my body shop and mechanical shop CASH.
Not many other RUclips car people can actually say that.. Most of the guys you watch on here are renting out places going broke trying to flex and have the appearance that they "have it like that"
And they don't, but I do. And they absolutely hate that 😂

That part where you show the hood warping. My bronco's hood definitely does not do that. There's something weird with that hood. Is it aftermarket?My 3 year old could probably step on mine without denting it or flexing it

Honestly it looks great, you can hardly see any orange peel, ive seen brand new factory vehicles that look way worse, i feel like black in the sunlight really shows your orange peel the most

I can spray all the way down to 25-30 degrees no issues.
You should just build a 2x4/drywall section where you always paint. Cheap paint booth.

Just regular primer sealer
Painting and bodywork is an art, once you know the technique it is easy, but if you don't follow the steps, you tend to have problems , good video.

Im painting my integra sedan same color re spray Clover green pearl Acura color what would you recommend for primer and can primer come one color to help with my base coat I really y like that euro clear too looks good every time
Ss2790g is a good filler primer, must be sanded before paint

Turned out awsome.Way to give that rig a 2nd life. Aint perfect but who wants to spend 100s of hours 1000s of dollars making something perfect than daily drive it.
This is easily a 20k job fully restored to show quality condition.
He didn't want that nor did I
Those trucks didn't have any where near that kind of shine when new, therefore many of the imperfections in the metalwork didn't show. When I bought my '87 new, it had small 'dents' in the hood on the right side and one in the panel below the left headlight. I could have pushed the dealer to fix them but I figured the result would be two panels that didn't match, or a paint job that faded into a two color mess years later. I traded it in back in '91 for a new one in white, then that one got traded in 1996 for one in copper metallic. I wish I had kept the '96 but like the '91, it was starting to rust so it went away. The guy who ended up buying my '91 kept it till the body nearly fell off it at 350k on the clock, then sold it again to some kid who patched it up piece by piece and covered it in black bedliner. .

Craftsman 60 gallon is the one stop shop IMO. No issues with it
Are you adding any reducer to you clear coats...is that 2:1 clear?
No reducer to clear, just mix 2:1 it's pretty high solids stuff!
Could you explain your logic in using a fast clear on this overall? What was temp in your shop when you did this? Probably would be "dust free'" sooner than an overall clear which could be an advantage when you don't have a spray booth. Is there anything special that you do when using a fast clear on an overall job?
Fast temp over all is great if your spraying 30-50 degree temps like me

@@hughjass7025 yup, I spray in temps pretty much all other painters wouldn't even dare spray in. Takes a lot of patience and skill but I make it happen
Was Speedokote base used on this job? It seemed to cover pretty well.
@@hughjass7025 we used Axalta base on this. Was in a pinch to get done. Speedokote covers slightly better than this stuff and lays slightly smoother
I meant is there primers that have color like a dark green to go with base coat that’s going to be a metallic dark green G95P
The smr265 1k primer sealer along with our ss2790g primer is actually tint-able with most urethane paints, toners and dyes!!
Proceed with cautioun and always do spray out cards first

Most guys in my area don't paint anything for less than 5000
You will find that to be true across most 50 states
