Thanks Henry...actually one of the few times a camera made something look a little steeper than the trail actually is.. Still, a good workout! Thanks for the comment!
That should be perfect...enjoy! We thought of you this weekend as we passed the turn off to Jones Lake. A spot you mentioned and we are keen to try! Not too sure if our van would be ok for the road in though.
Called Arbutus trees here...but appear to also sometimes be called the Pacific Madrone. So either the same or a close cousin. Perhaps a trip to a Texas would allow us to compare! Glad you enjoyed and appreciate the comments🚐
It is a nice area. We haven’t been there during fall when the salmon spawn, but it would be amazing to see. Appreciate the comment and Happy Canada 🇨🇦 Day on July 1!
We arrived on a Sunday so campground wasn’t full, trails were quiet but the rest of the main park certainly looked popular! Suspect as you note that it can get busy! Thanks for the comment.
@@hikenrv We must have passed you on the way out!! We were there over the weekend and the park was totally full!! Would definitely go again though. Loved it. What site were you in that was so quiet?
Nice view of Mount Finlayson from the trestle bridge, thought you might do some bungee jumping;) How cool, the deer in your friends neighborhood was only about 70 meters from the deer you passed last year. Beautiful area and homes. You didn't stop in at Ma Miller's Pub?:) Great scramble up Finlayson! Nice video.
Glad you enjoyed and good memory! Yes, it may have even been one of the same deer...so many in that area! Ma Miller’s was extremely tempting!!! Next time for sure! Finlayson was quite fun, but the trestle was exciting...no guard rails. The last time Gordon was there (30 + years) , the trestle was still active. Thanks again for the comments!
That’s a legit class three hike. Maybe even class four at certain points. Nice.

Ahh, so beautiful around Victoria! I will be camping in Goldstream Provincial,Park at the end of July with my grown kids for a big family reunion.

@@hikenrv it is easier to get to but not as pretty a spot as Ross Lake

Loved going to Goldstream during salmon spawning. Very nice overview of Victoria and surrounding areas. Thx.
