In this final part of the review we take the radio outdoors and with the help of my two sons, Ross (11) and Ryan (9) who are avid RUclipsrs when it comes to gaming videos we test out the radio from approximately half a mile apart as we couldn't find much activity on the 446 band on Sunday afternoon!
The radio on test here was supplied by a company called NextBigThink on eBay which seems to be the only way to pick this one up at the moment.

Hi Paul, thanks for the nice chat this evening. Will listen out again for you over the next few evenings. This review of the GT-5TP takes me back a few years now! Was a good little radio but couldn't get used to the dual PTT button which is quite odd to use and you can easily transmit on the wrong band if not careful 😀The audio was good on this radio with the larger speaker inside. I no longer have the radio as I sold it on eBay a while back. Have more new stuff to put on RUclips soon. 73's Simon
Good reviews. I have numerous Baofeng radios, two GT-5s , it doesn't seem as if the TP version would be much better the the standard version. Still they are great radios, much like the UV82.

Hello, I bought loads of GT-3TP before on Amazon. I liked the radios, as well as working very well, I thought they looked nice. Now I need to buy a new radio and im decided between the GT-3TP and the GT-5TP. I cant find any differences in the specs other than battery size, but your video review makes it look like they have a better speaker. Baofeng's own description on amazon makes it look like the GT5 is worse than the GT3 transmission range. So thank you for the review

This looks a very intresting radio like the ptt feature I think we're all guilty off sometimes not reading instructions me guilty as charged haha another great video as always from you enjoyed it immensely regards micky Newcastle. ....

How to change from channel mode to frequency mode in this GT 5TP? Thank you.
WTC Pare Channel turn the radio off. Hold down the menu button and turn the power on again. Repeat the procedure to go back to channel mode.
