Yeah I really like them. Had some great audio reports with the stock microphone and they seem very stable with very little frequency drift compared to some other modern radios. Looking forward to see what President release next on the SSB side of things.
@@Transmission1 yes they work very well, I have also had good audio reports too, many stations I've spoken to in Europe have said it sounds like a high end HF set, I have also tried using other base mics on it like the expander 500 and a Sadelta echo master plus classic but the reports coming back said the stock mic is the best.. great radio for sure.
I have bought a President Lincoln2+ off of Amazon for 249.90 euros spend 10 euro's for a resistant soldering and now i have a 480 channel 10m - 11m -12m cb transceiver and it rocks!
Installing mine today w/o the mod for now. Got a RigExpert aa650 zoom arriving tomorrow and a collection of antennas to test on my van install. Also have a McKinley II FCC and ordered a President Grant FCC. I use them for work as a Pilot Vehicle Operator and Steerman for wind turbine blades. Now I’ll be able to know what works and get mine and my coworkers radios all dialed in. A CB shop mounted an antenna for a friend and her radio died. We found it had an SWR of 4.0. Sick of getting overcharged for BS!
Any idea why the 2+ would have zero output power. Replaced the 3 outputs, and q55. Did a factory reset, but still no output power. Keys up, but zero power out. Wondering if theres a software setting stopping it?
Hey..thanks for the vid, so my luncoln 2(not plus) every time i shut it off, when i power it up i wont remember the last channel it was on and boots to 10 meter. Any idea why this would happen?
Im thinking of getting one of these radios, BUT! my question is this. ch 01 that you show in this clip shows 26.965... Upon googling this that's the EU/CEPT Channels. For the UK channel for 01 should be 27.60125. 🤷♀ should it not? Also does the channel indicator show true 1 to 40 channels like when on 19 its on UK 19 & not up or down channels.? many thanks for any advice.. *NEWBIE* used to have the older president back in the 80's LOL long time since then....

If you can't see the CBPWD option on the menu it probably means the modification isn't present in your radio or the resistor isn't making contact properly on the PCB board.
@@Transmission1 I have not added the resistor and have done an All reset. So I dont have the CBPWD option. How do I get the CB channels back in this situation?

UK 40 27.601 so can you put the UK 40 Channels like that after the modification
