No matter what they say, the environment and people will suffer, it takes manufacturing to make batteries, then it takes disposal vehicles to collect and get rid of the used batteries, when the batteries deteriorate back to the main elements that where used to make the batteries, it contaminates the soil. Next with as many cars as the people are using get replaced by electric vehicles, what standards are going to be met to support the electric vehicles, (batteries don't stay good forever), Will our electric grid be able to support them, or are you going to put solar cells on every house in the US for support of the electric vehicles. Next thing we have to look at what about hydrogen cars? Sorry but we are not ready for such a HUGE change at this time, we need more science and less politics.

Democrats have to also worry about what the electric car will do to the working poor. Or those on public assistance. Many people can only buy used cars. What will people do when used cars are electric and they need new batteries to function, and those batteries cost more than the car? Some battery packs are well over $10,000. What do you do if you have an electric car and want to sell it, but its worth $20,000 and needs a $15,000 battery? Unload a car you just paid off for $5,000 and start making payments on a new car?
What if you don't park in a private drive or garage, where would you charge your car? Will you risk having expensive charging equipment stolen if you park on the street? Many Charging Cables cost $300, will that get stolen for its copper content in your neighborhood? Is it legal to run cords across the sidewalk in your area? Electrification will leave many people without any transportation other than public transport. Maybe that is that the plan?

"Applying the funds provided by congress" for providing charging stations. First of all, the money Congress spends is the taxpayers money. So my money is going towards providing charging stations for the masses across the country? Did I also pay for the gas pumps and the maintenance at gas stations? And how will states recoup the lost tax revenues from the gasoline/diesel fuel tax built in to every gallon of fuel? When we go 67% EV, the demand for gas/fuel will decrease correspondingly. Will EV charging then be taxed to make up for the lost fuel tax revenue?

The government won, so do they just keep that money? If so why do they then need tax payers money to run their busines? It sure didn't go to all the children affected or their parents. These government entities are suing huge companies and getting huge wins. Double dipping in the money pond!!
