I’m pretty new to hunting and I’ve done most of my hunting in HGSS so I’ve been loving this badge quest because a couple of these hunts I haven’t even considered doing and now am planning to do myself

I'd recommend downloading the Encounter Calculator and looking through all the routes in HGSS and you'll be surprised of what you can hunt. This whole badge quest for me was a bit of a challenge. I have found 129 shinies in HGSS alone so sitting down and researching what I could hunt next is probably the second most fun thing aside from getting the shiny itself.
