True Story, my best man in my wedding and business partner, ran a record label in Columbus, OH. He would put out compilation records putting local artists on the album and then spend money for a songs from well known artists but were not as huge as they once were. Ready for the World came over to his house one day discussing about putting a song on the album, but they never eneded up putting it on there. We got a song from the group called Troop. Some of the local artists would eventually get their songs picked up for soundtrack movies including Blade with Wesley Snipes,(my friend has a Gold album from that) Bulworth with Warren Beatty and Halle Berry (he has a platinum album for that) He also produced the soundtrack for Fakin the funk with Morris Chestnut and Tatiana Ali. Snoop had a song on that soundtrack and my friend is seen in Snoops video for the song playing basketball in Snoops backyard.

I still feel like one of those bands that were kind of underrated. Don't get me wrong this was a huge hit and that had their share of hits to check out. The woman were definitely feeling the lead singer Melvin Riley back then, heck even still today.
