I guess it depends where you lived because I remember that NOT being cut out on the radio stations we listened to. I was singing it with all my might 😂

People confuse Mtume with another duo, Juicy, who sang "Sugar Free." Juicy is a group, "Juicy Fruit" is a song by Mtume.

Ashley, you probably don't know that this song started a fashion trend of women wearing elastic shorts with the word JUICY written across the back. Fifteen years later, those same women were wearing the same stretched out shorts. However, you could see the J or the Y. Those letters were now on the side. The back read U I C.
