In one of the quests when trying to save yarikawa, a mongol patrol will pass. Wait until Jin says “let them pass” then shoot at them. After you got their attention yuns will ask “I though you said to let them past!” Then Jin will reply “I changed my mind.”

Interesting... I'm working on a video of my own about how choice inpacts the narrative in Tsushima and it seems there's more than there appeared. Thanks for sharing! Is there any changes with Norio's questline? I always felt like the ending to his story where he rejoins the monks after his raid on the camp felt rushed so that Norio could show up in the final battle whether you completed his questline or not. It'd be interesting if there was an alternate ending if Jin didn't need him to help with the final attack on the mongols.
I don't believe Norio had anything change if we did his storyline first before the mission where we fight the Khan. Will have to test it out for myself. Now that you mention it, it is a plothole, cause in the optional dialogue with Norio before heading out to battle, Jin refers to Norio as leader of Cedar Temple which is weird cause the monks likely didn't accept his rampage in that camp. I do still think it makes sense for him to show up in the final battle though. He can fight, and he's accompanied by normal warriors, not warrior monks
@@alfieomega Yeah, his re-acceptance by the monks strikes me as sort of weird. Let me know if you find anything interesting! Love your channel by the way. It is like a Tsushima version of Zullie the Witch : )

He'll probably either get demoted from Jitto to just another lord and get replaced by clan Oga, or he'll stay as Jitto but lose trust/favor from the Shogunate.
It still means something as the more "Ghost" option of the two, as it is a statement of Jin refusing to kill his last remaining family member with his own hands over some ridiculous code of honor that helps nobody.
What i dont understand, once there was a Mission with massakao where she told Jin that he got his revenge for his father, because of Shimura, he catched Kazumasas murderer and killed him, but the story on Iki island tells something different….
the DLC has spawned some theories 1) Tenzo was just a lackey, a low-level grunt who happened to deal the final blow. Shimura found the leader of the bandits that killed Kazumasa, and Tenzo got away. Since the leader who made the plan is killed, that's good enough since who knows who actually killed Kazumasa; the main enemy is dead 2) Shimura lied to save face. It would look bad that the samurai who led the invasion is dead, so Shimura claimed to kill Kazumasa's killer so that the people of Tsushima wouldn't lose faith in the samurai and claim justice was served 3) The most likely scenario is that the Iki story was made after the base game, and that line from Masako is just a developer oversight. they forgot to change that line it's fun to theorize, though!
This video is amazing! Ive been playin this game since release and theres still new things for me to learn about it, quick word of advice though, it would prob do you good to post a link containing a screenshot on where the yarikawan ambushers attack jin since people seem to love asking you that lmao, that aside great work! Aha! Everyone on reddit says that the dialogs you get from npcs atter sparing Shimura is always the same, that he died. Now i see it's not at all true. Thank you!
if you're talking about the haiku guy, what the Reddit people said was once true
during the original release of the game, no matter what ending, Jin speaks as if Shimura is dead
somewhere along the way, an update changed this and added the spare ending dialogue
unless you mean to say Reddit said ALL the NPCs spoke as if Shimura was dead regardless of the ending, which is silly
I’m definitely going to replay this game after my ezio trilogy rerun
Also there is a secret archery challenge in Iki if you wear Tadayori’s armour to the raiders memorial
I'm also intrigued on random dialogs between NPCs, they're sub-less so people will easily forget them
same, though a channel called "Life After Phasma" is uploading some peasant dialogues recently, worth checking out!
EDIT: Life After Phasma recently renamed her channel to Phasma of Tsushima
@@alfieomega thanks!
I wish they add a "did you kill your uncle or not" option, to finally make the difference
2:06 that hurt
If you put off Yunas side missions until Takas death, there's a dialogue difference in one of those too (sorry if you already had that up)
ooh, I'll check that
This is awesome
Wouldn’t Lord Shimura be executed by the Shogun if he failed to kill Jin?
it's unclear
some peasant dialogue suggests he continues to live without any trouble
but nothing's really certain
Shimura would have committed Seppuku.
The shogun would most likely force him to kill himself after the invasion passes
Where can I find those men who tried to trick Jin!?
it's in Old Yarikawa, not far from the place where you learn the Dance of Wrath
Ah yes, the man who stopped the invasion almost by himself.... LET'S MUG HIM!
Your thumbnail spoiled his death for me. Thanks.
(I don't actually mean any hate I'm just being petty. Don't take this seriously at all)
I love how they made these dialogue in each timeline of the game and I still don't get that what timeline of Iki Island event happened
it's ambiguous on purpose and has no set time, so the player can play Iki at any time
What i dont understand, once there was a Mission with massakao where she told Jin that he got his revenge for his father, because of Shimura, he catched Kazumasas murderer and killed him, but the story on Iki island tells something different….
the DLC has spawned some theories
1) Tenzo was just a lackey, a low-level grunt who happened to deal the final blow. Shimura found the leader of the bandits that killed Kazumasa, and Tenzo got away. Since the leader who made the plan is killed, that's good enough since who knows who actually killed Kazumasa; the main enemy is dead
2) Shimura lied to save face. It would look bad that the samurai who led the invasion is dead, so Shimura claimed to kill Kazumasa's killer so that the people of Tsushima wouldn't lose faith in the samurai and claim justice was served
3) The most likely scenario is that the Iki story was made after the base game, and that line from Masako is just a developer oversight. they forgot to change that line
it's fun to theorize, though!
This video is amazing! Ive been playin this game since release and theres still new things for me to learn about it, quick word of advice though, it would prob do you good to post a link containing a screenshot on where the yarikawan ambushers attack jin since people seem to love asking you that lmao, that aside great work! Making sure to subscribe
I wish Iki Island only unlocked after doing the main story and Jin was open about leaving the life of a Samurai behind
God the area of the map at 1:54 always looks like an old fulbright source map. They really need to fix that. I guess it’s too late since they aren’t really patching the game anymore.
The saru armour is my favourite but I still wore the sakai armour cause of the additional lore and drip
I think lord shimura was skilled in the art of combat.... And poetry
I also noticed the change of dialog after doing certain things in this game! 😆
I stumbled upon the poetry guy by pure accident since the Traveler’s Armor doesn’t lead you to him…
also if you wear tadayori's armour to a spesific archery challenge they will comment on it
Jin Sakai should be a really well known legend in Ghost of Yōtei
I would like that as well
Man do I wish this was implemented into more games. I just wish the main game would have gotten more content…
If you go to iki island in act 2 Jin still says khotan khan is dead
