Ive been depressed, angry, and out of shape for 30 years. I started smoking weed and going on hikes during COVID. Hikes turned into runs, runs turned into calisthenics , then sprints. I’m not exactly trying to advocate any substance, but for me smoking weed and working out changed my life. Literally changed everything. It also made me not take myself seriously which made me lose my fear of rejection and I started approaching girls and getting numbers and meeting new friends. I take two hits from my vap pen in the morning and two at night before sleep. Ive tried all kinds of bs ADHD , depression, and anxiety meds none of which worked and gave me major headaches.

If you smoke weed at home on the couch surfing the internet then yeah you’re not going to get anything done. I smoke weed as soon as I get to the trails or at the gym and I smoke it with myself or with my gym buddies who like to work out too. My cardio was bad too when I started but I’d get high and just tell myself well might as well do what I can daily and I knew there would see some hot girls in yoga pants to help motivate me to keep hiking better than going home. There’s a book called Runners High I recommend they go over the amazing science of how smoking weed has benefits when it comes to working out and having more energy.

I used to be a hella tomboy and get into all kinds of shit, skipping school high as fuck, exploring an abandoned hospital, driving around just having fun. If not those things I'd play video games at home on the PC. I miss goofing off, but my daughter is my responsibility and as a mother I need to be there for her, especially since her dad dipped out asap. I was high in the gym with a friend who was also high and we both did 3 sets of biceps curls each, with one 10kg and one 8kg dumbell the whole time and we didn't notice it until a guy asked us if we needed that 10kg dumbell

In my old workplace everyone was getting stoned at their work stations and lighting Doobies in the bathroom as well as other substances. Which is funny cuz it ain't legal. Tryna operate a magnet crane while too stoned is constantly placing your metal parts over and over as the other high dude next to you is drilling holes in the wrong places and the drunk dude across from you is dropping expensive equipment.
I used to go in to the gym alone, usuallly around 1pm or 8am. But then i started going with my cousin and his buddy and we became gym bro trio. The workouts were never this much fun and 2h workout feels like 15mins.

I go high to my judo trainings sometimes lol. I was so zooted ones i couldn't do my techniques righ, but the rest of the time i was messing around with black belts and they were quite shocked .
My friend and I started this habit not too long ago. The first time going in blitzed with the help of bang energy drink had me going nuts. I sprinted on the treadmill till my legs were jelly, then rushed to see what ways I can blow my arms out.
Remember the time I had already finished my workout and decided to smoke a few minutes after. I kept the high going for a few hours and it’s like after 3-4hrs of watching videos passed the weed awoke something within me and I felt the determination and perseverance of a damn anime character and went back to my dumbbells to do “just a few reps” but ended up finishing a whole 2nd workout.
Absolutely true, while high enough your contraction is completely different BUT As a 14 y wsmoker i can tell you that the recovery is way slower, your body is concerned about cleaning the wed so he is not really focusing in repairing the broken fibers. You will need to eat food with way more quality than if you don't smoke, so is going to be more expensive diet As far as you are concerned and take some shakes and eat seriously you will be fine. I recommend to not smoke if it wasn't part of your "diet" before, i been swimming all my life and playing rugby and things like that while smoking so im not sure how far that can affect. I used to live about 500ft from my gym. I would partake right before I would set off for a workout, grab my skateboard and tunes, and enjoy the short ride there. Once inside, I would proceed to absolutely destroy my legs for an hour, if not longer, as time is relative when you're above the clouds. I usually only did this on leg days as the blood flow in my swollen legs somehow enhanced the experience. Once finished, I would grab my board and do an extended ride back home for some cardio. This ride home was the most transcendental part. The music blasting in my ears as the wind rushed past me, working with my sweat to cool me faster than any A/C could. The sensation in my legs gone comfortably numb before I even left the gym, riding past the familiar neighborhood on two sticks of jelly; it was the most surreal feeling. Going to bed on those days felt earned. Then I would wake up, bust out the wheelchair, and start my day!
if you go to a powerlifting gym and do this it’s not a good experience from personal experience. they take it so seriously that if you go in and are a stoner or are so high that you’re being annoying/zoning out on equipment for too long they will be PISSED. i have still never gone back to that gym

I've been getting high before the gym every morning for well over a year now. I dont get super high I just get on a good level. Put on my headphones and it allows me to just focus on the task at hand and ignore all the other things going on
