I have a 2011 Ford Taurus Limited and it has treated me very well. I had zero plans to buy one when at the dealership but got given the wrong keys to test drive but I thought, why not. I've never bought a car purely because of a test drive but I am telling you that if you are thinking of a Taurus, take one for a drive -wonderfully quiet, buttery smooth but handles very well for a full size sedan. I can't seem to lose control on the snow with this car with it's traction control (it is AWD). The trunk is enormous and I think it looks super fine. Reliable thus far (100k of ownership -bought with 20k in 2012).
I have a 2019 that rolled off the line about 2 weeks before they shut it down! Took some time to get used to the girth, but very happy with it and will probably have it for a long time. I was also amazed that it does 26mpg on the highway! Same MPG that my V6 Milan does and it's a 1000lbs heavier.
He was also worried bout the fuel and fuel efficiency that it would take for the Taurus, right now, he usually uses super unleaded fuel for his current Ford Fusion.
I’m trying to talk my dad getting a 2018 or 19 Ford Taurus sel sport or limited for next year in 2023, however, he told me there too big in overall size and are super expensive, what’s your opinion on the Taurus, quite frankly, I feel like it has more power for him compared to his current 2013 Ford Fusion titanium, but was just curious what you think.
I own both a 2015 SEL AWD and a 2010 SHO and both are great for different reasons. The SHO has 253,000 while the SEL has 110,000 and both have yet to let me down. Very smooth, extremely comfortable and very powerful for large family sedans. The SHO being performance aimed is more expensive of course and takes more to maintain but either you if you get one you will not regret it.
you should get one! very nice to drive i drive my aunts there super easy to drive and very nice and for short people you can see out of the car very well!

#fordshouldbringbacktaurus there are sedan buyers in North America. It ain’t that hard to bring over Chinese Taurus to North America.
