I didn't know you were in the Air Force. From a militay veteren to another, thank you for your service! I like the Taurus myself especially the SHO. It's a shame that they are about to be discontinued.
Thank you for your service as well and yes it is a shame I really love the SHO even been thinking about getting one you can beat the performance if you mod it and Awd can’t go wrong.
To Ford & General Motors you are building SUV & Pickups that's are bigger vehicles so what happened to building larger sedans people wants bigger or larger.
@Martin Dennis I'm glad you're enjoying your SHO. Something is telling me they'll be back on the market in a few years because in a matter of time the "small" SUVs will have recalls popping up leading to demands to bring Taurus and other obsolete cars back
I have a black 2010 SEL. I was initially hesitant to buy a Ford. But I read reviews online before I bought mine, and not one negative review. So I moved forward with my purchase almost two years ago and it is a dream car. This car is so underrated. Huge spacious car with a super comfortable ride. Great on gas. Sporty look. And most important, extremely reliable. I will keep this car for years to come, especially now that they’re no longer in production.
I agree with you, should’ve kept all the ford sedan cars big time since 2019, I’m trying to convince my dad to get a 2018 or 19 Ford Taurus SEL car next year in 2023, he has a 2013 Ford Fusion that’s fully loaded.
Wow its almost exactly like my 2019 Camry SE, which isnt a bad thing, same size, same size engine and HP, I like it, if i knew Ford Taurus was like this, i may have bought this instead. Very nice (from Camry owner) I had a Taurus in the 90s loved it.
My mom haves a 2004 SE, I was the one to pick it out and holy crap, me and my mom loves the Taurus. Its a powerful, fast car. It's sad they discontinue it and people are still making videos of new Taurus which looks like a Fusion. I'm a fan of the Taurus, very beautiful nice looking vehicle. R.I.P Ford Taurus, 1986-2019 Discontinued but never forgotten and it'll still be sold to many people. I love ford. Can't wait to drive it again!! Low miles and very very nice just for a 2004.
Best Non-Sports car Ford has ever made... ride quality is pretty much perfect... I have a 2019 Ford Fusion and a 2019 Ford Taurus... the Taurus destroys the Fusion in pretty much every single quality area. The only thing I give the Fusion over the Taurus is the Transmission... but it’s not a huge difference.
I finally got to test drive one of these Tauruses. Definitely a big heavy car but smoother and more comfortable than some might expect. Like you told me in one of the comments below here, there is less visibility through the rear window compared to other sedans, but as long as you know how to drive it's no big deal and nowhere near as bad as I had thought it would be. The trunk is HUGE. I knew it was big from seeing videos and pictures but man they don't do it justice. I really hope to be able to get a 2018 or 2019 model before they are gone, even if only the SE. These things seem to be built like tanks and I'd rather have one of these than a truck or an SUV that Ford would prefer we drive around. Thanks again for your review!
No problem that’s good I was able to help you and hopefully you are able to get one the Taurus SHO is another model you should look at if you want the speed that thing moves.
It sounds like you have a good amount of experience driving these. Do you think that visibility looking back toward the rear windshield is adequate? I've heard some people complain that because of the design of the trunk, the size and practical visibility offered by the rear windshield is not that great....I'm thinking it can't be that bad, but I really don't know. What do you think about this? Thanks
In any larger vehicle like this one where the pillars are massive yes that is a downside the visibility but you also have a rear reverse camera when I drove these as a patrol car I didn’t have all the bells and whistles so I had to rely on just know how to drive. The visibility isn’t as bad as you think the vehicle does kind of slope down towards the front meaning the rear is in the air more but as I said if you know what you are doing driving wise you’ll be fine and again you have the back up camera use it to your advantage.
@@JecuskyGarrett are you sure? Becuase I know the Taurus is infamous for that problem but never heard anything about that with the impala, I just think that the impala looks way nicer that the cramped Taurus, and I'm not a chevy fan lol I drive a crown vic and I think the impala will be a better replacement for it when the time comes

The Focus and Fiesta in addition to the Mustang are still being sold in Europe, Asia, & Australia-NZ. I don’t know if they’re still being sold in Central/Latin America, & Africa. FYI, the Taurus is still being sold in China.
Yes absolutely it’s a bigger car which is a plus because once you learn to drive a bigger car you feel more confident and comfortable driving whenever you get into another vehicle such as an suv or truck
I have a Ford Taurus it’s not technically my first car, I bought an 07 ES350 as my first, got into an accident with it 2 weeks later then bought a 2013 Ford Taurus Limited. GREAT vehicle. It has over 140,000 miles on it now haven’t had anything serious problems.
Bro....my girl took me to the Porsche Experience Center in the ATL...I drove the 718 Cayman....man, you gotta review one of those porsche....they are great driving vehicles.
Just went up to Porsche I’m trying to line something up but this weather is crazy here it’s been a snow storm for the past week and all this week suppose to be like -15 below 0.
I think that 3.5L is the naturally aspirated version, not the ecoboost. the 3.5L ecoboost only comes on the SHO I think. good video, and I agree that it's kinda sad ford will not be making cars anymore. I think US manufacturers kinda gave up on competing with the japanese for passenger cars.
Yeah I totally forgot about this being the regular 3.5L and yeah I don’t too much care for foreign cars just because they are usually tiny cars I love the big cars like this one and I hate their suspension too stiff at times.
@@A1Reviews I'm with you. I miss the old crown vics. RWD and a V8? yes please.
Definitely I think the reason why sedans aren’t selling as well is because the pricing for the same price of this car I believe this one was $35k there are lots of suvs that you could buy instead of this if they fixed the pricing issues all car makers they would see more sales of cars vs suvs.
@@A1Reviews I think another reason for the decline is that we've allowed commercials to convince us that we're all avid outdoorsman who spend every weekend at home depot. so we need advanced AWD/4wd and 70 square feet of cargo room.
