  • what is Shiva Linga | Shiva lingam story | Shiva Lingam
You may have seen this structure in many forms, sizes & made from different materials.
Some revere it as a Symbol of the Universe, while some regard it as a male sex organ, denoting Lord Shiva.
The Shiva Linga is a symbol of Lord Shiva: a mark that reminds of the Omnipotent Lord, which is formless. It represents the whole universe that comes from Shiva, stays in him, and goes back into him. Shiva has no start and no end, no form, no birth, and no death. His presence is the entire universe.
The other belief is that the Shiva Linga is a symbol of fertility, it symbolizes the union of mind and soul. It also physically symbolizes the male and female reproductive organs in a state of bliss.

Thank you for explaining the shivalinga. I have dreamed about it and wanted to know more. I have learned the story how Shiva appeared in a pillar of fire. He was not born but came into our existence. Kaishal and Kaishi amaze me. Thank you again explaining the science of the beautiful culture of India.

The story of bhrigu is added in later portion which is interpolation and hence not authentic. Lingam represents three aspects ' without form ,with form and formless form of God. It also portray the principal behind the creation which leds to singularity. The one God. सत्यम शिवम् सुंदरम।।

There is a hugh push to change the traditional thinking about various idols, tie it to science and make it relevant. Everyone with little or no knowledge is simply repeating talking points.
Traditionally and historically, unmarried women have worshipped the ling with the specific intention of getting a suitable husband. This itself is a clear indication that the idol represents a sexual symbol.

Mam perhaps you might wanna correlate the energy with the Chakra. When women are asked not to enter any mokhsya centres, jyotirlinga it is essentially to stop the energy to activate the mooladhara & swadisthana Chakra which could affect the cycle either way.

You religious people say worship this god that god n your wish will get fulfilled . Nothing happens. Out of 100 1 person wish gets fulfilled by chance and that’s the success rate you give. This generation is more inclined to reasonable reasoning n not blind faith

Pratik. It is your freedom to live as you like .You are not intellectual than Vyasa, Valkmiki, Sankara or Agastya. Believers have experienced GOD IN MANY WAYS .You have to believe what you want and leave others to their freedom, because they leave you to believe in your fantasies or truths.

Hinduism never forces people to worship Hindu Gods ... Hinduism is not religion but a lifestyle which is definitely not enforced on people ... If u do not wish to follow then its ur will ... Hinduism respects every opinion and never rejects other belief ... If u don't believe in Hinduism then we respect ur decision to walk out because after all it is about belief and faith leading to divine experiences
