Hey guys, Wacom released a new tablet and I thought there's a lot here you might want to learn about. Here's my full review. (Also I lied my 27QHD Cintiq has 2048 levels of pressure, just goes to show it doesn't mean much past a certain number)

What do you think of the tablet? Yes? No?
Yes
Yes.
Yes, I definitely want one since I can't afford a single Cintiq model.
yesss
Yeah, really like the fact that I can draw on my phone.
imagine owning so many good tablets that you throw a 400 dollars one on the floor just to check...
I'm so glad that they are finally dropping their prices! I really want a screen tablet from Wacom, it must feel incredibly nice.
Love your art Marc!
I am a casual artist, only draw as a hobby here and there. I have always dreamed and drooled over the thought of owning the cintiq 27. started off on a surface pro then went to intuos pro for a while. I found out about this wacom a few days ago, been using it all day. I love this, i missed drawing directly on a screen.
"I'll probably be carrying this one around my travels this year" * cries in covid *
I was going to get this tablet just for travels. It's been in my amazon wish list since Dec 2019 lol.
Im so sorry for you i feel it so badly :,)
@@MicahBuzanANIMATION Oh my goood DX those poor Souls :,)
Been researching drawing tablets for about a day now, and weirdly enough, even though this wasn’t a “guide” per se, but rather a review (at least in my understanding), it was a lot more informative, yet much more direct, than all the other videos and articles I’ve looked at. [ giveaway entry ] Thanks for the opportunity :)
I've always been an artist in my spare time, but lost my way as I became an adult. However, I've slowly been gettingback to it, and then i found your RUclips channel while looking for reviews on graphics tablets. I watched several other channels, but they didn't work for me. You seem very genuine with your reviews, and I appreciate all the content you've posted. You've inspired me to get back at it!!
Very excited to see them finally come out with something more entry level on the "cheaper" side of things. It felt way out of my reach for a long time and seems way over due that they release it. Very exciting overall.
I'd love to bring my art to the next level on my computer, and I've found that it's easier for me to draw on a display tablet than the surface ones. Thank you for the chance and for the helpful content (and wonderful art) you produce!
I've been looking into this since I really wanted to have a portable pen display tablet that I could use at cafes and such!
Thank you for the opportunity!
I am searching like crazy and probably watched all the wacom one videos but this is the best review video ever. Thank you for the quality and amount of detail and genuineness.
Looks fun, I'm used to bringing my sketchbooks/pens and pencils whenever I want to do studies for life drawings and such, and confine myself to my desktop and cintiq for anything digital. I can see the appeal in being able to draw and sculpt on the go, please count me in!
Well no... you need power supply.
I've been using my dad's work Wacom Intuos for about a year and I'm just starting trying to get really good at digital painting and I've been looking for a good tablet to use. This one seems like a perfect tablet! Anyway loved the review! Good luck to all!
Great review! I keep using my 5 years old intous pro as my main tool. But I had to say I love that Wacom is finally making an affordable option to get a CintiQ ✌️
I've wanted a tool like this for a while... I've struggled a bit with tablets where I couldn't draw directly on the screen so I think this could do wonders for my digital art!
The rgb explanation was really usefull actually, ai always wanted one of this to test the collors between the tablet and my monitor.
Hey Marc! Great video as always. Just wanted to let you know I’ve learned an incredible amount since subscribing and you’re a great inspiration. My art still sucks but I’ve never thought of even quitting.
Thanks for the quality videos :) Cheers!
This is awesome! It’s great to see them branching out, and thanks for hosting the giveaway. ^^
Thanks for the review Marc, long time DeviantArt watcher here, love your work. I'm coming off an old Intuos tablet and was actually looking to get something with a screen soon. Based on your review Wacom One looks like a solid contender and something I'd definitely consider, so winning one would be just amazing, count me in. All the best and keep doing what you do!
Great review!
Been using the same Wacom intuos for 5 years now. I'm a recent graduate from a local art university so it would be amazing to have a screen tablet as I'm pursuing a 2D artist role in the industry.
Damn! Didn't think you'd actually drop it. Bold move :D Good to know that it's sturdy. That's the quality I expect from Wacom anyway. Thanks for this review
This is a very nice review! I love the explanation, its pretty detailed compared to the other ones i've seen so far.
Thanks for the video, Marc. Was considering the Cintiq 16, but I like the portability of this one.
I would love to draw and also be in the outdoors. This sounds like a perfect match. I'm really interested to see it work on a phone, maybe you can do a video on that! Great review as always, keep it up
💜
Hopefully Wacom continues making more entry level on screen tablets.
It’s definitely easy to see that they’ve been feeling the heat from many cheaper alternatives, as they’re no longer alone in the industry
Hi Marc, Great review! Thank you for sharing your experience with it!
I could definitely find good use for this as an art student. :)
I've been considering upgrading my old intuos5 medium and this could be it!
Thanks for doing the review. I am looking to upgrade from my bamboo drawing tablet to a drawing screen .
I appreciate you giving feedback on the large pen sensitivity numbers, as a noobie i definitely thought it might be useful, so good to know that IRL it has very little impact above 2000ish pressure points.
I would love one of these! As I’m starting art school in Colorado (RMCAD) in March and having a Wacom drawing tablet would help! In my illustration classes! Here’s to hoping! Anyways Great video Marc and keep it up!
I'm a traditional artist that just started digital art/illustration some 3 weeks ago, it would be a nice professional starter item.
I dunno why but when you were drawing those test lines it felt super satisfying to watch
I was curious about this version of the Cintiq when it was announced and your review confirms a lot of what i suspected would be given up with the price drop. I do love the portability of it and, being an owner of an Android phone, I'm curious to see what that experience is like. Thanks for the info and I hope I win! :P
This looks awesome 👀 It'd be suuuch a nice upgrade from an old Bamboo Create! I've never had a display tablet so I've always wondered that'd affect workflow.
This actually seems really nice to draw with, i would propably not use it for zbrush because im used to 27” monitors, but i feel like this is perfect for when you are using photoshop :O
I just started starting digital art and I think using this will become an upgrade and make me go even further, thank you!
This review was immensely helpful. Would love to try one of these out and transition from an intuos to a cintiq. Thanks for the review and the opportunity!
As usual great content. Looks like Wacom is finally offering a compelling budget cintiq device for on the go.
Wow the Wacom One seems like an awesome upgrade from my pen tablet. Definitely going to come in handy when I get Art School. I'm excited to see the winners, good luck to everybody and I hope the winners enjoy their prize!🙌🏾
Love the video, Thanks for the review. I have been using my Intuos tablet for years and the pad is coming up when it sticks to my hand. I have been looking at these tablets for forever! An upgrade would be fantastic!
That will be an enourmous upgrade for a friend! Keep it up man, thanks for in-depth review!
I've never though that I'll see an affordable tablet by wacom, but I'm glad to have this alternative since I'm not fan of ipads
I'd love one. I'd like to upgrade from my sister's hand-me-down Cintiq 12W with skewed colors o/ gotta fix my basics
Thanks for the video! Since I'm moving to a smaller place this might just be right down my alley
I've been looking at a screen tablet recently and didn't even know these were a thing yet. Don't really have that much space on my desk and being portable means I can just drag it over with me when visiting friends. Maybe going to get myself one for my birthday. Thanks for the review!
Thank you for dropping, no one wants to do a durability test anymore. Would be nice to know the kids wouldn't wreck so easily.
I always looked at such display-tablets with admiration, since here, in Russia, such toy is the ultimate dream, especially with the current rate of the local currency :) In any case, I respect Mark’s work, some of his videos made me re-recognize my approaches to drawing and even drawing on the old intuos 4, I can now compare my condition before and after, and these will be two big differences. There is no way i can win this, but i rarely leave a comments and this is seems like good moment to say just thanks for your attempts! :) Good luck!
Really cool that they released a cheaper screen tablet. I'm currently using my 2DS and Disney Art Academy to draw digitally, would be awesome to start using a tablet on my laptop! Good luck everyone and thank you for the review!
(Also if I won I would totally use the tablet you sacrificed to show sturdiness lol)
Thank you for your review. Considering the present state of things, it's hard to go out and be hands-on with a new tablet replacement. I was wondering where you purchased your Circular desktop light, and how it's mounted? Love your channel and all the help it provides.
That's a great opportunity to get into digital art! Good luck everyone!
Ohhhh yes it would be so nice to work on this!
First of all thanks for your review ;D I think it clarified a lot of the questions that I had. I guess I want this Wacom One to give my first step toward become a professional artist and achieve my goals!
Thank you for sharing Marc! Your tutorials are so useful!
I've been trying to get a tablet with on-screen for almost a year and something always seems to happen financially that sidetracks that so I'd love a shot at getting one of those! Portability makes it even better because I travel around for work a lot and that's such a plus.
Perfect for changing my faithful Intuos after spilling coffee over it for the past 8 years!
Great content sir. It was really well-thought-out and in-depth analysis. as with a contest I could personally use a new tablet cuz I'm still rocking the cintiq 12wx, and it's slowly breaking apart on me
love your honest review!
Always been a dream to own a tablet like this - cant afford it though.
Would love to use it for drawing and graphic design.
I have waited for a budget wacom display tablet for so long! Even thoughI love my good old intous, I still feel somehow disconnected from my artwork when I work digitally.... and I draw on that tablet for almost 8 years now. 😆 Well, at least it gives me a reason to always carry my sketchbook around instead of sitting at the computer ... still would love to win one of those.. 😉
I think its most attractive aspect is its portability! Plus Wacom products tend to last.
Good review. I'm glad Wacom is making a budget Cintiq. I hope it does well so Wacom can continue developing this line into the future.
I've had my current tablet for around 8 years now, haha! Simply have never had the money to replace or upgrade so winning this would be incredible!
Best of luck, fellow artists! ❤️
5:40 'Nice clean look' - and then drop the whole thing smacking on the floor. That's why you got extras
Even though it's being introduced as an "entry level" tablet, it'd be reallyy nice to get for someone like me who's drawing with a wacom bamboo for like 4 years now.
I never really know where the line between a professional artist and.. other artists is? But it's really nice to see all the reviews coming for this product. I'd appreciate a "review after X years" video in the far future, or for the other tablets you use.
Also thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
It's neat to hear that Wacom is making things more accessible for artist with this new product. I think it is really cool that you are doing this giveaway and helping out other artists out there. I hope I get a chance to win because I have always wanted to try out these kinds of tablets. Getting one would mean I would have a reason to experiment on more digital stuff as well. It was also nice to hear your opinions on the specs of this tablet as well as the information about stuff like the pressure levels. Keep up the great work!
This sounds great!
I think this is a good idea for peeps looking to invest into wacom for the first time xD
I think the main reason I'd be keen on this is the portability. Wacom tech + drivers in a portable size is gold for art nomads. Thanks for the great review!
Been subscribed for years! really like the channel, thanks for all the knowleadge marc! :D
I‘d love to win one of those since I’ve never been able to afford a display pen. And I think it would help me in my journey in digital art.
Also Thx for the review it covered everything that‘s important 😊
You can get a Huion Kamvas Pro for half of that price and it will be a better display. This Wacom One is still a bad deal.
@@deuswulf6193 There is no comparison with a Huion. The screen, resolution and colours can be similar.
But if you´re going to work with a tablet, there is no comparison. Maybe if you work editing some photography can use another option instead of a Wacom, but if you´re going to work as an illustrator or even as comic artist the Wacom it´s pretty much the only option.
The Huion, XP and even the Apple are much more delicate, the wacom it´s made for work several years with any problem.
I don’t have friends here on RUclips (didn’t know it was an actual thing ) lol, so just tagging these two lads that were in the comments below @MaxKhunglo @killbiroarts
cart3r0 I’m sure no one does 🙃 .
We learned something new 😄.
read the top of the description
friends? what are those
WoW! Came across this at the right time. I happen to be shopping around for a new Wacom. Also, thank you for actually giving it a toss on the floor. That's a big selling point for me.
Love your reviews of graphic tablets :) You have a lot of useful advices. Im Using intous pro, once Im tried a display tablet and it was a totally different experience
19:08 - My anxiety with the way he's holding it LOL
me, looking at my good old wacom pen and touch small i've had for 7 years: yeah ok maybe an upgrade would be nice
(comment as entry for the giveaway)
@@XaelisArt if by holder you mean a blue ribbon, then yes lol and I have to say, it still works fine, it just doesn't suit my needs anymore
Literally I had a Intous pen and touch small for 7 years too (since 2014) and upgrade to this 😂
Same. I've had the Wacom Intuos Pen and Touch for 7 years and I'm looking for an upgrade, especially because I'm studying a degree in design, so I'm really looking for a good screen tablet that lasts me for a long time. Idk if Wacom One is a good choice since it's marketed more towards beginners, but it's the most affordable. (;^;)
Tho at the same time I feel guilty because I don't buy any new devices until the old one breaks.
Awesome, very good information in the vid :) Been wanting a new tablet from Wacom for a while, will have to check this one out!
Thank you very much for this opportunity. I'm currently using a Blue Bamboo Fun from around 2007, and it's very much on it's last legs. It would be life changing to be able to receive one of these.
Well, holy molly this looks so neat! Can't wait to put my hands on it and draw the heck out of it :D (winning giveaway would help with that :D) Cheers!
I've been using my Intuos for about 8 years now so I'm pretty attached to having my buttons and dial. My main issue with considering getting a display tablet is the physical strain of bending over or having a weird drawing angle. I feel like in the long run, a nondisplay tablet would be less taxing on the spine since you can look straight forward at your monitor and draw while sitting or standing upright. But that don't mean I still don't look at display tablets I may or may not buy lol
I mean... you can adjust the drawing angle. Same as drawing on physical media. Which it weirdly sounds like you've never done (not saying you didn't).
@@paulunga Yes but you're either looking down and straining your neck during long sessions or at a weird wrist/arm angle if its set up pretty upright. With traditional painting it isn't much of an issue since you'd usually hold the brush more loosely than a pencil, but with a tablet pen, it'd be pretty awkward drawing with it like a paintbrush
@@Temajuki I used a screen tablet for a few years. There are various stands you can purchase for desktop use that provide optimal positions. I do understand, however, that the experiences and preferences can vary between Pad and Screen. For example, when I used the screen tablet for the first time, it felt like my arms were gonna tire out from holding it in the air due to being used to resting on the Pad Tablet. But somehow I got used to it and kept drawing without fatiguing myself each day.
Some people may argue that it is best for artists to get used to the position of painting on an easel.
I've been working on my bamboo for years now and would love to get an upgrade like this one. Especially since I do travel a lot so it's perfect because I could never really draw on the go before (at least not digitally).
Appreciate the vids - been looking into a const effective tablet
Finally an entry level cintiq, though the price is a bit too steep. I'd give it to my good artist friend
I am a 3D student finishing university, would be the the perfect gift
I do love the quality of Wacom products and am happy to see them jumping over to the entry-level friendly market with this tablet!
I myself, have been looking for a tablet to use on the go for some time and this sounds like it could be the perfect fit.
I’m
I’m going goo
Thanks for the review! I would love to have one of these!
I'm the ONE without Wacom 😭
not sure of I would recommend wacom tablets any more
😁be happy with what u can afford.. try to improve your art ..through practice......no expensive tablet required
Clever but damn you got the whole squad laughing 😐
@@civilroyals6954 drawing tablet with screens makes life easier though
I'm already subscribed, leaving a like here is easy. Especially if i can get a free tablet for my girlfriend. She working as an animator, and sometimes she brings home the works for the weekend. Also a screen tablet may entice her to just draw more for fun. She doesn't do it ofter but she should.
Thank you Marc for this chance!
See you next time in Art War!
My drawing tablet is like 8 years old and falling apart, so I stopped putting in effort to practice. I'm seriously thinking of getting one of these and trying to get back into it now that its cheaper!
Looks like an awesome tablet to have and a good upgrade for me, also good review, thank you!
I still own a 'Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch' from 2009 IIRC, but I always preferred directly touching the drawing, like pencil on paper. I for one would love to try the pencil on screen. So this is definitely a giveaway entry. Thanks for the opportunity!
Hey, i don't have computer yet, i want to draw with a tablet instead of my phone but for that i also need a computer. The thought of winning the giveaway makes me feel so happy since it'd be a huge help financially. And also since you can also use it with androids I'd take commissions to collect money for a computer, so i am pretty excited about this.
@@samueldraws yeah my own device isn't compatible but my dad device is, thanks for the advice anyways :)
I would love to win the Wacom one because I have trouble drawing with my computer
That new wacom one looks so cool!!! I only have wacom intuos and still can't draw properly like drawing on paper since I still can't control it nicely to give me a nice soft brush effect. Always wanted to draw on tablet to get a better control. ✨
I'm getting one of these in the next two weeks, and I'm so excited cause' I've wanted a Wacom drawing tablet for a while, and I've always had to settle for lower quality, and more affordable options, so excited!!
Gaaaaah! As a struggling artist, this would be EVERYTHING! I'm sending out positive vibes and good luck vibes for myself, lol
Happy Lunar New Year!! 🐁🐁🐁
I’ve been trying to make my art style work in procreate but I absolutely cannot stand a lot of things about it. Having a screen tablet would make my life easier in so many ways. I’d love in. Thanks for the opportunity.
Couldn't you just use other apps to make your art work? I assume you have ipad since you said procreate. And there are other options besides procreate in ipadOS, like medibang, concept, etc.
Thank you for the review!! It was super helpful, in case I actually want to buy lol its entry level but still out of my budget 🙃
I just saw this tablet yesterday on twitter, nice to see a review on it.
Hi Marc, I'd definitely like to win one of those. I'm actually studying Concept Art so it would be really useful for me.
Good luck to everyone who enters this Giveaway!
It'd be a dream come true to own a WACOM tablet... good luck everyone in giveaway! :)
Why? This thing is worse than the cheaper alternatives. You want this only because Wacoms name is plastered on it? Have fun wasting your money then, you uninformed Wacom shill. XD
@@Oozaru85 lol exactly so what do u recommend?
