That’s amazing how you commentate while the video is playing. Especially to my generation. I was a young 18 year old British Army Recruit in basic training when this was released! We used to all pogo to it at the NAAFI disco every Wednesday evening. It was the only night of the week that females where allowed in to the barracks. All the girls wanted to look like you! Lol xx

This has always been my all time favourite song by Toyah, it hhas so many good memories for me and I stil love haering her sing it live. It takes me back too to being at that iconic gig athe Drury lane theatre on christmas eve,when Toyah opened tha gig with this song whilst glimbing down a ladder in high healed boots. She was the first peron I ever saw live. and have seen her live many times I did catch one of the electric ladies gig s too and it was amazing. I always loved the imageof Toyah on the "Four More From Toyah" EP that tis song came from. When ever I haer Good Morning Universe it always makes me feel lifted. A really iconic song for me. I've always loved this song. I had to buy a second copy of Four More From Toyah because I wore my first one out! I always thought "Good Morning Universe" was a song about SETI (Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence)! And I got into trouble as a kid for trying to recreate the sleeve art hair style using my sister's hair, food colouring and enough hairspray to blow a hole in the ozone layer! Toyah, you have a lot to answer for, lol! 😍😍

Your correct Toyah your hair was fantastic. But it only look that good because it was on your fabulous head & it was your moves that made it flow & make it mesmerising. Is mesmerising the correct word for when you focus on something ? I would have only been 11 in 1981 so I guess I was not as into music as older people would of been. But even at 11, I knew what a beautiful woman was. So I must admit at that stage of my life , it would of been your beauty & moves & energy that got my attention. I like how you jump up & your hair went up like an erupting volcano of lava & then came flowing down softly like an elegant soft stream of water. Yes mesmerising.
