    What about his work on the dove shack album, dog pound, ludacris, thug life, Kurupt, xzbit, mark ronson ohh wee, there weren’t a track out there in the 90s-200s that he didn’t impact. Such an original style, sound made every song and collaborator a success. They were lucky to have him feature, a song with his name associated was a sealed stamp of quality. I was hocked by his tones and delivery, a master and a core founding father of g-funk. Man miss his vocals and style, he made stars, turned a mediocre track to platinum

    Great Artist. Enjoying many of his songs since decades but just imagine what whould ve been if he took advice from his pastor father as a kid. no crime history, no struggle and propably would be still alive and well, imagine the beautiful (and most likeliy cool ) gospel songs he could ve created. serving God and saving others from what he experienced.     After watching this, people should listen to Nate Dogg “I Don’t Want to Hurt No More”…. Not popular, because it’s such a depressing sounding song, but could legitimately feel his pain. With a voice like his, it was hard imagine his life being so rough

      Being a legend and having a successful Career are two different things.
      Also, no he wasn't the "king" of G-Funk. I'd concede he was maybe the "Voice" of G-Funk.
      I'm the end, he was given the title "King Of The Hooks" because that's what his reputation and bank account was built on.
      Just because you may fawn over someone, justified or not, the truth and facts are what they are, and pander to emotion or personal tastes.
      Finally, to call him the King Of G-Funk is like calling Flavour Flav the King of Consciousness Rap.

      I was super into bone thugs growing up. Bizzy was one of my favorites. Now that I have aged I can’t stand them. They are just so mediocre. Butch cassidy and nate made music that was miles beyond them.
