They were promoting positive music and messages in the music. Miss those days.
They were promoting corny watered down Disney bullshit.

One thing you can say about the Black Eyed Peas is that once you listen to their music, you never forget it
And that's the problem
@@agentsmith6492well better than to be "forgettable"
They released a new single with new singer. Its very good
@@syvhne I'd rather not be known than churn out that kind of garbage. I remember doing an audition recording for a TV show, and it was so bad that when the casting director asked for my tape, I told her that out of respect for the craft, I'd rather not submit it.... it's called artistic integrity! Something this group has none of. Shite!!!
A bit like hearing a violent murder.
Monkey Business is a legendary album. So much nostalgia. I was 5th or 6th grade at the time and I can hear their music almost everywhere. Such good times.
You know it !!!❤❤❤
I remember a lot of people saying bad things about Fergie's looks. I always thought she was very beautiful and had a great voice.
Why She was And still is Beautiful
Really? Man she's always been gorgeous, and a talented lady
That's crazy. I always thought she was pretty when I first listened to BEP as a teenager.
Saw them live before they hit it big and she was KILLER live, blew everyone away she had a legit voice
It isn’t surprising. The 2000s was the era where girly girls were demonized into submission. Just ask Britney.
"Where Is The Love", "Let's Get It Started", "Pump It", "Hey Mama"....man this was 1 of my fav rap groups from early 2000s and when they switched genres to Rnb to Pop to Rock to EDM....I was like "This group is very versatile!"
All of them songs and the group themselves are an afront to music. I can't call them a band because to be named a band, you need to have musical talent and play proper instruments. Shit
Worst lyricists ever.

Yep

She actually went solo before she had kids
You're a hero.
Yeah I remember them pre Fergie they had a handful of songs that did ok, but when she joined the group they got really popular hit after hit then all the sudden they were gone!
That's cool. I didn't know they had a female singer before fergie.
@@CraigMahaneyThey had various different guest singers before Fergie came along. One of their best tracks imo was “Weekends”. Smooth awesome sound with a female singer by the name of “Esthero”.

You did a really good job telling their story. Normally I skip these kind of videos.
I didn't forget when "Let's get it started" was originally "Let's get r3tarded." 😂😂😂

I still have the disc with the original version.
@@carlcwmsme toooooo!!!! And I was blasting that song couple weeks ago!
I forgot about that thanks for the reminder. The original cut of the track had slightly different beat too and it just was so much better than the later version.
Fergie wasn't the original Singer she came before the Singer left
I Got A Feeling was one of the songs played during our wedding party. Brings back so many good memories. Also loved the version they did for Oprah with the huge flash mob

They hype us up. If Black Eyed peas (four of them) go for world tour... please please please... come by singapore babay

Glad that u like it🙏🏼
I remember listening to them in the mid 90s as a kid. They were not really popular. elephunk was their cross over into the mainstream. Their sound became super pop and popular amongst kids and clubs.
I prefer their music in the 90s. I never liked went they went super pop'y 😊
Yes, same....I saw them open to or No Doubt in Chicago and it was before Fergie
I loved pump it & loads of their songs in the early 2ks too.

Recently, but without Fergie…
They suck and make ears bleed. Fergie ruined the national anthem because she is nowhere near the talent of Kim Hill.
Would be great for them including fergie

Hey mama is my fave❤
And some songs of transtation are very fun..
glad I found the channel. its got sad moments happy moments.. than ks for the content buddy! new sub :)

This group is very cool. I have good memories when they were
The black peas and outcast are like the best of the early 2000's pop/ hip hop bands 👌 🔥 nice memories ❤❤❤❤
comparing BEP to outcast is so f**king dumb,
Outkast. It’s Out”k”ast.
Mr 3000 only plays the flute now 😅
They asked Fergie to sing National Anthem and she embarassed herself to the point she doesn't want to sing no more.
Because she can't sing.
@@TOm-hr2mbOh really?
@@TOm-hr2mb I beg to differ. I've known of her since Wild Orchids and those were girls with serious vocal chops. She can truly hold her own, but singers have "on it" moments and "off" moments. Her "off" caught her at a really bad time.
But if you don't like her singing, that's fair too.
If you have nothing nice to say then don’t talk

I wish one day they do a Superbowl half time show where they unite and sing their hits! One of the Goats

Theyre promoting good vibes… subtly injecting the good stuff in life… not only in their music but in their own personal lives. Theyre not perfect; when they fall, they learn how to rise. Love them👍💖🙏 Good vibes✨😎God bless❤️🙏🙏🙏

Being in my 40s this documentary has really taken me back in time to good places....I admit even having a little celebrity crush on Fergie....I have so much respect for Will I've seen so many stories of his generosity
I love The Black Eyed Peas. You can't listen to them and not be happy. I heard of them before Fergie they were cool but then they were so happy. They just make you want to dance when you don't want to.
Wow great insight 👍🏾 💯
Thank you!

This was well done. Will check out others

That was a really great video. I had always wondered what the story was I really appreciate this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely love the BEP, one of the best groups of the 1990's/2000's that had songs that were not ridden with profanity or negativity. And old BEP albums are absolutely awesome.
Loved Stacey in Kids Incorporated while growing up.
yesssss, that show was awesome
I wanted to be her when I was a little kid. I thought the dancing was so amazing

The black eyes peal's electronic sound is so memorable
Just to add, Apl de Ap is big in the Philippines. Had collabs and produced songs with other local artist, he still does up to this day when they're not on tour. Just like Will, he also became one of the coach of the Voice Philippines.
J. Rey Soul auditioned in the Voice PH where Apl became her coach. Their performance with her during the closing of Southeast Asian Games, for me was one of their best live performances after Fergie left.
Thank you
Whoa, I had no idea the Black Eyed Peas had such a deep past?!😮
Pre and Post Fergie is a bit better but with Fergie The Black Eyed Peas we’re fun. To each his own though. Solid video

It's just not the same without Fergie. I watched for Taboo's hair. He had beautiful locks. I loved their colorful videos.
Meet me half way and where is the love. It is very nostalgic every party and school party. 🎉
Some questionable choices...but they are hip hop straight. That albim before translation is dope AF
I was actually hoping to ear a thing or two about their collabo with Macy Grey: Request Line. My favorite by the way.

I saw the black eyes peas perform live in the late 90s just before their first album dropped as BEPs at a club in downtown manhattan called the WETLANDS on Houston and canal. This was before fergie, i don't revel the name of the young lady who sang with them at the time. She was amazing, as well as the rest of the group. It was a small venue, holding about 300 heads, they had ... a live band, a beat box, a dj, breakdancers and shorty on vocals. It was THE BEST LIVE HIP HOP SHOW I'VE SEEN TO THIS DAY. BEP will always have a special place in my heart for that show. Amazing.
What do you mean by " I don't revel the name of the young lady who sang with them" ?
SO Nostalgic. I have chills
A little surprised you didn't mention their Superbowl appearance.
Fergie thought she could do better on her own. It never really worked out for her though. I think they were touring without her not that long ago.
Blackeyed Peas made Fergie famous, she went solo and bombed.
but she got some killa solos tho...bgdc, glamourous
I’m still listening to their popular songs in my Spotify and Fergie’s Fergilicious! ❤❤❤
One of my all time Favourites!
Anxiety with Papa Roach was always a favourite off elephunk
The End really was the end
Went true all the changes with them since the early 90s ✌🏾
It's crazy how every single song that played at least 98.7% of it and I knew those songs word for word and it just brought back so many memories that I'm sitting here crying because days would never be good like that again ever 😭 I'm literally just reminiscing going to the carnival with my friends with no freaking worries
Behind the Front and Bridging the Gap were amazing albums in a time were Hip Hop had diversity in the music, everyone had their own style and the Black Eyed Peas had a great sound that fit the mold but in order to expand they had to go pop and that's fine, they still made some great tracks but the original albums just had that feeling
I love black eyed beans 😊

Most artist dont get but at most 5 great albums the fact they had 3 and she had one is quite the accomplishment .

@@andydufresne6778 thank you man, you have my respect
Miss them !
The band always made magic .. they will always be true artists that created magic . god Bless y'all... As Fergie said ' The Black Eyed Peas don't cry.. ,:
I love the fact they tried to get to know what sounds people liked in various places. Getting to know what type of music your audience likes makes a lot of sense. In contrast I dont think it was a very smart idea to use that same method when picking a message or theme for their songs. My reasoning for that is mostly because many people have differing opinions on thise topics. So your audience is now much more divided which makes it harder to make a song they will all enjoy. At least thats how I see it.
Their time in the early 2000s after Fergie joined was their peak in my mind. Everyone has their own struggles they must overcome. So I wont worry about all the drama from the past. I will say I miss the old days. Seemed like more of a variety to the music to listen to back then.
