Warren G has to be the most humble dude in music history. Living legend. 👑 ✊🏿
100 percent
that’s a muthafuckin fact!
I Love how big got the regulator sweatshirt on
....facts. some of the most boring interviews because of it but facts
He also would drink a lot and pick up teenage girls from the high school but he’s a humble guy
Im sorry y'all, but I gotta give Big his flowers, again! The way Big shows love to these artists is amazing. It always feels heart felt and genuine when he compliments or reminds them of their accolades! I love it!
Warren G is criminally underrated. G-Funk era till the death of me!
Yes sir 🙏🏾
till the casket drops! 💯
@@RuthIessVillain 💪💪
Very mad at him for using such a dope beat for a dang St. Ides commercial. To make it worse, he loses the dang floppy disk to that beat.
Facts!
Regulate is a worldwide hiphop anthem of all times. Put that next Biggy's Juicy, Snoops' Gin N Juice, Pac's Carlifornia Love, Dre's Keep their Heads Ringing, list goes on...we love Regulate out here in Africa
Keep their heads rininging aint in this in Europe. But i know what you mean. stuff like i got 5 on it or gangstas paradies are other examples
@space_dogg keep your head ringing was a knockoff of cypress hill, but yeah
*BIG BOY - let the guest tell the story their way without jumpin in. lol we know you get excited but damn.*
Facts! I was thinking the same thing! Big boy keeps cutting him off.
Foul, foul, Warren G brought them all this talent . Worked for free and Dre didn’t look out for him. This is family, it’s deeper than what’s being said.
I think in the end it turned out better for him. At that moment sure, I'd be pissed. But when you look at Nate and Lady of Rage and how their music didn't get released on Death Row, it was a blessing maybe
Snoop takes care of him…Facts🎼💰
You got receipts?
@@LukeDogg20Rage dropped her album on Death Row..she took too long according to Daz, and wasn't ready to drop. By the time Pac got there she got shelved even further. Album dropped in 97 after her buZz was dead and Dre had been gone
Dre don’t even look out for his seeds lol
Can you let Warren do interview and answer ? Bruh you asking questions and answering them from your own experience.
Thank you Warren G for making my early teens unforgettable. The 90's was a dope era of music. You are a true underdog & underdogs always come out on top! Your rejection from Death Row was your blessing.
I hit the gate and I hops on my shwiiiiin, and I tell the homies aiiiight then.
One of my all time favorite songs.
😂💪🏾🔥
Mannnn, well worded verse🎉
IT'S KINDA EASY WHEN YOU LISTENIN TO THA GD UP SOUND🎶
@@oldspresident Pioneer speakers bumpin as I smoke on a pound!
Everytime I listen to that song I got to play (ain't no fun if the homies can't have none) afterwards lol basically the same beat but faster
This was an AMAZING interview. Warren G filled in a lot of holes that Snoop left when he told his side of the story. He also filled in how Daz & Kurupt came about. The 2Pac story was priceless! Regulate was my jam.
Lie to kick it studio session was amazing also
Snoop left holes because he lied about most of the shit he talked about when it came to Tupac.
@@kr4yzi32k the thing that makes me mad about snoopers he's saying all this stuff now that he never said when pac was alive. Like when he said about pac and kurupt going at it on the beach... Kurupt even had said that it was him himself fault he made pac mad and they settled it back at the studio. The way he talked about Nate Dogg like Nate Dogg was going to take out pac was nonsense because even Nate Dogg used to get on kurupt back then for acting up mixing Hennessy and Old English.
@@kr4yzi32k 😅🤣 d@m sure did
I totally agree! How you tell your younger brother you gotta look out for yourself especially after helping you put a masterpiece together
I got mad respect for Warren G after this interview. I had no idea how instrumental Warren G was to so many artists and hits. Also, he is so humble and cool for how much everyone took advantage of his art.
Coming up in that era, Yeah I only figured his clout yesterday after listening to the Snoop interview! And of course this one!
Yall ain't bored with stories of dead ppl?
l
Warren brought Snoop, Nate, Korrupt, Daz, and a few others I'm forgetting. That makes him responsible for over half of the artist at Death Row... and never got paid for any of it. He even wrote and produced songs for these guys and Dre didn't sign him or pay him. 🤔
@@Oskar-o2d Who is dead?
I love ya Big Boy but dayummm!!! Let him talk bruh! You killin me. It's almost like finally getting to watch that movie and when it finally pop's off, the damn cable get's cut.
Bra you ain't lying that shit is hella annoying
I feel like Dre may have kept him out of Death Row… Warren G is a legit self-made G! He did his thing, even when things looked down for him. Humble man.
I've heard the story several different times, from both Warren and Dre, and it seems as if Dre definitely saved Warren from the bullshit that was already showing up at Death Row.
It was a lot of bad things going in at DeathRow and Dre ain't want Warren around that.. fights etc..
Sound like bullshit tbh if that was the case Dre shouldn’t of wanted snoop around that either , warren g basically had a hand in building up death row responsible for all the dogg pound being there and Dre took the talent and left his so called brother hanging that’s crazy
@@MrLuhbat49 snoop ain’t his blood brother
@@KarmasAbutch my point exactly that’s more of a reason to help him out as he the reason the label had the talent it had. How do you make sure they straight but not your own brother or played a big role behind the scenes and just leave him ostracized that’s not real
This man saved Def Jam from bankruptcy. Gave them a multi-platinum album at a time when they were in the red. Russell loves him to this day.

@davebassi7340 I feel ya but, Warren's g funk album with regulators on it dropped in like 94... DMX didn't sign to Def jam til the late 90s..wanna say 98 or even 99...but definitely came thru for the label as well..
Rip Nate Dogg and DMX 🙏🌹🕊

That G- Funk Era so 🔥🔥🔥🔥
WarrenG is the hardest artist ever with this one line:” I hops on my Swin and I tell the homies aight den.”
That one line captures a moment in time ; meanwhile, universally displaying how we rolled as youth! ICONIC!!!
hail yeah
If you know, you know
Mann!!! That brings me back
I like stuff like that a lot better than this rippety rap stuff where every word rhymes and you need a dictionary for
Pure rap critics would say that rhyme is trash
Schwinn
I see why Dre sits on a lot of music and doesnt release it. He needs someone around him to tell him he's wrong. No way in h.e. double hockey sticks was he right about the Regulate song. That song stood the test of time for decades. Greatest song in hip hop, next to Gangster's Paradise, etc.
I love Warren G, and it's unfortunate that Dre kinda left him high and dry when it was time to go on tour - But the end result... that first record Regulate... G Funk Era is on par with The Chronic and Doggystyle. It's a very nice, chill easy summer record.
Warren G is a true legend. Great interview
Warren G is a solid dude, very down to earth…met him at Cherry Park on the east side of Long Beach years back
"Do you see what I see, everyday as Warren G!"
"I take a look over my shoulder as I get older, getting tired of MF's saying Warren I told ya"

This is my first time listening to Warren G's full interview. Salute Warren. He has a lot of impact in the music industry. It was like seating in an history class for me. Much love!!!
Happy Malcolm X Day 👊🏿 🎉
Praise the Ancestors 🙌🏾🩺💦🧘🏾♂️
The fact that they didn’t put Warren G on deathrow after everything was crazy.
Warren G 1st album was 🔥🔥🔥
But at the same time he definitely dodged a bullet by not getting signed to DeathRow.
Warren G got what we call "a blessing in disguise"
"It was me, Snoop and Nate" this man was so humble and happy to say that line :D
Regulate was the first rap song I loved and Warren the first rapper I loved. I say this on all videos that feature him, he is criminally overlooked as a rapper and producer, and like everyone else says, he is such a humble and down-to-earth guy.
Same here, I'm from the UK and I loved listening to Warren and snoops doggystyle were my favourite tapes in 90's .
Dope interview just kept cutting Warren G off when he was trying to tell his stories
That's why it's hard for me to listen to Big Boy's interviews. He does that a lot.
Massive shot out to Warren G for ushering in the G-funk dynamic of Hip Hop.
I just wished Big Boy wouldve slowed down a little, seems like Warren wouldve kept going on his answers but the follow up question was asked too song. Great interview tho....G-Funk Forever
Big boy Must've been excited for this interview.. he kut Warren off alot 🤨😀
Right. I was thinking the same thing. I was like DAMN let him finish speaking Bro.
No doubt! I think he was a little too geeked up for this interview
He always cut people off
I bought Regulator G-funk era in the summer of 94. Hoping to hear some Snoop featuring but I was surprised how good Warren G was. Then we all waited for that 213 album. But it came out so late.
Love that album ,Especially the Scandalous record 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That album belongs in the top 20 records of all time
❤ Warren G!! Just seen him in concert with Cube back in December 😊
I wish I’d see more warren g interviews, real humble dude and timeless records, warren needs to put a tour together he always puts on bomb ass shows !

That was a good ass interview but Big gotta calm his excitement down a lil bit and stop inturrupting so much. Warren will be about to drop jewel and Big would cut him off and breqk his train of thoight.
Big Boy talked too much in this interview, I wanna hear from Warren.
Imagine if he didn’t release regulate after Dre reaction.that song is a classic !
I Shot the Sherriff remix is still one of the greatest beats and songs I ever heard. Warren G is the man
The interview was awesome.
Homeboy doing the interview keeps interrupting Warren. Let the man answer the questions

Big Boy need to STFU and let the humble guest talk, he ran him over a few times and warren forgot what he was tryin to say.
dope interview...keep rockin warren
Well that’s a great interview lots of history shared things I didn’t know about lots of great questions from the past!!!! It’s an amazing video thank you for sharing this wonderful video Thank you 🙏 ❤love hearing about everything from the past makes me understand more about the music and the artist!!!!
Dre probably left him off death row because he may have seen the way suge was moving early and he was protecting his family. Blessing in disguise
@kingMeech Dre didn't signed Warren to Death Row because Dre as well as Suge felt Warren had no talent as a artist. Dre not signing to Death Row had nothing to do with the way that Suge was moving and/or all the drama that was going at Death Row.
The D.O.C. said that Dre & Suge didn't look at Warren as a artist worthy of signing. However Warren showed both Dre & Suge that he is a talented rapper & had they signed him to Death Row they could have had another superstar rapper on their roster with a double platinum album.
The Regulator = West Coast Hip Hop Vet !!!!
2 Pac would still be alive today if Warren G had of bailed him out💙
That G funk documentary was fire 🔥
That track off his first album "smoking Me Out" was a banger.
That song is from his second album bro
@@derekduram4514I was about to say the same thing lol
Another classic interview by the legendary big boy!!
This interview was EVERYTHING. 💜🔥🎤
Respect to Warren G. Dude might be my favorite person in the industry after watching this. UNDER APPRECIATED
Yo sassy ways with Nate Dogg is still one of my favorite Warren G songs..
Warren still tries not to say anything bad about Dre eventhough Dre treated him like sh*t his whole life. Can you imagine doing all that writing producing and bring him new talemt that made the label successfull, and not being paid a dime for it. Dre signed all Warren's friends and not him. Took everybody on a world tour, and left Warren at the freaking airport. I know that had to feel horrible. Constantly reaching out to your brother trying to get his attention and being rejectedq every time. I'm so happy he still blew up and had one of the biggest number one records in hip hop history. Without Dre.
I wonder how did snoop react when they got to the airport and Warren didn’t have a ticket? I would have found a way to get my best friend on that plane. That was messed up.
Warren G had a documentary that came out maybe about 2 years ago where Snoop talk about that airport incident. I can't remember the name of the documentary but it was good.
@@1judauhnet us know what the name of the documentary if you remember and put it in the comments when you can.

i respect Warren G here go these ducktales about Suge.
I just discovered The Twinz - 'Round and Round'; crazy nice summer song which I was just now bumping in the car. Homie Warren G was behind that too right? His first album was the bomb!
I listened to that Twinz album every summer!
Warren G produced all of Tha Twinz 95 Conversation album (except for 4 eyes 2 heads, Soopafly), and it's as good as Regulate imo, but largely ignored.
Big Boy talks over his guests alot I notice but still a great interview
Thank you for this conversation. Warren is a legend, big love

They were making magic in the studio and didn't even know the impact it would make. Legend
Warren has been telling the airport story in every interview for the past 26 years. It hurt him deeply.
Lot of modern day rappers need to see how legends act.. The ability to string along a sentence without constantly boasting.
All the Snoop Dogg affiliated people always with these grand stories
Warren is underrated because he did not try to be some big gangster when he wasn’t like snoop and Dre I will always pick the regulator Album over doggy style to listen to every time
True. I think warren album better
I love the Big Boy show but got damn bro you gotta let the Warren talk and complete his sentences! lol Legends!
Warren G was my first intro to rap where I fell in love with it and my fave rapper as a kid...I couldn't have been older than 7 😂 Warren G deserves his flowers!!! This whole interview made me smile.

Gotta love Warren’s energy
Its obvious that Warren G is a sensible man but I wonder what had have happened to Snoop Dogg if Warren G wasn't around my guess would be Snoop could have been in prison or worse man think about it all
I thought him and Dre were half brothers, so they are step brothers?
Yes they're step brothers he says it in this interview bruh & all his interviews from the past all the way to now crazy
Cool back story on the word “chronic” & what the WHOLE world used the word for still to this day 💯
It had to be hard for Warren G not to be a part of Death Row. But in the other hand his album might of never came out. Signing to Dej Jam was a better situation.
He actually got kicked out of his Lakewood westgate house cuz the ppl didn’t like him and the loud music he got voted out from the gated community
when was that?
Warren G is an Icon.
Too bad you kept interrupting him in mid sentence..we lost some jewels man...
Dope human, so humble and sincere. Salute to Warren G.
Dope dope interview from G Dub. For sure doesn’t get the rose that he deserved. I was fortunate to run into him solo at Sam Goodys at Lakewood Mall
