Historical interview right here- Hopefully it gets the recognition it deserves, especially with it being the 50th anniversary of hip hop! Much love and respect ✊🏽💯
Most definitely
fully agree!!! 💯
Warren's story is one of overcoming, how he reinvented himself after Suge and Death Row wouldn't fuck with him, and debuted as a soloist at Def Jam to save to company is epic!
@teddystyles2307 The D.O.C. said in the G-Funk era documentary (whatever it is called) that Suge Knight as well as Dr. Dre did not see the value in Warren as a artist who could sell records. Best believe if Dre wanted to sign Warren to Death Row he would have.
@@naaimshareef-b4band they were wrong as warren went on to have platinum success
@@Rockkin23 Most definitely, i have said that myself. Warren showed both Dr. Dre & Suge Knight that he could sell records his Regulate G-Funk Era album went triple platinum, it is a dope album & Warren can rap.
Warren G man hes such a legend.. and after hearing this interview... I appreciate him even more than i already did
"Y'all come up to the studio on Monday." That was HipHop right there.
WARREN G SAVED DEF JAM🎯🎯🎯🎯
Facts
He sure did
💯
And then they discard him
How?
Great insight from the legendary Warren G and phenomenal interview!!!! Glad the stories are getting told in full that I wanted to hear!!!! 💯💯💯💯
Vccv
Anything apart of or affiliated with Death Row or Ruthless or Def Jam is always a legendary tale💯👌
Coolest thing about this (aside from Warren G being the coolest dude ever) is him on the porch dolo.... Probably one of the only interviews on this channel with no homies, cousins, etc, on the porch with the guest haha.
Weirdest thing about this interview, and G has mentioned it before, how Dre often ignored him and the distance between them so to speak. How can y'all be stepbrothers on the same path and not take a listen to what your little brother is doing and stuff like that
Cause most the time niggas is working on they own shit to be real
Amen
Perfect example of how family and friends dont want to see you doing better or as good as them.
This is actually a Fire interview. No Frills all Culture. G carries himself like a musician and its refreshing. Dirty Glove didn't go gold plated everything an liquor bottles in the forefront. This one is 1 of them 1's. Preciate yall.
213 Crew Rest in paradise Nate Dogg! The iconic Warren G
This interview was one of the best warren g interviews that I have seen
OMG!!! I saw Warren G and instantly clicked on the video. He's so legendary. This is dope!
The reason why Dre met Snoop and the crew. He's a dope producer too and doesn't get a lot of recognition except from hard core fans. Regulate is one of my favorite albums of all time. G-Funk! Where rhythm is life and life is rhythm.
Here in Melbourne, Australia - Regulate is by far the most played rap track on Radio.
It’s the only rap song I know that still gets played that’s from the early 90’s.
The sample where the song comes from is also a great track - Michael McDonald’s I keep forgetting
This video should get 1 million Plays!
Original Og regulatorsssss mount UP😤
I have a feeling Snoop got served by kurupt but the don't want to admit and kurupt been humble won't say much
This is a better interview than Drink champs and I don't say that lightly
Warren G is highly favored. He's a walking and living testimony of what God can do when he decides it's your time to shine and shine and shine🙏
19:34 - awesome. this is the most in depth interview anyone could have hoped for. cheers!!! :D :D
Damn HE DID HOW LONG WILL THEY MOURN ME🤦🏾♂️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I didn’t know either…love that album. That’s my favorite song on there.
Warren was the homies meal ticket 🎟️. He deserves his flowers. I love LB that’s my 🏠 town.
Drinks Champs now this..... Warren Mf'n G Funk. #LBC
It's a song with Michael Jackson and Nate Dogg somewhere 🤯
Dr Dre & Suge knew the talent and smarts that Warren G had, they were intimidated and felt competitive of his skills, thats the reason they pushed him out, glad Warren G showed them and the world his talents and persevered, a true honest G
Warren so laid bacc and cool great interview 💯💯
Cuzz a legend 💪🏽 Great interview 💯 im tuned in🫡 Much love from San Antonio Texas 👍🏽
Real OGs don't need a squad sitting on the porch with him
So basically Dr. Dre and Suge owe Warren G 4 life 💯
LEGENDARY!!!!
Great interview !
Warren and Nate couldnt NOT hit a bullseye. NOBODY DOES IT BETTER! As his voice starts off nobodyyyy, warren g drips thr best in slowly
.. regulaters... 213 im fly. Woooooahhhh im flyyyyy yyaaa.. nate killed it eac and every times. Will never be another warren and or nate Dogg. Mississippi Nate
What an amazing interview, I got to go back and listen to all his music 🎶 just to reminisce.
People have no idea what a great person Warren is. At the height of Regulator in 94, he took the time out of his busy schedule to come all the way to Alabama to our family reunion (Griffins). He had to have taken 200 pics that day and he came back the next year.
One of the Best and Honest interview EVER!!!
We need more older rappers on here. I'm sick of these new dudes they all sound the same.
If we talking about underrated WARREN G IS! HE GOT CLASSICS UNDER HIS BELT! GOTTA GET MINES! DEFINITION OF A THUG NIGGA! INDO SMOKE! REGULATORS!
It's kinda easy when you listen to the G dub sound/pioneer speakers bumping while I smoke on a pound/I got the sound for your ass and it's easy to see/that this dj be Warren G...
Fooo gotta legend on the porch 🤞🏽🤸🏽♂️
Album title suggestion:
Tha Regulations
That song Warren G and Mr. Grimm made "Indo Smoke" is such an underrated classic! Warren G had 🔥
It was one greatest feeling to buy The Return of the Regulator cd at Christmas 2001
This interview was dope. Warren G a humble person much respect .
You got a new subscriber bro .
I wish he would’ve talked Pac outta signing with Death Row like he tried to tell Snoop . Warren was the only smart one not to sign to Death Row
It wasn't by choice he wanted to sign he was hurt when he didn't get contract
@@smoovej2868 it was by choice .. the contracts was fckd up and he walked away
@@auxcordpapi dude you don't cry about not getting a ticket or a jacket for something you don't want to be apart of nobody on death row ever complained about their contract except Daz way after the fact of him leaving and Suge smashing his wife he stayed after snoop left so that tells you shit wasn't as bad as they tried to make it seem later Danny boy never put out a album but you couldn't tell because he was living like a superstar
@@smoovej2868 now I know you don’t know your history 🤣 and you’re probably only in your 20s just lookin for a excuse to be correct all the time 😂😂😂
@@auxcordpapi 80s baby and a hip hop historian especially the death row era and west coast snoop used to live down the street from me his uncle junebug used to live upstairs from me before he passed away I know a little bit
8 thousand views this guy know story that nobody know from the west why people don't fuck with him
Warren G needs a movie on all this stuff...
I know the estates may not see eye to eye on it...but It would be a dope azz movie
Legend!!! Without him no snoop n dre
Wow, I never knew he produced that MC Breed song!
Me either after all these years finding out that and he produced.thay neyo and Jeezy song
Je suis Français et j’ai adoré son Album à l’époque, fan de ce gars respect

I'm very proud of them Nate Dogg included also Domino all those guys I remember when I grew up in Long Beach . Salute Warren G " I still listen to his music "
Why isn’t 213 the hard way, on streaming
When he was talkin bout moving around, moving from 21 & Lewis to Pasadena… I thought he was talkin bout Pasadena Ave. cuz he sure was around there too!
This right here nigga!!!!!!! Warren single handedly took part in building and developing the west coast sound and movement. Speaking as a Cali native who was born and raised in Lancaster CA. My momma was a young mother. I know Dogg pound gangsta album verbatim. Military family background . We live 15 min from Edward's Airforce Base. My father is from Long Beach CA. My Nana lived off of a street called East Burnett near cherry 🍒 AVE. Ceaser was a close friend to my father and his family. I'm 39 now
This guy is dope 🔥
You can't be any geek off the street... got to be handy with the steel if you know what I mean, earn your keep ... Regulators! Mount Up!🔥🔥🔥
I love you Warren g you are my favorite rapper of all time ❤️♥️♥️❤️❤️💗💗😍💗😍💗💕💗😙💗💗
DGB & Warren G!!!💯💪
I'll never forget running into Warren G & Nate at Mr O's in San Diego in 1998, while stationed there... Nate was cold on the pool table too.
Heavy.
Ps Peace to Nate Dogg

My nigga G-dub hooked it up
I love this! That’s my era and I listened to that music from the outside all those years and now you getting it like you’re right beside them in the studio…💯🔥
Loved when PAC rapped on Warren beats!
Damn I remember when he performed this DJ on BET with DJ rectangle on the turntables. That was dope!
I really don’t hit like buttons on RUclips but Warren g need his props fasho or should I say fashizzle lol
Wow
'U DON'T SEE .. WHAT I SEE .. EVERYDAY AS WARREN G' ..
Underrated track
Love love love Mr. Warren to tha G. He one smooth motha fucka
It’s so strange how Lucy black men get out out just because they don’t have a job . All after while being deprived of being taught how to make it outside of the streets. These black parents are very dangerous to raise black men.
Congrats on this interview with a legend 100
