This Crazy 8lb Mexican Torta Sandwich Challenge Was WAY Bigger Than Expected!!

- American professional eater Randy Santel versus La Torta Loca's massive 8lb “El Ñoño” Mexican Torta Sandwich Challenge, hosted by the La Torta Loca Mexican and Venezuelan Street Style Food Restaurant location in Crescent Springs, Kentucky, to the southwest of Cincinnati, Ohio!! For my first short weekend food challenge trip of 2024 with my girlfriend @KatinaEatsKilos, we headed towards the Cincinnati, Ohio metro area to attempt a few man vs food eating challenges. On the way there, for competitive eating challenge #1 of five, we stopped at the newer La Torta Loca Mexican and Venezuelan Street Style Food Restaurant location in Crescent Springs, Kentucky. The original location is nearby in Florence, Kentucky, both southwest of Cincinnati, Ohio, and both offer an 8lb "El Ñoño” Mexican Torta Sandwich Challenge. There is a 45 minute time limit to feast on a huge Mexican torta sandwich that is a combination of multiple torta sandwich options from their regular menu. It has beef, grilled chicken, fried chicken breasts, sliced up hot dog meat, ham slices, fried eggs, chorizo, a smashed up baked potato, multiple cheeses, healthy lettuce, jalapenos, tomato slices, and avocado, plus more!! A few people have tried the challenge, and only our friend @EliLessig has managed to win the challenge. I was trying to become the 2nd champion to win my $49.99 torta sandwich meal free, plus a sweet t-shirt, a Lucha Libre mask, and a spot on La Torta Loca's Wall of Fame!! BIG thanks to everyone with La Torta Loca for the wonderful food, drinks, and hospitality!! Special thanks also to all our amazing friends who came up that Saturday afternoon to watch and meet us!! I always like how Randy almost always purposely leaves room on the clock for others to have a chance to beat the record. The main objective seems to beat the time limit, but aside from that, he doesnt seem to mind if others come along later and beat his times. Thats very sportsmanlike😎
Records have never really mattered to me, and mostly just winning. There are some great eaters who just eat and don’t talk much, and they all have real jobs, making eating a hobby.

Oh my goodness Randy I am actually impressed you don't know about El Chavo del 8. That Mexican show was translated to about 50 languages. Mexicans actually don't like it that much as I've been learning in Facebook posts, but in South America we loved it. Ñoño appears in El Chavo del 8. Thinking's about it kinda brings back childhood memories

Another great food challenge. I like how you called out the gentleman who did the food challenge before you which ate less to get the record. Like you, I don't put up with BS and say how I feel. You are a great American and hope you will come back to Idaho and do another challenge. Flying Pie Pizza has a Hobenero Pizza challenge that Adam Richman didn't beat.
I'm on a diet. Total weight loss goal is 50 pounds and have lost 10 so far. I torture myself (not really) by watching Randy and Katina eat big food, LOL. I live vicariously through them ;)
