How many men have you heard say “I love my wife but I’m not in love with her anymore that’s why I cheated on her but I could never leave her because I love her” 90% of married men that cheat on their wife will say something along those lines. They still love their wives and would rather die then lose them but at the same time they’re still men and their sex drives take over so they cheat (usually their wives have stopped taking care of themselves and/or refuse to have sex with their husbands anymore and are all about the children) so the men cheat out of desperation. When men are IN LOVE with their woman they could never cheat, but you can LOVE and not want to divorce but still cheat.

Yup, maybe it's a mistake only if, for eg., you had a big fight/something is seriously wrong at the moment w/ the relationship, maybe your thinking is impaired as well and you find yourself with someone else that is all over you and you just go w/ it...a perfect storm of events, a one time thing that you regret once you have a clear head. Long-term cheating or multiple-partner cheating is as you said, too much work to be deemed a mistake.
Absolutely agree! Also even the act of having sex requires finding a location, foreplay, putting on a condom etc. Makes no sense, that’s more than enough time to stop yourself. It’s not a mistake it’s a wilful act

We are also both home bodies and spend almost all of our free time together lol. He turns his eyes away if a Victoria Secret commercial comes on because he thinks looking at a woman in her underwear is being disrespectful to me. When a man cheats, you will see the change in his routines and schedules. There will be signs. Women are too intuitive not to know. Cheating is physical lying: you lied when you said you would be faithful. Not telling me and repenting is deceiving, unrepentant unfaithfulness. It is the same package. Promiscuity in high school and college leads to cheating later in life whether it is with a fiancé, husband or wife. Parents sadly normalise promiscuity today and say it is the new "normal" and call it having a "steady" relationship. There is no such thing as having a relationship serious or otherwise. If you want to have intercourse, get married. We now have staggering divorce rates and breakups due to infidelity whose root cause started long ago.

People cheat when they feel insecure, not strong in their morals and selfish. After cheating you need to ask the partner "Do you want to be with me?" Do you want to be committed to me and if not why not...If he or she is angry, not getting their needs met then you should work on those things, decide if you want an open relationship or split up. Most people who cheat are weak spiritually and morally that is the bottom line its no different then someone who steals or hurts people in other ways its just not having strong principles and discipline. The real question should be, "What is worse: A breakdown in honest communication in your relationship, or cheating to fill the void?" Cheating happens for a reason. Most of the time, the relationship was already damaged before anyone cheated. We lie to ourselves and try to make it seem like "cheating" was the problem itself, rather than a response to a problem.

Two thoughts here: 1) Women don't cheat. How naive can you be? The current figures put out by psychologist studies is the 62% of married women have thought about cheating - and 40% have - so their opinions are not based in fact. 2) That does not take into consideration women that are in "committed relationships". If you were able to include that number, the percentage would soar.
Personally, if I were able to be ask one question of this panel, it would be: Have you ever been involved in a committed (declared exclusivity) relationship and done an overlap ~ where you had ANY sexual activity (physical affair - including making out), or, any emotional development going on (emotional affair) with another person other than your significant other - before you officially broke off the exclusivity with your significant other? In short, lined up your next partner before your ended it with current partner.
I'll bet that all three of them have. Keep in mind that for the most part, an emotional affair is typically as destructive for women as a physical affair.

Ideally he should end the relationship if he wants to be with someone else but in the event he is selfish to cheat he shouldn't be selfish to use me to ease his conscience. He should let me go and keep his dirty secret to himself.

If the reason is because you cheated I'm not going to be concerned with your conscience or how you feel. I'll be more concerned with having the truth so that I may move on.
The truth may hurt for awhile but it will set you free. Why walk around and everyone know your living a lie but you. Yes it’s extremely painful but there are others out there that value you and will stay true (they are just hard to find). Truthfully I don’t think most cheaters are that concerned of their wife/girlfriend knowing the truth or that it rides their mind like that (especially if they are a repeated offenders). However, I believe by telling the truth (the whole truth) is good for both people although it hurts like hell!!! Valuable time has already been wasted so why continue to live a lie. If people can find strength to leave then I advice them to do so. However if they stay, he needs to be responsible for healing her and not just telling the truth. I understand somethings can be just too much to know but me.... I would want to know the truth so I know who I am really dealing with and how to adjust my mindset to better myself.

A man can move in with you, marry you, give you children and provide for a family but that does not mean he won't turn around and cheat if he isn't really happy.
