    Thank you so much for this video! Learning to do small home repairs on my own & this is very helpful my 1year old puppy chews up the dry wall and I’m so glad I have the answer on how to fix it thanks again!🙂

    Great tutorial! Almost therapeutic to watch….my pup chewed a few holes in our wall. I’m not sure if I’ll repair myself but at least now I know how!

    I noticed the trim portion was cut out. Do you have a video on trim repairs? Was hoping that aspect was in this video as a bonus! I too, have houseguests that likes to scratch! Also, ty for this video.

      Not yet 😢 but i am planning on making one soon . Its a pretty similar process except i ise durhams water putty. Its really cheap and dries really hard hreat for wood repairs

    I have the same issue in my kitchen, the dog scratched up the wall by the wall way and I spackled it up, and the dog goes and does it again before it even dried…I might have to cut the piece of dry wall out and replace it…

    Would you recommend lightly sanding after the texture dries if it’s a little more globy than the rest of the wall? The can I got didn’t have a size adjustment just pressure adjust and 😅

      Yeah i have done a very light sand before to give it a flatter look

    What’s the biggest difference between the oil and water based homex?

      I feel like the oil based just gives you a better texture . Closer to the real textures that are on the walls. The water based just always looks bad for me

    I just use my wife's mixer to mix then quickly wash it off when I'm done I have 4 corgi/Australian Shepherd dogs and they dig so I've done this alot!!!!!! Even spent 2000 on a vinyl floor for my living room because they ruined the carpet lol but I love them very much so getting rid of them is not an option.

      @@BryanBuilt works great man just wash it outside at the hose of course but yeah takes seconds to wip a batch of mud up using the mixer

    What grit for the sandpaper?

      I use 120 grit or the fine sanding sponges for drywall

    The only Easy 5 Min Sand is UnAvailable for 100 miles at our Home Depot.Is Silver Set 90 Beadex, Ok to use for the same purpose?

      Yes that will work it just has a longer working time then the 5 minute

      Hey! its pretty much the same process except you will probably need a piece of drywall mesh tape or paper tape folded down the middle and applied with the mud. good video idea might have to do that

    Is the taping knife you use actually 12 inches? My dog did a very similar sized number on the wall and I’m trying to figure out what size taping knife is best.

      Hey I didnt realize i had the wrong size i believe the one im using here is actually an 8 inch. 12 will work as well . I will update my link thanks for letting me know!

      In this job i didnt have to they were going to replace the trim but I actually just filmed a similar repair on wood im going to try and post the video soon. I used Durhams water putty

      @@BryanBuilt Great I can't wait to see it. My dogs separation anxiety did a number on the wood panel and wall. I will get the items you used and I feel pretty confident I can do it. How do you paint it to make it look like nothing happened? A seamless application?

      @@nymia1977 maybe the color name i think benjamin moore has a colornamed linen white. If you can find out the brand you can get it matched . Also make sure the sheen is the same

    Can you use spackle in place of the joint compound

      You probably could for some repairs . Spackle is mainly for smaller dings and holes i prefer joint compound for anything bigger then 1-2 inches
