I run mine on a A520M board and am thoroughly impressed at how this bad boy is hitting 5.2ghz on 4 cores and 4.9 on 2 cores on stock. I can't really do much messing around with this mobo but will watch it anyway
Other notes: ofc enable XMP(DOCP) profile if you haven't. You can also enable Precision Boost Overdrive (via BIOS or software) for a pretty hefty FPS increase (though note this is overclocking and may cause system instability) - e.g. I was getting 90fps in LoL and enabling PBO took me to 125. This made the game feel considerably smoother and reduced input 'lag'.
Great tip. Furthermore, AMD warranty does not support overclocking. People doing this should be very mindful of that if crashes or even system failure occur.

Hey my motherboard Bios only shows up to 2GB option in the vram settings (frame buffer size). I use a B4500 AII, can anyone recommend a not so expensive motherboard that allows +2GB?
I’ve always been confused on this subject. If I have a dedicated card now, but still use the Ryzen 5 5600g as my cpu do I need any of the software or drivers?
How do I turn on Multi-threaded rendering on bios since I play valorant in integrated graphics, and it the 'Multi-threaded rendering, on or off' doesnt show up. I also have the same CPU RYZEN 5 5600G
I have a 5600G (Vega 7) , Asus tuf b550m-e wifi and 2x8GB 3200Mhz CL18 It says: "Total Available Graphics Memory: 8344MB Dedicated Video Memory: 512MB System Video Memory: 0MB Shared System Memory: 7832MB" So...Am I allowed to somehow add to the 512MB VRAM in BIOS? Cause I understand it as that being the only VRAM for my games?
I spent several hours testing the different BIOS settings, I discovered that with XMP off it shows the right amount of VRAM example 16GB with 14 available (when you select 2GB in bios to VRAM). But I also tried setting with XMP off, VRAM to 512MB and BAR on, the result was VRAM showing 512MB, but in game RAM usage was higher almost by de difference between VRAM settings (~1.5GB). Then I also tried to set XMP on, BAR on, 2GB VRAM. Result was 16GB with 15.4 available (like it was set to 512MB VRAM) and in game RAM usage was higher (feeling like GPU was using CPU RAM). Then I noticed that in the video (like in 2:34 ) the VRAM also was showing like it was set to 512MB, and CPU RAM usage was really high, also he is using XMP. In all my tests game performance was the same, so my guess is that with XMP enabled, VRAM is set to 512MB, but the VEGA can use the CPU RAM by BAR, Smart Access Memory or some other witchcraft (LOL). Fun fact: With BAR disabled, VRAM set to 512MB, it also uses more RAM (possibly because Radeon software changes BIOS settings or communicates with the CPU and APU). Also same FPS. So my conclusion was that I should turn XMP and 4G decode on, and the rest doesn't really matters (but I set BAR on and VRAM to 2GB anyway for peace of mind). If I'm wrong someone please correct me!
Update: with 64MB VRAM game runs the same and CPU RAM usage is even higher It is impossible that Project Cars 3 would run at 60+ FPS with only 64MB VRAM. So don't bother what your system says, turn XMP on and game on.
Courtesy notice to anyone who can still make the change: I can't enable the Resize Bar option myself since my SSD is formatted as MBR type instead of GPT. This means I can't turn on UEFI for my boot option, I must have CSM as my boot option. I understand that it's a hassle to change the format of my drive to GPT so I just won't do it now, but in the future I will make sure my drives are GPT.

Depending on your motherboard you don't need a previous gen CPU to flash the bios. A lot of them B-450, B-550, and X-570 motherboards (Aorus and MSI especially) just let you flash to the latest version without a CPU attached, via USB flash drive with bios file on it.Took me like 5 minutes to do on my MSI B-550 Mag Tomahawk motherboard.
Technically, yes. But as long as you find a resource that shows simple, reasonable, conservative overclock settings for your exact processor/RAM, you should be fine. Honestly, for RAM, simply enabling SMP will help a lot and for most people is probably enough. In my opinion, BIOS are not to be feared, but rather respected and appreciated for what they allow us to do. Use common sense and don't change a setting unless you understand what it will do.

there's no harm to do this right ??
My pc crashed and doesn’t work anymore I turned on the 4gb option and the thing below it
Pls help
just try to flash bios with a button behind your pc.
I changed my UMA setting to 4gb but it is still showing 512 mb in task manager ........Please suggest a solution (AMD 5600G, B550m gigabyte and 16 Ram)...
I guess you didn't save the settings.
isn't rebar only supported on gen.4 pcie?
I want to get a 5600G but I'd need to get rid of the CPU I'd need to flash the bios to get the money to buy it...
Depending on your motherboard you don't need a previous gen CPU to flash the bios. A lot of them B-450, B-550, and X-570 motherboards (Aorus and MSI especially) just let you flash to the latest version without a CPU attached, via USB flash drive with bios file on it.Took me like 5 minutes to do on my MSI B-550 Mag Tomahawk motherboard.
just a curious question, what if I did something wrong, will it destroy my cpu?
Technically, yes. But as long as you find a resource that shows simple, reasonable, conservative overclock settings for your exact processor/RAM, you should be fine. Honestly, for RAM, simply enabling SMP will help a lot and for most people is probably enough. In my opinion, BIOS are not to be feared, but rather respected and appreciated for what they allow us to do. Use common sense and don't change a setting unless you understand what it will do.
Does enabling XMP void my warranty?
nope, nor for the dimms nor for the mobo
tx bro got 30 fps on csgo
Sir I am gonna buy msi Mpg gaming plus b550 motherboard will it be good or I should go with msi mag mortar b550
You'll get a lot more FPS if you upgrade that memory, I'm using 32GB of 3600 that I picked up in the US for $80.
When I put UMA Frame Buffer Size to 4G. My system doesnt boot up.to windows? I have a 16gb of RAM too. Thanks guys.
try lowering it/adding more ram
I'm sorry I'm not good in english. For clarification does this mean that if O have a 8gbx2 ram can I set it to 8gb frame buffer size or only at 4gb
Just leave in on auto. You will have no problems
How much vram should I allocate to igpu if I've
2x 8gb 3200mhz ram?
same here, I put 3GB and it is working just fine for me
@@hagneroliveira2415 i am using it at auto (512mb) but don't know why in gta v graphic settings vram is available upto 8 gb.
@@hagneroliveira2415 even after changing it from auto to 2Gb it was still 8gb (7.8gb in actual). And then i restored it back to auto.
@@Saurav.K that's weird, but if it works well then there's no problem I guess
@@hagneroliveira2415 Yeah its working good.
As the convo is going on then I would like to ask that at what speed your memory/ram is working and what the actual frequency is? Mine are 2x 8gb 3200mhz but running at base speed of 2666

If i have resize bar (on/off) i need to do the next steps?
Have u ever encountered after boot up. Minutes later, the pc starts to glitch or freeze displays weird artifacts on the screen. Only way to do is to restart the pc. Then after the restart the radeon driver is gone on the system and have to reinstall it again. Just wondering
Hello! Does this work for a 4650G too or are there another steps that I should follow?
4650G is locked pretty sure you can't rlly do much
how do i even get to where he is at the beginning
When your pc is booting, press and hold F2, or del, or another Functin key, (it depends on your motherboard brand). Then, you will be able to access BIOS
