Power isn't the problem, traction is.
It would need to weigh as much as the monster truck tho
@@snapped4433 i would consider a planetary gear system for that and ,that rc if somehow is placed on a location where it can support 1/3rd of the truck's weight it may work.
@@snapped4433 I don’t think it has to be that heavy. A Tug pulls airplanes around a tarmac and they don’t weigh close to a 747 or other large jets. It’s the traction that matters.

Hey Kevin, Speed suggestion: Don't cut the rear wheel arches out. On speed challenge vehicles they are often enclosed for further reduced air resistance. They omit these on street super cars because you can't change the tires. But you can just remove the body when you need. At 200 every little bit counts.

Ever since they released the max4 I always thought it would be amazing to see a dual setup in the worlds longest RC car.
Do yourself a favour, Kev: get a drill press! Even a small bench model and a vice will make drilling much easier, safer, and more accurate.

I'd be so happy with a cheap drift car or RC, the stuff you guys got are insane. Wish I had something to play with like anyone of your RCs 😩
WLToys 144001 or the others based on the sane platform are about $100 but great value. Get around 30mph out of the box. You can also upgrade as you go along. Got to be a bit more careful with them though as they aren't as durable as big name brand 1/10 size cars. But still loads of fun and you can fix whatever does break.

Should probably look at some online tyre slippage calculators to get an idea of what speed you really need to gear for so that you are not disappointed with your run. Its suprising just how much slippage there is at speed.

I’m still loving my X Maxx 8s. Based off your recommendation to go big or go home. I have only had to replace tires in over 1.5 years of moderate abuse. I got some spares now too. It does have a zip tie holding the wheelie bar in the correct position “driver error”. Budgeting for a parts order now. Shock towers likely a good buy also for me. I purchased the blx senton after the video with stimp trying to kill it. Thanks for doing what you love Kev. I was inspired to start my own business and it has been life changing. I didn’t do eBay or try and copy a RUclips channel. I simply figured out what I enjoy and I’m good at. After watching you do what you love and being entertained all the while. I want to say thanks for being you! Congrats on the monster truck! Stay true to yourself Kev. Maybe I shouldn’t be inspired this much buy a RUclips personality but I am and I am not ashamed. -Paul

Hey Kevin, I wanted to suggest you a super powerful motor that we use in huge robots to move them extremely fast ( FRC), the motor is called the Falcon 500 and I don't know if its better than what you have but maybe its worth a try?
oooh man that's a big fella, almost 260 amps?? At this point Kevin should just have a Fab shop for parts and order specific parts he needs. He totally gutted out this car and others for mods (I guess it's cheaper to just order the whole car and not worry about parts).

That was deceptively fast. I was thinking maybe 55 - 60mph, due to how planted and stable it was. That bodes well!
Kev before you do a speed run try and warm up the tires before you do the speed run. You can do a burnout but you loose rubber so there is tire warmers that you can buy that will help control the car at higher speeds.

It might actually be helpful if you do a small burnout before you do a run because the heat should make the tires a bit more sticky and provide a bit more grip, A few practice runs should also heat up the tires a bit too.
Sorry to say, but if he needs any tire grip to speak of, then the place where he is trying to set the record will never be sufficient. 200mph+ is no joke, the car needs to be almost entirely free from "outside forces" and corrections.
depends on the tires, because depending on material the car may degrad to much which gives less grip, NGL, I'm confused why he isn't using rubber slicks, because if the rubber is soft enough it will grip better while also having less degradation. Plus he can also make better use of Aero and ground effects, he isn't using venturi tunnels to generate downforce, because venturi tunnels reduce drag, plus then he can also get rid of the wing, the wing is useless because it has no angle.
He was only testing there it plenty more to come from this project and he knows this
