If companies like Mattel gave accurate and reliable info about releases, rumors wouldn’t run wild. The product distribution model needs to be improved as well because they could sell more and make fans happier if the dolls were more accessible.
If the doll companies were able to be open and honest about releases that would be a start. I understand the monster high social media accounts try and use words like “boo” and “creep” to stay on brand, but it can lead to miscommunication. It would be nice to have an offical account that is accurate information, about release dates, manufacturing problems, etc. not to take away the hype from the usual posts, but to clarify to fans what is actually happening.
@@MissTaniaMusic I don't know who you are responding to but I tried getting them and they sold out in less than a minute. They never came anywhere near me and they sold out on the net before I could get them.
Thank you for speaking for ALL Monster High fans overseas! Mattel should know there are MH fans everywhere who can't purchase their exclusive dolls for all sorts of reasons (online, shippement, TVA etc...) and release them in store in order fans can get them.
Of course!! MOST of my friends live Overseas. MukiToons, Actiosee, KatyBahm etc. and they always post how they can't get the new dolls anywhere. Im tired of them having to pay $100+ for shipping and THEN get charged for customs too! There has to be a better way for all of you who are outside the USA.
It’s not just Mattel, every US company is like this! It’s so anger inducing, I’m so jealous of US MH fans who already have, like, 10 G3 dolls while I’m still waiting for a release date here in the UK
@@Clawdeena9 Not to forget that as an Aussie, I have to sit up till something like 4am to get doll drops on Mattel Creations. I sometimes wonder if the US even realises there are other countries out here.
@@PaintSplashProductions You can just buy them on Amazon. It'll come out cheaper than when they officially come out anyway. I'm from Poland and I just ordered them on Amazon as well since I know that if they do come out they will be even more expensive due to all the taxes.
As someone who has collected Monster High since their first release, all the way back at around 2011, I can sadly say as a Dane that the community does not give a flying flipflop about international fans even in the international groups. When we used to speak up about the lack of Walmart and Target exclusives making it over here we mostly just got Americans replying "Get over it" or "lol just get in on ebay" as if we could afford scalper prices easily... we do many degrees got bullied out of the groups when it came to this and it was super toxic, and this comes from someone who was in 99% of all big Facebook groups. The US fans did not care about us one bit, at least not most of them. So seeing a fellow fan, speak up for us like this, actually took me aback, thank you for that Clawdeena9, not a lot of people cares for us at all in the community as long as they themselves had access to the dolls easily.
Firstly, wow, I can only imagine how frustrating it is to have your experience completely invalidated like that constantly. When you've been supporting a franchise from the very beginning, it only makes sense to want the same access to the product as everyone else. It shocks me to hear how dismissive people have been over this issue because even in the US people are frustrated with scalpers! How could they tell you to go to scalpers when we don't want to go to them either?! There has to be a better solution or at least an explanation on how they're working towards fixing this issue. Do you collect MGA products as well?
@@Clawdeena9 as someone from the central Europe I can say that we get lol and rainbow high dolls here, prices are double or triple (when our average wage is around 800 USD per month!!) So it's hard to collect them here because of the price point (sales are not really a thing here) but they're here!!! Usually 3 to 6 months after they are released in the US, but they are!!
Like every community, there are always toxic people who ruin it unfortunately. As an American, I apologize on behalf of all the asshats here :( Im sorry.
I’m gonna give a weird complaint but I’d like more international audience recognition so I can stop having to explain to parents at work that no you will not be able to get your child a monster high doll without having it shipped from the US at a ridiculous price and will not find it in a store. Not to be massively ageist but the average mother over 40 does not comprehend that a doll line they used to buy for their eldest is no long available in local toy stores and hasn’t been for years no matter how much your youngest claims the internet told them so. Kids get their information online heavily from America and as far as monster high goes it’s just a nuisance. I’m a collector and I can’t get hold of them. Never mind the average British parent.
I totally agree! What has made me wonder as a Scandinavian, is how so many collectors sell US ONLY. I am aware some countries that are third world are a bit sketchy at some things but I have been told by so many that Americans think EU are filled with corrupt mail services. Don't get me wrong parcels can get lost, like in any country but like there is this misconception that it's not safe. Like its the same trip to the mailoffice as it is with sending it to another state, and it's not as if you can go to that other state if you get scammed and fix it any easier. The Danish postal system has their deliveres monitored with GPS constatly. They have camera in the delivery trucks, and in the warehouses, and far more strict shipment tracking. They do NOT just leave packages that are insured, on doorsteps like in the US, plus we have far lower package theft or just garden propert theft than in most countries world wide, we're also no. 1 least corrupt, and you litterally have to sign for packages or have a certain chosen program signed at the postal office for them to leave it at the door called Reciever-flex where you sign off all of the postal services responsibility if the package is stolen at the door, and this the US postal also get notified off. but without it they will not leave it unattended and our customerservice doesn't just ask you to make the sender take responsibility, they will litterally start a whole case both for sender and reciever. I know american friends that have lost more packages in a few months than i have lost my whole life, and i have bought a LOT over the last 15 years. I have only permanently lost 2 packages, from Japan, in my entire adult life as a 34 year old woman, that wasn't found and retrived. Had maybe 3 go lost but they were really just delayed and it was during the holidays. So i wish if american collectors had to scalp/horde dolls for trading in the hobby they would at least consider opening more up to worldwide, and i know it's not something i can demand as it's their items and they can do with what they want, but I just don't get why so many does this, if the international buyer is willing to pay the extra shipment fee, our postal system is not worse, it's as far as i can see often better than US royal mail, and i have never lost packages my friends sent me from the US. Im not saying they have to do this, or are bad for not doing it but those that buy bundles of the same for trading i do wish would make it more fair for international collecters and be more open to helping out. I helped a ton of Monster high collectors, as we got the dolls a few weeks delayed from the US, so by the time they got here i knew which ones would be hard to get, and i would get one or two extra to help out other collectors, world wide. Rarely did i see that help in return sadly. Which made it even more sucky when Target exclusives etc. never got to my country. I couldn't even trade some of my rare for theirs as they often did not want to send it to me. Even if i offered to take full chance responsibility of it being lost, and pay with no refundable measures (which i wont do anymore because scammers are in full action in the hobby now, it wasn't so bad back then.) alas :( it sucks to be a non-us collector 99% of the time and it is so disheartening.
It is so frustrating here in the UK, I am constantly getting excited for the latest mattel dolls, and then they either never show up here, or they are ridiculously priced and its just been getting worse. Its so disheartening 😔
Can you imagine how smaller countries like Latvia feel that there are not even a mention of the new dolls? I still haven't seen the reboot dolls neither in stores or online. I'm really hoping that I will get lucky to get at least one doll from MH
yeah, ive not seen anything of monster high at all here, not even g3. Its so frustrating and honestly at this point I've completely given up on them. I remember googling every day to try find if I was just missing something.
Thank you for talking about us international fans! I live in Asia, and I haven’t seen any monster high dolls in stores ever since g1 was discontinued. I had to pay 75 dollars for each creeproduction doll, and I bought a reel drama doll for 65 dollars from my Amazon but it’s been so hard to pay off for them. 😕
I had to pay around 80 bucks for each doll too 😭😭 and not even counting the price from the PO Box (which was like 10 extra bucks for every single doll)
I’m so glad someone finally mentioned how countries outside of the US struggle to get dolls. It comes to a point where we want to give up, because even if u go to the official website they don’t have any information on release dates outside of the US. Leaving fans wondering if they’ll ever be able to actually see the doll in person.
This! I literally have had to beg people i know to buy ONE DOLL for me in the US because i give up on trying anything else. So frustrating because i have such a big g1 collection from when i was a kid and now I can’t even see a new mh doll in person…
Honestly I feel that with Monster High Mattel is really letting fans down. It’s not fun when you can’t buy any dolls. It’s just frustrating and depressing. 😢
I'm still genuinely frustrated about the creeproductiion dolls, I saved up so I could get the full set for myself and a set for my little niece as a Christmas present, but I couldn't get any thanks to the scalpers, now that money I saved to buy 8 dolls can barely get me 2 with the prices the scalpers are charging. I think it is outrageous that we need to beg Mattel to let us give them money, just stock the dolls so we can buy them! I really wanted to do a "Halloween for Christmas" theme
Same here! I told myself I was going to save up and get the reel drama dolls for myself for Christmas but ig not now. It’s so disappointing. I hope you can find some cheaper ones for you and your niece!
I'm honestly so tired of how Mattel treats overseas fans as someone from east Europe i feel like we don't exist to them. We got no dates for G3 Monster High dolls (as for my country not whole Europe) and we even barley get any other doll line from them i can't even find Barbies in stores anymore everything stores has seems to be leftovers. It's so sad to see because other doll companies doesn't do that to us, LOL, Mermaidz and Rainbow High are all easily available along with any special editions, i can go to store and get newly released line with no problems but if i want anything Mattel i need to order from overseas and i'm obviously not going to pay 50$+ fees for a shipping. I just don't understand this it's like they do that on purpose because i don't believe massive corporations is having problems with import when everyone else seems to be doing just fine.
I feel you bruh. Here in Croatia finding dolls can be a challenge and there's no available info on line releases so you can never be sure if the store just ran out of packages or if they'll be discontinued. We finally got shadow high like a few weeks ago. God knows when we'll see monster high lol.
Hi! I'm saying this as someone who actually lives in the U.S and even I'm still having trouble getting the dolls. I have never seen a reproduction doll or reel drama doll EVER at any of my stores. Recently g3 has been popping up everywhere. Ordering offline is super hard for me aswell and it kinda makes me upset that stores aren't putting stuff up or even better getting shipments! I hope all this stuff gets worked out and I can maybe get a chance at having at least one
I work in a store and I have seen that some dolls get more shipments making overstock compared to the ones who sell quickly. Like ex draculaura sells a lot but when get more shipments of frankie of clawdeen
@@timeea.i19 literally my situation rn. even worse, its always such a hassle to get to them and it almost always is a waste of time bc they rarely have any monster high dolls.
Honestly, all this drama about MH fans overseas not getting any of the creeproduction or reel drama dolls just continues to prove to me that some people and companies forget that there are countries outside of the States and, sometimes, Canada. And those countries are full of fans- old and new- that want to buy Mattel's products. The tweet they sent out was so incredibly cryptic which makes no sense at all because if you have thousands of people coming to you panicking, don’t you want to clear everything up? Just a simple yes or no would’ve sufficed. Mattel is great for keeping fans engaged, but when it comes to answering questions they really suck. The only reel drama dolls that I saw on shelves were at the Toys R Us I work at, and in one day we sold out of Draculaura and almost all the Frankie’s. I hope that they aren’t canceled because it’s not like no one bought them or wanted them. I think it would be a ridiculously stupid move of Mattel to cancel a line when it’s barely gotten off the ground. We were supposed to only start selling the reel drama dolls on November first, but sold them a week before. That email came on the 7th. Not even a month and Mattel seems to be saying "Sorry, didn’t realize how many people wanted to get their childhood’s back. This is way too much pressure and stress for us to make more even though we have the materials and want from customers so we’re gonna just discontinue the whole line. Sorry the other half of the world. Kinda forgot you guys even existed".
I don’t get this suddenly neglect from Mattel about overseas fans. I’m saving for a possible trip to Canada next year (if I manage to save the needed amount with this crazy inflation in Europe) and I’m considering buying one of them there if I make it. Although they’re really pricey over there compared to the US. Almost 50 CA$ 😭😭😭. They used to sell MH here in Portugal until 2 years ago. Probably the last in stock. Should have bought them at the time. But I really wanted a real drama. But earning less than 800€ a month, it’s impossible to afford a doll from a reseller for almost 200€ . Even considered asking a friend that went to Brazil to get me one lol. But converting to euros they’re still pricey. Plus they’re only sold in big cities there and she went to a smaller town.
As someone who has lost my many dolls due to unfortunate circumstances I just really want the original dolls back for anyone to buy at any time- they know everyone would love getting originals back and they could make big money out of sales due to not only kids but adults buying them for nostalgic reasons. Don’t get me wrong I love the g3 dolls and their new diverse molds but I would literally beg to have an g1 clawdeen doll. I just want to see them back on shelves 😭.
I hate how mattel sells these dolls now.. overprices and nearly unbuyable. Seeing some dolltubers or generally people getting them for free is so hearbreaking… especially when they don’t speak up about the mistakes. I get it i want dolls for free too and that’s not the bad part but the bad part is that i can’t even get them by paying because they aren’t available here in stores + as you said yes i could order but they sell out in 5 minutes or less with horrific shipping cost. And scalpers are a big problem mattel seems avoiding… don’t you want your products to be respected? You’re just letting people sell them with a higher profit than you get because you can’t provide for international fans. Maybe my collection is quite small compared to people online but i was one of your biggest fans for monster high mattel and you’re disappointing me
This makes me so sad as a youngish collector I can usually only get dolls in stores and them going out of stock like everywhere breaks my heart I don't have any collector dolls I only have original dolls and when I saw the reel drama dolls in stores my heart literally exploded but I couldn't buy them so I really hope they have them in time for Christmas btw love your videos
I’m Australian and I just received my Haunt Couture Cleo a few days ago!!! Mattel took well over month to even ship it out, and I honestly have a feeling they prioritise US orders… I had tried contacting them multiple times because I didn’t know if they would even ship out my order or not and I wasn’t responded to for MONTHS. When Haunt Couture Lagoona released I decided it wasn’t worth the money if I didn’t know if I’d even receive her
glad to know i'm not the only one dealing with this... I haven't even received my Haunt Couture Cleo!!! I ordered her from Mattel Creations too, I sent an email and luckily they replied with a tracking URL. she was the first doll I ordered from Mattel Creations since I really wanted Cleo, but I can guarantee that this will be the last time I order from that website ever again, they are very unprofessional.
Not really, they only cater to certain states. Mostly the big ones like Cali or New York since they are big places. I’ve seen most of their in store stock in South America.
Something that is fascinating to me about dolls and shipping is that, it kinda depends if the country's population has enough money. For example. I live in Czech and can get my hands on almost any RH doll but because money is big issue I can't really afford them - and so can't others = they don't go out of stock. UK for example is very very tough when it comes to dolls. People there are more likely to buy them so if you miss out (cough Ainsley) too bad. Restocks are rare. Why am I mentioning all this? Because Mattel really pisses me off. MGA gets the dolls out eventually. Its tough. But honestly they've been doing good job while Mattel really ignores fans in Europe etc... I'm just rambling and no one will read this. But hey I felt like ranting a bit.
Thank you for mentioning us overseas. We haven’t seen a single doll from g3 yet and shipping and taxes is not affordable. Also I miss the days I could buy collector Barbies in toys r us. We are seeing toy shops like smyths here saying the basic dolls are arriving early 2023 now but I would just love all the collector dolls sold here too
Of course! Im honestly shocked there hasn't been MORE people talking about collectors outside the USA. Its the most common comment among most of us creators. I heard Smyths should be getting G3 in December but I know sometimes that isn't 100%. I remember back in 2011 places like Argos would get Monster High dolls FIRST even BEFORE the US. I don't know what happened!
Ghoul I will ALWAYS love you for keeping it real. SO many MH channels have started saying only positive things so they can have free merch from mattel 💀
God, I get so hyped when I see that you have an upcoming video. I’ve been watching your content since 2012/2013 and it’s so amazing to see how far you’ve come!!
Im used to this- I live in ireland and we never get dolls, Even the g3 basic dolls arent coming to stores till early 2023 And they cost more They are an extra 10 €/$
I hate hearing that finding new dolls has been so difficult for you, I really hope there's ways we can change this or make it more accessible/affordable.
@@Clawdeena9 as a monster high influencer couldn’t you bring this up with Mattel. I know it isn’t that easy but you most have some contact with them if they send you free product and send you to events
I'm feeling sad abt this now I didn't know it was THIS hard for fans like myself overseas either have to pay lots of money to get the dolls or they don't see them at all until much MUCH later, I hope as a community we can get Mattel to start being mindful of their international fans so everyone can get the dolls they want
I live in America and the only Monster High doll we've gotten where I live was the creeproduction Frankie. I have a friend who works at the Walmart in my town (which is the only place that would sell Monster High dolls here) so it's not a case of me just missing the other dolls.
Thanks for actually speaking about fans overseas. There is a lot of problems with the dollar rate which makes the dolls extremely expensive and since Mattel (as far as I know) does not ship to stores in my country, paying for the price of the dolls, tax, and shipping is honestly stressful and there is no guarantee that I might just get scammed or something happens to my package on its way.
Wow. I’ve been hoping to save up for some of the Reel Dramas and keeping an eye on their Amazon listings, but dang, now I’d feel bad if I actually got one. On a lighter note from all this business drama, I always find it very satisfying when creators have pick favorites from their own characters.
I’m an Aussie fan and it really annoys me how little dolls we get here. My mum wanted the Reel Drama Clawdeen bc she loves her and the colour purple, she ended up paying $140aud on Amazon for her but it was literally our only option. With Gen3 we only got the main 5, no Toralei, no Ghoulia and no Deuce. We even *have* Target here and we still didn’t get Ghoulia and the dolls are so limited, it was nearly impossible to get them
Same here! They haven't restocked the G3 dolls where I live (South QLD) and I was lucky that my mum bought me G3 Draculara and G3 Clawdeen in Big W. I've been speaking up but it feels like my voice never gets heard because I don't have a massive platform. They never even brought the reproduction dolls here.
@LilChan Dreams ikr? And you can't order any of the collector edition ghouls or the holiday drac. I've missed the collector drac holiday drac and the reel drama drac😭 these dolls were my whole childhood and it's impossible to get
The only way we here in Brazil could get the creeproduction and reel drama dolls, it's because >one< major toy retailer import them and they were very limited, I had to pre-order my Draculaura so I could get her, because they sold out on the same day... I mean, if they weren't wanting to sale MH here, we could've never got them in hands!
Mattel’s response can be taken two ways; either there will be more reel dolls, or they were saying that Other dolls will be coming out. I tend to think that means reel drama Is actually discontinued 😞
I heard that Smyths will be getting the G3 dolls in December. This could be wrong so don't quote me, but I want to find out more and make a video on it!
honestly as a kid from asia who now adores monster high, this saddens me alot :(( i've always wanted booriginal creeproduction draculaura because i never had the monster high experience in my childhood before, but the price and shipping cost in amazon are so high up the ass you know for a fact my parents are fainting at the sight of them. and scalpers aren't helping too, their prices are also high and it's just unobtainable at this point. im also not really a big fan of walmart and target exclusives knowing that they're only obtainable in the us T^T and it even has some dolls that i want like abbey. im just disappointed really and they could make more money if they could sell the dolls on an international scale. once im older im planning to move to the us just so i could have the dolls it's just sad
They also cancelled my Howliday Draculaura doll in the middle of me confirming my order. Like surely if I’m checking out then I should have that doll reserved? No?
wow i feel so lucky that my reel drama draculaura from entertainment earth even shipped! i preordered her super late in the game. mattel is such a mess right now with monster high. the howliday draculaura and creeproduction dolls being the worst imo. i have NEVER seen the creeproduction dolls in stores anywhere, i checked for weeks and missed all the preorders because they were SUPPOSED to be in stores. after that disaster i said F it ill be preordering most. im kicking myself for not buying resell creeproduction when they were like 50, now theyre over 100 :/ but i was convinced they would be in stores like they were supposed to be. but then they announced that howliday would be available at stores and even provided direct links!?? and then she never released anywhere and while i was lucky enough to be one of the people who was able to preorder her on mattel creations it sold out in 2 minutes and so many people i know were unable to get one. she wasnt supposed to be limited and all mattel keeps saying is "keep checking in the coming weeks!!" bestie she is NEVER going to the stores dont even bother. why do they keep lying? i have a serious problem with that. the G1 styled dolls are obviously high in demand, why are they being so... limiting with them but saying they're going to be widely available like G3?
So I'm a British fan and I haven't seen a doll irl for at least 6 or 7 years, and I checked Smyth's Toys Superstore for literally anything to do with the franchise - somehow they have the g3 stuff scheduled for stock (which I'm happy about, I adore Draculaura's new design), but not until 2023 ;_____; so there's at least something across the pond to look forward to
I always thought that of Mattel, they’re horrible with getting product out and replenishing items online as well. MGA always gets product out way faster. I swear I didn’t see a single monster high doll out on a shelf and then of course it sells out online. It makes me not want to collect because why tf does it gotta be so hard for.
I'm so upset about the reel drama dolls, because they never came to stores like Mattel said they would. So I never had a chance to get them. And now they're going for 50 dollars or more each.
I just wanted Reel Drama Frankie and getting the cancel notice from EE was so upsetting.. I remember being on your livestream when you told us EE had them lol
I woke up crying when I saw that the Reel Drama Ghouls were sold out. It was my first time that I was able to get a collector MH doll and I didn’t know they would sell out that fast. I was so excited when Mattel said that they might be restocking them or putting them in stores, but were I lived that didn’t happen, and now I have to pay $100+ dollars to get one. It is so upsetting to me how Mattel is doing all of these releases but not taking their fans into consideration when it comes to stock, prices, availability/shipping, and scalpers. Should Skullector dolls still be limited time, yes that adds to the excitement, but I also think that they need to try and have them available for longer. And as for the stock of the dolls, Mattel should know by now how quickly these dolls sell out and how many people aren’t able to get them because of that, so they REALLY need to keep that in mind when producing them. One thing they should keep though is the limit to how many dolls someone can buy. Lastly (this sounds like an essay lmao), everyone in a different country or anyone who hasn’t been able to get their hands on a doll period, I really do hope you get every doll that you ever dreamed of. Hopefully Mattel will get it together and figure something out. Love you all 💕
So I've searched stores near me for the creeproduction and real drama dolls, so that I could even just see them. But they have never shown up!! Like at all, no shelf tags, no dolls, absolutely nothing. A few sparse g3 dolls showed up the day before launch, and now there is a pretty stead supply. But like I've never once seen a creeproduction or real drama irl. It's really sad that no one can get these dolls because of scalpers.
I love hearing ideas about accessibly for overseas fans of anything honestly , I pay RIDICULOUS amounts of shipping to collect stuff from Korea and Japan , basically like doubling the price of the item That being said, I really hope the international Monster High fans can start getting better access ! For Korean / Japanese merch we often do group orders to help with shipping Wishing everyone luck ! Mattel come on ? Like you aren't a massive massive brand
Hi Clawdeena, thank you very much for speaking for the fans overseas 🥰 I'm European MH fan that was collecting the dolls since I was a little child so these dolls give me that sense of nostalgia and just overall vibe and quality of them is what got me interested in MH in the first place. That being said, I'm tad bit sad and disappointed that I can't really purchase any of the new dolls or buy them at reasonable price. Love your channel 💞
I have been watching for a year or more I think and I really like your videos especially your monster high one's because they are so entertaining and it's fun to watch someone with the same common interests like ever after high, monster high and rainbow high etc And the premieres get me more hyped lol 😆 😅 It's amazing to see how your videos improve 👏 👏 👏 And let me just say the cosplays are amazing 10/10
Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful message! It inspires me to evolve my content more and more. What are some Rainbow High or MH videos you'd like to see from me?
I'd love to see some characters you think should get made into a doll! Or maybe a concept that Mattel should consider making into a doll. Like the shadow ghouls from 13 wishes. Maybe rating the dolls or doll lines?
What’s crazy is I never saw neither the creeproductions nor the reel drama dolls and I check 9 different Walmarts and 3 super targets on both separate launches and nothing. It truly sucks
I'm from Asia and yes it's so hard to get monster high doll here, I adore MH so much bcz it's been apart of my childhood, telling me to love my freaky flaws..
I live in California and we never got any of the creeproductions either. Some maybe but most never did. I was so saddened bc I was so looking forward to them. Unfortunately I'll never get my hands on one with these scalper prices at 300 dollars for ONE doll
I live in the USA so I sadly can’t speak for those out in the international communities…, however my town, we just recently got the g3 main series displayed out in stores!! I tried looking online in said stores for the Reel Dramas but they are literally $100! The only way I got one by ordering through Amazon for the cheapest I could find, $50… still waiting on it- said to come in on December 2nd. Amazon guaranteed my payment, so let’s hope it goes well. I loved monster high since a kid so now as an adult I would love to purchase a bunch of dolls of my favorite character, Draculaura. Honestly I can’t even imagine how sad it is to be told a possible discontinuation especially to people who even didn’t hear about it till after those dolls selling in 2 minutes and especially to those who couldn’t even get one but tried! Reality is a cruel stage… 😢 Update: They literally cancelled it without a word, checking my orders. If not just says I ordered a plush and not the doll- how sad is that?
I remember voting! I, too, hope Gory will become a doll. There are so many background characters from the movies/webisodes that I wish would become dolls. What about Andy from Skull Shores????
Alright, let me explain how stocking works outside the US. (Source: I asked a toy store employee who explained.) The toy stores order from distribution companies who in turn order dolls from the manufacturers and they don't work for free. The stock price without bulk ordering is the USRP from two very big distribution companies (one stocks Mattel, the other MGA). If a store can order more stock (like with central ordering systems) they get bulk discounts which can push the in-store prices down to roughly USRP, including taxes as well. But then what about sales? Again, the distribution companies don't work for free and they also want to make a profit. On top of that, at least 16% of the price in the EU is tax. So then, what about amazon? Dolls sold by amazon are ordered directly from the manufacturers in bulk (no distribution companies needed). Taxes are still at least 16% (yes included in the price you see).
In Victoria Australia we literally only got the first lot g3 dolls last week and it was like trying to find diamonds!! Each store only got like five of each doll!! Being a doll collector in Aus is really hard 😭
They were gone in every store near me and online in both big w & Kmart within a week of arriving. I found 1 Lagoona in big w for $47 which is a terrible deal compared to RH, SH & LOL!
As someone from Germany, its just so frustrating that we have to pay EVEN MORE exorbitant prices for the collector dolls. 94€ + 15€ shipping for ONE haunt couture doll. Im so sick and tired of Americans telling me that "I should just except it" or "it's normal that you have to pay more" and "we are struggling too" yes, I know MH dolls are also hard to get in America but at least you get some of them thru target and other America exclusive stores, also not everytime a European complains about our problems you have to make everything about yourself. I didn't even had the chance to try and get a reel drama doll since they released at a time where I was at school. The Collector dolls are for ALL Collectors so we should be paying the same price for Mattel Creations dolls. The retail dolls that come to here are also triple the price if they come at all. Ive never seen a MH doll since 2014 on shelves and the newest releases do not even come to stores here. Almost every scalper is based in America so for scalper prices we have to pay even 30€ more for shipping. (ALSO NEVER BUY FROM SCALPERS IT JUST WORSENS THE PROBLEM)
As a Newcomer collector from Germany I want to thank you so much for addressing the issue of purchasing some dolls from major brands when you're outside the US. I understand when small companies aren't prepared to ship worldwide especially with all the different import fees, but it's Mattel we're talking about.
As an international fan I was so excited to get the creeproduction lagoona cuz she is my fav core doll however I was so sad when they were only on Amazon for $300+ and she was removed so quick also she was the only core doll I didn't have and I had so much hope because they had international packaging but didn't appear in my country 😔
This has been the case with us in Hungary for years. From the Ever After High dolls, we haven't received even the old ones since the Spring Unsprung collection. It is very disturbing. Therefore many of us had to order them from abroad at ridiculous prices with other Monster High dolls too.
I'm a Nigerian MH fan and I have never seen a Monster High doll in store. I don't know whether it's national retail rejecting them or Mattel not reaching out. Barbie is still here so I don't know why Monster High is not here.
To be honest, the dolls were sold at the local scarefest in my home state, had several dolls and the guy was charging between $250-$1,000 just for one doll
I can definitely say that the creeproductions are discontinued. I tried finding them at 5 different Walmart’s in my area and when I went to the last Walmart I went to I gave them the item number and they said they were discontinued. 3 DAYS AFTER RELEASE!!!!
Honestly not surprised about the reel drama drama. My state didn’t even get creeproductions and even when I went to order they were all being sold for $60+. I had no hope for reel drama
THIS! I’m from The Netherlands and literally it’s so frustrating 😭 The shipping and import costs are really expensive and I just hope Monster High will be in stores here one day again 💕
I’m an adult collector of mh and barbie and we don’t get 1/3 of the amazing dolls you get in the us. Even if we do there’s no promotions or advertisements and by the time they hit the stores they are scalped! So frustrating. Signature/ holiday/ looks barbies Ive had to get on eBay for 2-3 times the price and there’s never any barbies or other dolls in charity shops. If we buy from the us there’s import fees on top of the high price too. Why isn’t every doll available in EVERY country? 😢 Thanks for bringing awareness to this problem Clawdeena ❤
Ugh mattel are driving me mad at the moment. Im in the Uk and after the beetlejuice launch I signed up to their official mailing list for updates on MH because it’s so hard to get them here and I got emails about Greta, the Haunt Couture line and the Dracula launch but then I didn’t get anything about the Reel Drama drop or the Frankenstein & Bride drops. It’s like they send me some emails but not all of them 😢
its so hard being a mh collector when you live in asia. i had to pay $105 for every single hc release and i paid almost $70 for rd lagoona. that's literally a scalper price even though i bought her from mattel creations. i genuinely hope they fix the scalper issue and lower the shipping price cause it aint it. MATTEL DO BETTER!!!!!!!!
I don't understand why companies like Mattel just don't have a limited amount that you can buy. This way scalpers can only buy just as much as anyone else and it would make it more equally distributed
I had a hard time of knowing when and where the Reel Drama lines were going to be in stores. I heard it was going to be in target but when I went to my local Target, it wasn't there.
To be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if they were discontinued, when I went to buy a clawdeen doll for my cousin the monster high section was VERY small and all the way in the back of the section and, if I wasn’t actively looking for it I probably would’ve missed it
I just found this video because I wanted to make myself a present for Christmas and wanted so badly to get a Monster High, get some informations about it and figure out how to get a doll. I live in Italy and there's absolutely NO TRACE of Monster High dolls in any store, not even in toy stores located in Rome or Milan, just some old accessories from the brand in private local toy shops that never sold. I started getting them since they came out when I was still a kid, for so many years I abandoned the Idea of collecting some of the dolls because of the economic issues we had at the time and because gradually stores stopped selling them, even though here the dolls were cheap but a high quality product; now years later I find out that they still exist and prices flew high up to the skies. It's a shame that other countries outside the US are forgotten in terms of Monster High dolls, and going to ebay or Amazon just to buy one and pay the prices of FIVE DOLLS in total is scandalous. I just wish I could sometime in the future get to buy one without paying something like 150€ - 335€ for just one doll.
I am literally dying over here in New Zealand. Dolls never turn up in stores, both gens of monster high, even rainbow high dolls are limited. If I do have the option to buy a doll shipping is CRAZY! I was lucky enough to get my hands on HC Draculaura but she ended up costing me over $150 NZD ($90 USD), with like that $50 being shipping. Why do international fans not get to enjoy the dolls like everyone else? (even then "everyone else" is still very limited as mattel appears to LOOOVE understocking dolls when they know how insanely popular they are)
Thank you for addressing this, I hope the other big collectors start speaking up and don’t stay silent to protect their pr. Make monster high more accessible!
Monster high in Australia was huge, we all loved having the representation of lagoona and she was a favourite for many. With how they changed her and now us not being able to get any dolls shows me that they only care about us sales right now and it’s really disappointing
I think the saddest part is when some kid collectors that still like gen 1 monster high in like Elementary have to go to bed early so when they wake up all of their ghouls are sold out 💔 it hasn't happened to me but a young relative of mine and since I'm busy with other thing couldn't it the dolls for them
Im still sad about the end of the monster high books. The young adult ones where the monsters attend human school and the ones with robecca, Rochelle and venus.
Been dying for new MH dolls here in the UK, and the closest thing we’ve got (in my area at least) is buying from over seas or resellers. The thing with buying over seas is that the doll itself is decently priced but then the shipping is just out of this world, and resellers price theirs with free shipping which at first you might think great that’s reasonable until you look at the price of the actually doll and it’s almost £60. I’ve heard the Smyths Toys Super Stores will be stocking them in early 2023, which i feel like even that is a little unfair because it almost feels like we’re the last to get them :( I love MH but there’s just so much more about this situation i didn’t have time to cover, I hope in the future this isn’t an issue
As a new collector, I wasn’t able to snag a lot of dolls. But I was just in time to get Draculaura’s Howliday doll… or so I thought. I set timers, I had the tab open, but it just to happens that the release WASNT going to happen on the Mattel website Ok. Pretty sucky but maybe since they’re releasing them at retail stores they’ll have prepared for all the numbers, right? Nope. Target is the ONLY retail store I can find selling the dolls for the actual $40ish price tag, with Walmart rocketing the price over $100. Even then, good luck finding one that isn’t out of stock. So I thought I’d just wait until it IS on the Mattel website, something a lot of people were asking about but getting no answers to. Voila, one day it’s up on the website with no word of warning, and of course it’s all sold out. There is no way Mattel shouldn’t know better by now. Thanks for listening to my TED talk lol
TEA TIME! So what do we gather from all of this? Whats something YOU think needs to change about the doll community?
OMg fan inclusion and I’m hexcied FOR ur doc! I’m gonna do my best to promote it when the time arrives
If companies like Mattel gave accurate and reliable info about releases, rumors wouldn’t run wild. The product distribution model needs to be improved as well because they could sell more and make fans happier if the dolls were more accessible.
Omg I'm a doll fan i love rainbow high, oh monster high, lol, shadow high. I think the doll community hard to stop discontinue dolls.
I haven't gotten any Reel Drama & Creeproductions from MH in store yet and I live in the Eastern U.S.
Sad news about Reel Drama and the entire way Mattel has handled their customers ;( I'm totally disheartened with this company now :(
I hope they rerelease all the limited stuff too. It's really not fair that resellers got them all
you had two months to get them are u broke or something
Neither the reel drama nor the repos ever made it anywhere near where I live in Florida. I've pretty much given up hope of ever getting them.
@@MissTaniaMusic I don't know who you are responding to but I tried getting them and they sold out in less than a minute. They never came anywhere near me and they sold out on the net before I could get them.
@@MissTaniaMusic they never showed up anywhere, and online they were relisted for 100s higher than retail. So no, no one got them
Thank you for speaking for ALL Monster High fans overseas!
@@Clawdeena9 monster high collection of new generation is great for amazing for vote for the new new monster high character
Yea the shipping's twice the doll's price... Just unjustifiable
@@neddle710 same. I live in Moldova. So difficult shopping new MH. I don't have reproduction, and reel drama
yeah, ive not seen anything of monster high at all here, not even g3. Its so frustrating and honestly at this point I've completely given up on them. I remember googling every day to try find if I was just missing something.
@@MrSpyfin same I live in Scotland and we don’t even have creepreductions
Thank you for talking about us international fans! I live in Asia, and I haven’t seen any monster high dolls in stores ever since g1 was discontinued. I had to pay 75 dollars for each creeproduction doll, and I bought a reel drama doll for 65 dollars from my Amazon but it’s been so hard to pay off for them. 😕
I had to pay around 80 bucks for each doll too 😭😭 and not even counting the price from the PO Box (which was like 10 extra bucks for every single doll)
same, we have to pay 50 dollars for my ss draculaura, im just hoping no damage was done to her
I’m so glad someone finally mentioned how countries outside of the US struggle to get dolls.
I feel you! I live in brazil and i've been looking for the dolls for months now and nothing
It's so unfair that they would discontinue a doll line that was already impossible to get😭😭😭😭
Walmart and Target usually have the dolls. Imagine living in a place without these stores💀
This! I tried hard to get the reel drama at toys r us !! 😢 sold out so fast !

I’m Australian and I just received my Haunt Couture Cleo a few days ago!!! Mattel took well over month to even ship it out, and I honestly have a feeling they prioritise US orders…
I had tried contacting them multiple times because I didn’t know if they would even ship out my order or not and I wasn’t responded to for MONTHS.
@@yem3321 that sucks :( it would be great if they could make their products more accessible to everyone.

The same thing happened to my Reel drama Draculaura. It is upsetting but hopefully Mattel will do something about this so every fan can get what want.
We even *have* Target here and we still didn’t get Ghoulia and the dolls are so limited, it was nearly impossible to get them
I’m still trying to find G3 Draculaura!! She’s always out of stock. Then I go to Depop and see her being resold for $200AUD. Insane.

In the UK we don't even have the creeproduction dolls, or gen 3!
I heard that Smyths will be getting the G3 dolls in December. This could be wrong so don't quote me, but I want to find out more and make a video on it!
As someone who lives in the states…. Never saw any monster high dolls at all
So much to be excited about! I’m so hyped for the documentary!!! Also can’t wait for the Elvira doll and to see how the Fang Vote plays out!
honestly as a kid from asia who now adores monster high, this saddens me alot :(( i've always wanted booriginal creeproduction draculaura because i never had the monster high experience in my childhood before, but the price and shipping cost in amazon are so high up the ass you know for a fact my parents are fainting at the sight of them. and scalpers aren't helping too, their prices are also high and it's just unobtainable at this point. im also not really a big fan of walmart and target exclusives knowing that they're only obtainable in the us T^T and it even has some dolls that i want like abbey. im just disappointed really and they could make more money if they could sell the dolls on an international scale. once im older im planning to move to the us just so i could have the dolls it's just sad
I really wanted to get the Reel Drama dolls 😢
And you still can because they haven’t been discontinued. They running with rumors.
Why would they do that?!
I love(d) that line!!!
Sucks in Australia too, it’s really disheartening tbh
I'm so upset about the reel drama dolls, because they never came to stores like Mattel said they would. So I never had a chance to get them. And now they're going for 50 dollars or more each.
THANK YOU so much for talking about international fans!!! ❤️ I feel seen 🥰✨ getting new dolls is nearly impossible lol
I wish they would sell dolls again in Mexico, the only way I got my Draculaura G3 was because of a re seller in a convention
It's really sad that no one can get these dolls because of scalpers.
here in greece we have no reel drama, creeproductions or g3 and we don't have Walmarts either!!!!
Can't mattel just love their fans?
Damn.....
i wish i could find any monster high doll in Italy at this point
I’ve been a MH fan for years, but I sadly don’t own a single doll! I can only find ones for insane prices. They’re so inaccessible!
Yeah, it's really not ok considering they're quite basic.
I wish people would stop buying from resellers with surreal prices, maybe they'll let us buy something from fans at decent prices
I'm buying second hand ones :( and even they are very expensive to my country's standarts. It's sad.
Thank you really much! We also want those dolls here for example in Germany. We need all your help!
I love hearing ideas about accessibly for overseas fans of anything honestly , I pay RIDICULOUS amounts of shipping to collect stuff from Korea and Japan , basically like doubling the price of the item
That being said, I really hope the international Monster High fans can start getting better access ! For Korean / Japanese merch we often do group orders to help with shipping
Wishing everyone luck !
I have been watching for a year or more I think and I really like your videos especially your monster high one's because they are so entertaining and it's fun to watch someone with the same common interests like ever after high, monster high and rainbow high etc
And the premieres get me more hyped lol 😆 😅
It's amazing to see how your videos improve 👏 👏 👏
And let me just say the cosplays are amazing 10/10
Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful message! It inspires me to evolve my content more and more. What are some Rainbow High or MH videos you'd like to see from me?
I'd love to see some characters you think should get made into a doll! Or maybe a concept that Mattel should consider making into a doll. Like the shadow ghouls from 13 wishes. Maybe rating the dolls or doll lines?
I will die if Elvira's doll is real. I love her and her doll would be great! Just hope I would get her in time.
Reality is a cruel stage… 😢
Update: They literally cancelled it without a word, checking my orders. If not just says I ordered a plush and not the doll- how sad is that?
I remember voting! I, too, hope Gory will become a doll. There are so many background characters from the movies/webisodes that I wish would become dolls. What about Andy from Skull Shores????
THANK YOU FOR AMPLIFYING THIS! we need more doll influencers talking about this.
A Tiffany chucky and Glen/da doll would be so cute
This has been the case with us in Hungary for years. From the Ever After High dolls, we haven't received even the old ones since the Spring Unsprung collection. It is very disturbing. Therefore many of us had to order them from abroad at ridiculous prices with other Monster High dolls too.
I'm a Nigerian MH fan and I have never seen a Monster High doll in store. I don't know whether it's national retail rejecting them or Mattel not reaching out. Barbie is still here so I don't know why Monster High is not here.
My reel drama Clawdeen came with two right hands!! how am I supposed to get a replacement hand???💀
Yikes this is a huge mess, hope a good solution is made. And everyone all over the world will get their favorite Monster High dolls.
It’s like they send me some emails but not all of them 😢
I heard that the Monster high g3 and the creeprodutions (maybe) will be released in Germany in fall 2023...literally a year later😔
The reel drama monster high dolls are still available at toys r us in Canada - I went into my local store and just got draculaura
Elvira actually might get new body type, since its not just kid play doll, its collector doll for more grown community
Big bad toys has Clawdeen,Frankie, and Lagoon for a good price but sadly no draculaura but I’m happy they have three of the drama dolls
its so hard being a mh collector when you live in asia. i had to pay $105 for every single hc release and i paid almost $70 for rd lagoona. that's literally a scalper price even though i bought her from mattel creations. i genuinely hope they fix the scalper issue and lower the shipping price cause it aint it. MATTEL DO BETTER!!!!!!!!
A friend of mine got clawdeen and frankie in a physical store here in Brazil, she is so lucky, in my city there are any store who have them
I don't understand why companies like Mattel just don't have a limited amount that you can buy.
I just wish I could sometime in the future get to buy one without paying something like 150€ - 335€ for just one doll.
mattel seriously needs to get it together.
(even then "everyone else" is still very limited as mattel appears to LOOOVE understocking dolls when they know how insanely popular they are)
Thank you for talkin’ about this and speak for the international fans too! Lets hope well for the future! 🥹❤️
Thank you for addressing this, I hope the other big collectors start speaking up and don’t stay silent to protect their pr.
Make monster high more accessible!
Getting monster high dolls is so frustrating. Some times I just feel so lucky to even have the few that I own.
Watching from Germany still waiting for the Creeproduction dolls, G3 and Reel Drama. 😔
Waiting for a Vampira, Morticia, and Lily Munster doll tbh.
Real Drama line took it a bit too seriously huh....
Even then we still won't get the reproductions or reel drama :(
As a new collector, I wasn’t able to snag a lot of dolls. But I was just in time to get Draculaura’s Howliday doll… or so I thought. I set timers, I had the tab open, but it just to happens that the release WASNT going to happen on the Mattel website
Ok.
Literally right after I gave my collection away (which was like thirty dolls and multiple sets) they stopped selling the originals. It made me so mad.
