sourceaudioeffects Yeah, he's a Wizard, for sure. But so are you guys and you give great customer service. When my Neuro Hub arrived without the daisy-chain, all it took was one Facebook message and Jeff sent promptly sent me the chain - at no extra charge. Now *that's* customer service. Loving my Nemesis and Vertigo. I think I'm gonna love the Ventris. Delay, Tremolo, Reverb. For me, that's the holy trinity of mod/time-based effects and Source Audio deliver on all 3. Kudos.
I think the intro song is one of the better ones you’ve made. Not that the other ones are not incredible; but feels that this one has some mojo in it. Thank you Pete!
Fantastic demo. It's like you're an endless fountain of melodic genius! I swear your 'demos' are more album worthy than most 'songs' you hear today. Not only are your demos really informative but your playing always inspires. Thanks! I gotta go get my guitar now. :-)
I love seeing the boxes of gear just laying around waiting for you to make demos. Your hard work is paying off! However, you need a "shipping and receiving room" now. Great reviews/demos Pete, thanks so much!
Excuse my language Pete, but your demos are fucking inspiring. Thanks for the great demo and for showing players how to actually use something to its potential. Just fantastic musicianship you own. You always own it.
Love that tele with the P90s! Just ridiculous how good that guitar sounds.....Every time you play that thing it makes me wish I had that guitar and I already own two guitars with P90s!
Pete Thorn i'm glad you take time to answer to me! It's not because you play with high class material that you'r good composer, your talent is equal with nothing! It's juste sound better! Writte a music against your president, coule ne fun!!!que le meilleur puisse t'accompagner!. Sorry for my french US english
Not sure if I want the pedal because i want the pedal or because your song is so awesome and showcased the pedal so perfectly. I shouldn't be wanting a reverb, i just sold mine lol!!!!
Dang Pete!!! You just sold me on another source audio pedal!! I bought the eq2 and the atlas compressor after watching your videos on them.. don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, my rig is all the more better for it!! I actually like how lively the reverbs are with this pedal, definitely something I'm not really able to get with my fx processor. Thanks for another great video!!
I love Pete's demos because they make me forget about the pedal. So, if that is the case for a few of us (I suspect it is) then I guess the way to sell pedals is "Demos by guys who can't play" Hey, now there's something I could do...
Even tho I haven't done much experimenting with ambient effects, I must say that the "offspring" setting you had dialed in was beautiful and intriguing... rats, I may need to buy this one!
1:51 ... that bend just killed me a little. I think using “OFFSPRING” in chords is my favorite. There must be a million things you can do with that. Clean “ECHOVERB” super pretty.
Hey Pete. Just ordered one of these. Been thinking about it for a while but you put me over the top. The video is a bit older but wondered, should you see this, if you would tell me what you're using for the distortion on the solo Strat part. I realize that a) I'm not you (or anything close) and b) I'm using different gear but I want a similar sound. Playing stereo through a Princeton Reverb and a MAZ 18. Thanks, as always.
nice Pete man those surhs sure stay in tune is it set up to float or is it setup flat against the body I finally got my strat to that point but its not floating
Great playing and awesome pedal! It leaves me with a question, though. Which should I do: 1. Buy food to eat for the next two months, or 2. Buy this pedal?
Great Video!! To my great astonishment, after I tested the Ventris, I found out that the "Ext.Midi Clock Sync" function described in the manual is not provided by Source Audio. I think that's a major shortcoming and would like to ask you to write also to Source Audio in order to achieve a speedy firmware update that implements the Midi Sync feature! The Nemensis Delay has this feature! So both devices would complement each other completely. Thanks a lot and greetings!
yes there is. There's also an editor in beta testing that will allow the two foot switches to be configurable for different things as well. It's a very powerful pedal.
the first 2 tones are in front. The other tones are running after the output of the Suhr Reactive Load, and would be similar to running the Ventris in an effect loop. I find you can run in front and get great tones as long as you're using a rather clean setting on the amp (s). For amp dirty tones, running the reverb post-distortion is best
"That Mugatu is so hot right now, he could take a crap, wrap it in tinfoil, put some fishhooks on it and sell it to queen Elizabeth as earings!" - Maury Ballstein ...And that Pete Thorn is so sick, he could plug a guitar into it, lol... and impress the hell outta Brian May from Queen all day/night long!
**& Source Audio for the record is pretty killer.. I own a Nemesis and love its capacity to basically run in and out of my patch bay for stereo echo on anything from my DAW without the need for a REAMP BOX, (they accept balanced/unbalanced stereo ins-outs!)... so I don't mean to imply their products are crap.. bc the opposite is the truth, and so that def twas a joke!**
Wow... that tune sent my mind into some mondern evolution of pink floyd. Gilmour's playing could be so much better if you just gave him a few lessons.... lol.
Gilmour inspired all of these guitarists the same way Iommi influenced all the metal scene.Geordie Walker got ripped off with his unique style. So Gilmour is for ME untouchable. He does not need lessons whatsoever, just respect for his immense work.MY humble opinion. Unless you are an under cultured teenager or have no clue who is really Gilmour.Watch more yt videos to hear the origins of rock though the ages.
Well, not really. it's 2 reverbs in one box, and can do delay as well... Not that I don't love boss but there is some serous DSP horsepower going on in this particular pedal, it's more akin to a rack processor. From their website: The supremely intelligent Ventris Dual Reverb features two completely independent 56-bit reverb processors, essentially housing a matching pair of high-powered reverb pedals in a single box. The Ventris’s powerful dual processing architecture gives the pedal some serious advantages including massive processing muscle, adjustable preset spillover time, and the ability to create dual reverb effects.
More or less. I use a DD7, an RV6. But I couldn't really get that analog/tape delay thing so I tried a Strymon El Capistan. It's good. But you are basically right, we don't need *all* the damn boutique pedals in the world to get good tone. I do like my SA Vertigo :)
Blasphemy! How dare you say we don't need all these boutique pedals?! Lol! Yep, use the tools at your disposal, and don't let them get in the way of what you're trying to achieve. David Gilmour never had one of these and he did ok. That being said, gear like this can be an inspirational tool which leads you to a new song idea...and that can be invaluable. And I admit I have a real admiration for this particular company, really like their approach. But there's more than one way to skin a musical cat. We're all on our own musical journey, no-one should tell us the path we're taking isn't a valid one.
Every time someone makes a "How to sound like David Gilmour" video, pedal manufacturers around the world smile, and Dave just shakes his head. I went through a real GAS crisis so I stripped everything back to: Strat>Volume Pedal>Tube Screamer>BD-2>Amp (amp reverb). It was good "therapy". I agree with you re SA. I didn't get the daisy-chain with my Neuro Hub and I contacted them. Sorted, no hassles, no extra cost.
And every time someone makes a snarky remark about Capos, I give them my list "Great Guitarists Who Used Capos". It just has one name on it. "Professionals". :)
Yes! Pete, you always make our pedals sound amazing - thanks for another killer video. Mmmm, mmmm - that guitar playin'!!!
sourceaudioeffects thank u!!
sourceaudioeffects Yeah, he's a Wizard, for sure. But so are you guys and you give great customer service. When my Neuro Hub arrived without the daisy-chain, all it took was one Facebook message and Jeff sent promptly sent me the chain - at no extra charge. Now *that's* customer service.

Best pedal I’ve heard in a long time.
Nobody uses OD for the Ventris reviews . .but I knew Pete would! Thanks!
I got this last week, and it is incredible. The hold/freeze feature is awesome to use too!
Offspring with chords sounded really nice. I smiled when you did when I heard the first chord play through.
I'm totally going to set up an EchoVerb + Room patch on my Ventris TONIGHT! Thanks Pete and Source Audio!
all I can for the demo, the song, the playing and of course the sound of that reverb is WOW!
that look @ 4:56 is why I love pedalsonic discoveries,
Thank You so very much for that awesomeness!
Looks like a perfect reverb pedal for my Kemper.
The intro tune is fantastic, it's like a mysterious epic cyber movie scene soundtrack.
I love seeing the boxes of gear just laying around waiting for you to make demos. Your hard work is paying off! However, you need a "shipping and receiving room" now. Great reviews/demos Pete, thanks so much!
Wow I thought I needed a delay to get the sound I wants.. It turns out I just need this amazing Reverb to get the sounds I want! I'm buying one!
Great track! Great work as always Pete! A collection of your demo tunes, even a RUclips playlist of them would be awesome!
The tone at the beginning is just bad ass! Thumbs Up!
Amazing pedal, amazing song, amazing playing!
Whoaaa, That song rocked! Perfect combo of tone/composition
Pete the tracks sound amazing. Nice quick to the point review drives this one home. Definitely have this on my radar.
im always excited to watch your intros to see what kind of music you've come up with! awesome
really enjoyed this. might have to spring for this one.
that swell reverb was perfect at creating the atmosphere
Phenomenal sounds and great playing, Pete.
Seriously awesome demo, I think I need this pedal
Excuse my language Pete, but your demos are fucking inspiring. Thanks for the great demo and for showing players how to actually use something to its potential. Just fantastic musicianship you own. You always own it.
Love that tele with the P90s! Just ridiculous how good that guitar sounds.....Every time you play that thing it makes me wish I had that guitar and I already own two guitars with P90s!
Hard enough deciding for the BIG SKY over Eventide and now I’ve come across this.!!!! Got to figure this one out now..!!!
Me too. I've always wanted a Big sky, then i wanted the RV-500 but i'm going with the Ventris right now
I got all three plus the NightSky... Reverb stacking and parellel heaven... ☺️
@@ShaighJosephson
That’s just greedy….. but I must say, I’d do the same.
Oh wow! Gorgeous sounds.
Probably my favourite intro track to date, really neck to neck with the one you did for Keeley 30ms Automatic Double Tracker! :)
This is just unbelievable awesome
Gorgeous sounds, plus it sounds gorgeous!
Awesome sound, Thanks for sharing
You're a genious!!! I. Want a CD of All your demos!!!!! Il y a certes le son mais les idées sont presque tout le temps parfaites. Peace
new CD coming soon, thank you, I'm glad you like what I do!
Pete Thorn i'm glad you take time to answer to me! It's not because you play with high class material that you'r good composer, your talent is equal with nothing! It's juste sound better! Not sure if I want the pedal because i want the pedal or because your song is so awesome and showcased the pedal so perfectly. I shouldn't be wanting a reverb, i just sold mine lol!!!!
Pete, the last riff of the intro on your black Suhr sig was awesome! channeling some Hank Marvin
Sounds amazing.
Awesome track!
tbh everything you play sounds amazing..
Omg that an insane sound!
wow you fkn killed it with that swell in the beginning it sounds SO POWERFUL i need more money...great job im sold
Amazing demo dude
I love Pete's demos because they make me forget about the pedal.
So, if that is the case for a few of us (I suspect it is) then I guess the way to sell pedals is "Demos by guys who can't play"
Hey, now there's something I could do...
Wish this intro tune was available for download. Great demo Pete!
cool tele!
I didn't even know I needed one. But I do now.
Even tho I haven't done much experimenting with ambient effects, I must say that the "offspring" setting you had dialed in was beautiful and intriguing... rats, I may need to buy this one!
Nice sound pedal great good delay...
I love that 'Strat' lead tone...very Floydy.
Beautiful sounds Pete! \m/
That black PT Suhr is the one I want, cooler than the gold-top
Great tune Pete;)!!
1:51 ... that bend just killed me a little.
I think using “OFFSPRING” in chords is my favorite. There must be a million things you can do with that.
Clean “ECHOVERB” super pretty.
This is great, but is there a reason to get one if a guitarist already has a Eventide Space or H9?
Any ideas if the aux switch can bank up and down please a video
Hey Pete. Just ordered one of these. Been thinking about it for a while but you put me over the top. The video is a bit older but wondered, should you see this, if you would tell me what you're using for the distortion on the solo Strat part. Pete still work hard
I love the song Pete! Kind of a Pink Floyd-y vibe.
nice Pete man those surhs sure stay in tune is it set up to float or is it setup flat against the body I finally got my strat to that point but its not floating
Great playing and awesome pedal! It leaves me with a question, though. Which should I do: 1. Buy food to eat for the next two months, or 2. Buy this pedal?
God dam great demo....(!)
+Pete Thorn were you using a Freqout for feedback?
When is your next set of tune(s) coming out ?
Do you use the feedback generator pedal at the end? The digitech Freqout?
Vincent Morel yes correct
Hey Pete whats your opinion Ventris or immerse mk2?
Hi Pete. How does this stand up to the reverbs you use on the Eventide H9?
...Bravo
Great Video!!
To my great astonishment, after I tested the Ventris, I found out that the "Ext.Midi Clock Sync" function described in the manual is not provided by Source Audio. Thanks a lot and greetings!
Hey Pete! I have 7 pedals and am looking for a switcher, which would you recommend?
Hey Pete I am loving this pedal but random question: Where can one get knobs like the ones on your Tele?
Is there a tap tempo for the echoverb setting?
yes there is. There's also an editor in beta testing that will allow the two foot switches to be configurable for different things as well. It's a very powerful pedal.
Jim Quarnstrom thats great news. thanks man!
Killer!
What fuzz were you using in the intro? Massive!! Liked the Gilmour vibe of your demo.
GmanMusicProductions Boss Hyper Fuzz :)
Man that was a righteous sound. Thank you!
so, were all of these sounds in an effects loop? or did you run any of it in front of your amp?
the first 2 tones are in front. The other tones are running after the output of the Suhr Reactive Load, and would be similar to running the Ventris in an effect loop. I find you can run in front and get great tones as long as you're using a rather clean setting on the amp (s). For amp dirty tones, running the reverb post-distortion is best
how are you doing?
I need to know the name of that fuzz
Boss Hyper Fuzz
Awesome! Thanks Pete
After this video, it looks like I'll be adding this to my pedal board to go with my Source Audio Nemesis delay pedal 😁

Great work as always Pete. Trying to resist the GAS for this pedal though!
PUT DOWN THE CREDIT CARD AND CALL YOUR MOM
Or just go for a walk.
Do not resist. Just pull the trigger. You can always eat oatmeal :D
epic
