The rear fingerprint reader works faster on the 4a than the front one on the 6 series. The 6, however, is water and dust resistant, IP68. And Live Translate would be faster on the 6 if you download the language.

Just got my google pixel 6 pro. Had it for about 6 hours and ready to send it back. The Pixel 3a XL had a better fingerprint scanner than this hunk of junk has- even after adding the same finger twice. Even after updating everything multiple times- it got stuck playing videos in my Google photos- had to reboot, couldn't find directions on Android Auto, had to reboot, flew through about 40% of the battery in just a few hours, the camera told me I needed to clean the lens- yeah right, this is the biggest piece of buyers remorse I ever had- it's going back. Got the pixel 6 256gb in black. Superb phone don't know what ppl saying It's not big your hands just small. Also I don't use finger print scanner so I don't care about that 😂
My concerns with Pixel 6: * Major: a slow in-display optical fingerprint sensor is a big step backward. Pixel phones should either stick with practical and reliable fingerprint sensor at the back, or switch to ultrasonic scanner. * Major: adding a glass back is not practical for day to day use. Pixel phones should use Aluminium back like Pixel5, or use high quality plastic. * Medium: Avoid camera bumps, or make the bumps smooth. It hurts the fingers. * Medium: Release Pixel non-pro in the smaller size, between 5.8-inch and 6.1-inch. You're competing with non-Pro iPhones. * Minor: Bring back the free photo storage with Google Photos for Pixel fans? I hope Pixel6a or Pixel7 fulfills some requests from this wishlist.
I think the only suggestion google is picking up is the finger print scanner. Like give a better in display. But the won't go back. The size is something google can look but I think google will consider small sizes for the pixel 6a .
Both are great devices! What do you use it for? For example, if you're a gamer, check out reviews for the S20 FE and see if that's a better fit. If you're not a gamer, then the Pixel 6 benefits include timely OS updates until October 2024, as well as, security updates until 31-OCT-2026. That's currently better than what Samsung offers. And then there are the software perks offered by Google. Things like Caller ID and Spam detection, Call Screen, and Hold For Me. Google also has Now Playing which tells you at a glance which song is playing. Both Samsung and Google make great products. Good luck with your decision, and I'm sure you'll choose what's best for you 😊.
