I suffer from high anxiety and depression. For some reason when it rains, my anxiety goes away. I think it causes me to be still.

@rockymf2523 I also love the rain and find it very calming. I suffered from depression for 40 years! I still have some anxiety issues and PTSD. It stemmed from tangling with a pedophile and his son--when I was age 9. They tried to bury me alive and I survived. I am 61 today and okay. I have always found storms calm me down--and love thunder and lightening storms--these do not scare me. I love to go to the coast--Oregon Coast when it is stormy. The rain and crashing waves--the sound of the howling wind are like music to my ears. I will pray for you. Hope you are doing better today.

In the first 2 minutes of this video, Luke did 28 camera transition shots. Shout out to his dedication for replacing that camera just for 1 second B roll shots. I'm sure some of them in the truck are stock shots edited in. But probably not. Luke you are one amazing cinematographer to to through all that to ensure the perfect in frame shot. Always steady, always good sound, always edited crisp and clean.

We were in the kitchen, close to supper time. My grandson, Gabriel, eighteen months old, in a droopy diaper, no shirt, barefooted, is plodding upstairs, literally just to one side of the kitchen. “Gabe, where you going?” He said, “I just need some peace and quiet”. All guys, sometimes, just need some peace and quiet. Kentucky

Hello Luke! These Japanese campers that you are referring to have come through my feed, and you are correct. They do it in such style, just amazing. The food is certainly not what we are used to. It is elaborate, in abundance and eaten with chop sticks. All their equipment appears quite expensive, as well. Nevertheless, I still appreciate and love what you are doing and love Lone Wolf Mountain. Thank you. Greetings from Ontario.

I don't get to tent or go camping in the same capacity and watching you do it is a relaxing stress reliever. Thanks.

There is a Korean family who goes "glamping" a lot (RYU Camp). I love them....They practically bring along an entire house. The camping spots are almost like spas. They have toilet, laundry, and in some cases, shower facilities. They also camp on ready-made platforms. A viewer asked why and the response was because the public demands it....And yes, incredible meals...Amazing to watch, but they rarely discuss the equipment they use.

I've seen those Japanese camping trips you talked about. They would use that big open tent by putting a van with the side slide doors open at each end using the van as the sleeping/private quarters with the center of the tent for the communal cooking, etc. Laying down rugs in the center just like you mentioned. A different style of camping than most of us do, but they seem to have fun. Elaborate, but not fussy. Kind of a reconnection to friends and family with a spiritual vibe. Love your beautiful Wolf Mountain :-)

Luke. We used to go backpacking (many section hikes on the AT and other places) or, we went "Cadillac Camping". Cadillac Camping is what we called car camping. We would take everything, pour out of the car, walk 10 feet and set up. We (2-3 families) would put up 8-10 person tents near Lake Lanier or Lake Hartwell in Georgia and just eat and play cards. We would set up like 3 or 4 huge tarps and we could walk from one tent to another and the cooking area and never get wet. I'm 64 now and more likely to do a combination of the two. I go out usually alone and set up a base camp with more minimal gear and then take some hikes and explore an area. Have not backpacked in years now, though I may some time. Will see.

We camped over the holiday weekend with the extended family. Saturday was beautiful and we went kayaking (along with a great mass of humanity). Sunday was rainy with periods of less rain. Monday was a complete monsoon. Packing up was a soggy and warm experience. I finally got everything dried out and put away on Thursday. Saturday the river was at 3ft 5 inches. Monday it was at 7ft 8in. Flood stage is 10ft. We all had a soggy blast! Saturday was games and campfire and running around in the light rain. Sunday was let's get out of here! I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. Have a great day!

Luke, have you ever tried disposable tea bags for your coffee? They're little draw string mesh bags that are meant, primarily for teas, but you can fill them with coffee and zip lock them to keep fresh. Drop one or two into your pot of water and bring it to a boil, steep to the desired strength, and remove. The grounds stay in the bag. I guess you could actually add your sweetener and powdered creamer to the bag as well and do a 3 in 1. For that matter, I guess you could blend in some Swiss Miss and make a Mocha, or whatever they call that coffee with chocolate. I use them to make single cups of coffee on the days that I get going before my wife gets up from bed. She won't drink warmed up coffee so, if I make a whole pot, it just gets wasted. These bags and a microwave make a perfect single cup of coffee, right in my cup, every time. They are available on Amazon and Ebay.

I absolutely enjoyed this video. It is one of my most favorite camping and that is in the rain...the heavier the better. On of my most favorite sounds is rain hitting the tarp or rain pouring down on a corrugated roof top. I love the DOD tarp tent...pretty cool setup. While living in Maui I used to drive from home to Hana during the monsoon seasons and set up camp in the forest and waited for the rain to dump on my camp. I would sleep like a baby. Great stuff, Luke! Thanks for sharing this adventure.

You’re right the Japanese camping videos are awesome some have the English captions that makes it more enjoyable to follow and I enjoy watching them preparing their food and eating enjoying their beer n wine😂 stay safe my friend until your next video ❤❤❤

We love you Luke, in a respectful way, I love your desire for the outdoors and the rain , I love how no matter what you are very mellow. The wild weather is the start of the end days talked about in the Bible but keep ⛺️ camping as long as the LORD allows . I think that’s one reason I enjoy the outdoors, everywhere you look you can see GOD, and JESUS . I also go to sleep listening to a blizzard cabin camping setting .I’ll get back to watching ya in the ☔️ rain , thanks for sharing your outdoor fun , I can’t really go outdoors much myself right now . your camping friend , Betty , ps. I can’t understand much why anyone would get upset with you guys , I think you all are awesome 😊

Luke, I love to watch your channel. The rain helps drone out the worries and busy frustrations of the modern world. I can imagine how it feels to recluse, and escape to your sanctuary at Lone Wolf Mountain. Even on a dreary day, the peaceful setting of your open glen lightens my spirits. I need to buy a piece of land, on top of a mountain, here in Idaho. I have a large teepee. It makes for a nice camp.
There is one thing that troubles me. Coffee. I love coffee, and I use to make in standard fashion, black and hot. But these past few years I’ve come to enjoy a ‘better brew.’ Medagalia D’Oro, Instant Espresso. Try it, judge for yourself. (Just say’n!)

I follow a few Japanese and Korean camping channels, as they do things differently (which i find very interesting), but also for the food they eat. I've tried a few different recipes and foods I've seen and they have been fantastic! They certainly take a lot of gear (even when backpacking!), but I can understand why after your explanation. Always enjoy your videos, Luke. I find the sound of the rain very soothing and enjoy your lazy storm camps as much as your more hard-core ones. Keep them coming, great stuff!
