Wow, Pete! Kicked ass on that - tough to get Eddie's solo phrasing just right, but that was damn authentic sounding. EVH is smiling somewhere ❤️

Pete Man! U have that Magic Touch!! U really worked hard and it shows, I wore out a Realistic 4head dual capstans, playing with every VH cassette front 2 Back! I could play a lot of Edd's licks close,But you R on a complete other level!! Everyone of Edwards songs R different and the talent he had can't B matched but brother I don't think anyone but Wolf could be as close, Thx 4 Sharing and making my day!! Wow, wow, wow. Only having discovered Mitch Malloy's history with Van HanHalen only a few years ago makes this so much more special. Pete Thorn is just a magical guitar player & musician! Wayne Killius just drills this and Dan Spriewald owns that driving base. What a line up & so good live! Come everybody this is mental good.

I honestly had an anxiety dream where I was on stage for a venue about this size, and didn't know the set list. I was freaking out, and I swear, I thought "what would Pete Thorn do, in this situation?". (Not that he would ever be in that situation, but in the sense of calling out to Obi-wan Kenobi)

It's almost unbelievable how good these guys are. Van Halen was great, and so are these guys. They just didn't happen to create the music. But no one faults Glenn Gould for being Bach's later pianist.
Remember seeing Pete’s interview with Mitch when they announced this show. I’ve watched all of these as Pete’s released them and this is the best. Mitch really owned this one and sounds great as does the entire band. Too bad only one show. This would have been a great tour.

@@mrcoatsworth429 I agree! I don't see VH2 get much love, but I suppose anything they put out after the debut couldn't be as earth-shattering. I honestly believe if VH2 had been the debut, it would have gotten the same reaction. At least a couple of the songs from 2, including this one, had been part of their shows for a few years before they got signed. This could've easily been on the debut, but what would it replace? This riff, though. I'd put it right up there with "Ain't Talkin 'Bout Love" and "On Fire", my favorites from VH1. This was the one that immediately stood out to me the first time I heard the album.

Wayne Killius sounds amazing on these recordings! The drums sound about as close to AVH as I've heard without being AVH. Thanks for bringing these guys together and keeping that VH torch burning, Mitch!
