people hate, but there was a reason BLACK outsold everything and went pop. the sound and dynamics are fucking KILLER on it, and you can actually hear Jason.
Of all their releases Garage Days revisited has been my most played from the beginning. The recording just has so much spirit. Light as air yet sharp as a razor.
i agree dude , i dont buy into that " metallica playing simple stuff and selling out " , bring an audiophile and a drunk head banger they would both love it !
The thing I don't understand at all is 1) why James and Lars would think turning the bass off was a good idea 2) why Jason didn't go "wow, timeout guys. Where is the bass? Are you intentionally trying to ruin the album?" People trying to make up excuses like "they were still mourning Cliff" is just hilarious. As if they wouldn't allow bass to be heard unless Cliff was playing or that having inaudible bass somehow honors their former bass player 😅
Iit's THE BEST sound. it's the coronation of what master of puppets was supposed to sound. that boogie mark sound, a fat bass and explosive drums. and the best Hetfield vocals ever. You might not like the songs per se, but the production is phenomenal.
You get that sound from a "beginner" guitar, awesome!... we guitar players keep looking for excuses to upgrade guitars, but after all, the magic starts in our fingers.
Hey man, all I can say is that this is beautiful. TBA was Metallica’s first perfectly produced album, at least to my ears. MOP was in my opinion their best album musically. You combined the best of both. Cheers!
This is the most grounded comment and I agree wholeheartedly. Composition of MOP is timeless but the sound Bob Rock got in the BA is stellar even to this day, any producer worth it's salt will tell you.
Wow, this is really good. Kudos man. Love the harmonies, they sound so clean. Added comment - all these done on a strat guitar. I repeat, it sounds really good.
Wow man! Great tones! Very interesting to hear a masterpiece in a slightly different light. Thought provoking too. Enjoyed the strings sounds you added too. Cool! Amazing musicianship! Metallica has inspired millions to pick up an instrument. Including myself. I can hear and feel your passion and skill. Very inspiring! 🤘
Awesome job! Usually these type of videos ruin songs, this was fealt like it was done by a fan rather than someone trying to mock their change in style
First of all, awesome work. Really loved the re-harmonization and the strings arrangement. But to be honest, this sounds more like a cover than a "black album" recreation. Anyways, this sounds beautiful. Edit: Just wanted to add that it would have been cool if you kept all the Misery stuff. Like the half time beat and the riffage, like you did in the intro and solos.
thats interesting to hear man ! i actually recorded clean guitars during the main riff that sounded like the ones in the verse part of my friend of misery but then i thought it might be too much. i guess i didnt wanna change orion into another specific black album song as much as i wanted the guitar and drums tone from the black album
Orion..my all time favorite song and I dislike instrumentals. I came across Alex Tamulus video here with cliffs bass extra loud....I can't listen to Orion any other way now😂 but this is pretty sick. I love it❤Thank you❤🏴☠️
Nah man, I love the Black Album but I first heard Orion when I was landing into OKC for my freshman year of college. There’s nothing that feels up my heart and makes it soar than hearing Cliff play it on Master of Puppets.
The Black Album is a magnificent piece of work; however, I always think about how not having an instrumental separates it from their earlier work. Sometimes I wish what ended up being My Friend Of Misery would be kept as an instrumental.
@@Steesia You know. Being a fan of more extreme genres of metal (as well as musician) sometimes I wish someone would re-record Metallica albums with a modern metal drummer (I am talking 30 kinds of blast beats and prog time signatures).
A+ for effort and skill, and it was a decent first listen, but the original has such a deep rooted place in my heart nothing could ever beat it, so Im sticking to that Really good video and rendition tho
@@Steesia Yup, and I can tell part of the song "Orion" has some "Helpless" from Diamond Head based in the movement on one part. Funny thing: Diamond Head got that part from the band Strawbs from the 1973 song "Down By The Sea". If you listen to "Down By The Sea" with the intro and even the outro, you will hear it.

@@h2eh1s- I know dude i love how it sounds and feels , you can tell metallica had so much fun covering their favourite songs !
@@hidale1074 everyone's got their own taste i guess

This is too good. But, an "If Orion was on AJFA" would be hilarious.
yea just imagine the song building up for that bass solo but then you only get to hear drums and power chords 😂
I would still love to hear your take on it though great work man
Just turn the bass eq all the way down and bam, there you go lol
Anaesthesia would be even more hilarious on the justice ⚖️ album.

I'm not gonna lie the black album has one of the best sounds in Metallica discography in my humble opinion.
its a damn good opinion
load and reload is good soundings too
@@fixme.96reload was the last album I like from them. I have listened to the others and didn't care for them.

Omg. My favorite song in a style of my favorite album. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Sounds amazing. This is what I needed today.
glad you liked it !
That black album snare. Legendary. Great job man!
I've added your version to my playlist, which I always listen to when I'm driving. great work and greetings from Germany.
glad you liked it , greetings from egypt my friend !
Yeeaahhhh it sounds absolutely great!
Loved the video colors following the key change at 5:33.

fingers and DAWs i guess 😅
GREAT bro!! So good \m/
Woow better than i expected, good job bro, feels like their live concert tone.
I`m having a blast playing with you ;) thanks.
This track is just a masterpiece. And you did it very well! Very nice played and great sound! 👌
Cheerz! 🤘
Thank you for including the 1 gallop at the end of the intro section that everyone else misses. First person I've seen do it :D
Ya he very particular and tight 🤟🏻
My son’s middle name is Orion. This is great. Betterish than the original. Nice job!!!
that's actually a really cool name !

For me while MOP sounds more polished I prefer Ride the Lightning as it has more of a thrash feel to it. Both were awesome.
YOOO the production on this is insane 🔥
OMG, I think I'm in love with this track, why does it sound so good while respecting the original. Stellar job my man 👊🏻
The bass solo in the guitar is SICKKK!!!!
its actually a combination of my guitar and cliff's solo !
Great work. Excellent combination power and soft sound, especially after bass line in the middle
Not what I was expecting! Str8 🔥 🔥 🔥
the tones are ridiculously spot on. awesome job
That’s a lot of detail! Most bands can’t reproduce their own songs this well. Excellent playing!
appreciate your support bro !
The Black Album’s recording, mixing and mastering is the best in their entire catalog.
That's for sure, but my opinion is,that album sound is an example for the music industry.
Wow, this is really good. Kudos man. Love the harmonies, they sound so clean.

Good job mate... very well executed 🤟
Good take, man, I enjoyed ! And agree: the Black Album is their best sounding one. An absolute reference to me in every term.

Metallica’s first 4 albums cemented their legend in the Rock & Metal genres.
Metallica’s Black Album cemented their legend in all of music.

Blasphemy to do the solo on guitar lol. But it did sound great.

I'm pretty sure you can do it better! Go for it! Show us all!
And Justice For Cliff!!!
The whole time I was literally thinking, "ooh, I wonder what the bass solo will sound like?"

Ah, fuck..! The intro is so good! You did a great job :) But once that beat hits, you realise this has no place on the Black Album :)

Can definitely tell the harmony is different. I just cannot say much.😅
However, I did notice one way of playing it that caught my eye.
as far as i know i guess i played the same notes from the original , maybe not the same hand placement though cuz i learned it by ear
