Until Jeep comes out with a luxury oriented Wrangler with a Hemi engine and air suspension, the G Wagon really doesn't have any competition. It's just so unique and awesome.
I understand what you're saying, but I'm talking about something full on luxury. A Rubicon comes with pretty much everything my WRX comes with as "luxury options". All optioned up and you still don't even get Xenon/LED lighting or rear heated seats. I've owned several Wranglers, but I guess I don't think like a Jeep person.
I never comment on vids, but you really do a great job with this! you don't waste time, talk well about specs, and have a purpose to your review that was clearly rehearsed and edited well. props!
One of three and one them is just next to my block of flats in Bulgaria. Guys, don't underestimate Bulgaria for being poor. You got one of the best AMG's and Brabuses in the world.
Amazing review. I like the fact that you don't stutter and say "like like like like" similar to other youtubers. Keep up the amazing work and thanks for the super informational review. Keep it up!
I suspect mb didn't make these with the 700 engine because of the potential problems with center of gravity and power around corners. It looks like brabus used the same axels as the squared model. Expensive no doubt.
Gold is able to reduce radiant temperatures by up to 80% . . . which is exactly why I capped my teeth in gold, so when I get hot mad my teeth don't explode!
Thats correct, carbon fiber fenders are standard with the 4x4 squared model. However, remember at the beginning of the video I said this particular vehicle started out as a basic G63. So as it originally left the factory it did not have carbon fiber fenders.
So this car starts life as a G63 then Brabus does the 4x4 Squared conversion? Or does it start as a G500 4x4 Squared then Brabus puts a modified M157 powerplant in it? Great review, by the way!
I'm afraid that's incorrect. This particular model left Brabus as a "basic" G700 with out the 4x4^2 configuration. I spoke to Brabus themselves on this one. The original Brabus G500 4X4^2 is powered by a different motor entirely....the 4.0L Biturbo V8 and I believe the output of that is around 493hp.
Great video, love your reviews. Just one comment to improve, try to be not so monotonic so there is more feeling with things that are good about the car you're reviewing.
At one point it did. The M157 5.5L V8 developed around the 2010 timeframe has replaced the 6.3L V8. However, the "63" badge nomenclature has remained unchanged.
It's not even a Mercedes.......... It's build in Austria and used the same chassis as a Land Rover not sure if it still is. It's a Steyr Daimler Puch. 600K is allot of money for an unknown brand.......
Had this originally started out as a 4x4 squared model carbon fenders would have been stock. However since this started out as a basic Mercedes-AMG G63 without portal axles or flared fenders, this did not leave the factory with carbon fenders.
i think because there are only 3 made in order of clients it will be damn pricy just check on their site new vehicles for sale and you get all info you need prices include (good luck)
Chris, this car was "born" as a G63. The G550 of the same model year is powered by a different engine entirely....a 4.0L Bi-turbo V8. The 4.0L Biturbo V8 replaced the traditional naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 of the G550 found in previous model years. With that being said the 2016 model year and later of the G63 is powered by the 5.5L Bi-turbo V8. This is what Brabus started with when modifying this particular vehicle. When Brabus completed modifications this car was classified as a G700. After completion at Brabus the additional modification with portal axles was made possible through coordination with MB part suppliers. MB only allowed 3 to be fitted with portal axles before pulling the plug on that operation. Thats what makes this G700 4x4^2 1 of 3 (not to be confused with the G500/550 4X4^2). There are quite a few G700s but a G700 with the 4x4^2 configuration is what sets this one apart.
Before producing this review, I was extremely skeptical of this vehicles origins and it being 1 of 3. So I reached out to Brabus themselves LOL. I wanted to confirm everything straight from the source and after a few conversations and emails I obtained the information I needed. Welcome to the channel.
You're misinformed, I'm willing to bet that you didn't look up the VIN number and call Brabus, I did. When you comment on this channel you have GOT to know what you're talking about. Until Jeep comes out with a luxury oriented Wrangler with a Hemi engine and air suspension, the G Wagon really doesn't have any competition. It's just so unique and awesome.
Are you kidding me? The Current JK is more luxury oriented than off-road. Made for the grocery getters.
The word "JEEP" should not be allowed when talking about the Mercedes G!!!!

FYI, G-wagon was the Shah of Iran idea and he pushed the Mercedes-Benz to develop this car.
Mr. Wayne, this car looks like it was made for you! And nice review man. You'd be a great seller of these huge testosterone cars.
carbon fiber fenders come standard with the 4x4squared model
Thats correct, carbon fiber fenders are standard with the 4x4 squared model. However, remember at the beginning of the video I said this particular vehicle started out as a basic G63. So as it originally left the factory it did not have carbon fiber fenders.
that's a great deal man
Now this is a truck with panache.
Ok, its cool, but does the roof come off?
It is definately easier turn around in the city. 700 Horse power? Is that customized?
was this the same one that was for sale in Birmingham, Alabama?
Quite possibly. At the time this video was produced it was on consignment at Motorcars of GA. I'm not sure where the owner was from.
Bad ass truck
Good review dude.
Appreciate it, thank you.
So this car starts life as a G63 then Brabus does the 4x4 Squared conversion? Or does it start as a G500 4x4 Squared then Brabus puts a modified M157 powerplant in it? Great review, by the way!
Born as a G63. Thank you, you all have no idea how much the support means!
Ben Wayne No problem, G. Quality work deserves praise!!
+Daniel Kriedt doesn't start as a g63 at all it's a 4x4 2 first then it's bumped in power to what the g63 has
I'm afraid that's incorrect. This particular model left Brabus as a "basic" G700 with out the 4x4^2 configuration. I spoke to Brabus themselves on this one. The original Brabus G500 4X4^2 is powered by a different motor entirely....the 4.0L Biturbo V8 and I believe the output of that is around 493hp.
ben is right, this is a conversion kit from brabus ,this make me disappointed as a collector point of view . it does not gave me a special feeling
keep it up dude
Great video, love your reviews. Just one comment to improve, try to be not so monotonic so there is more feeling with things that are good about the car you're reviewing.

What do you do for a living????
back seat,back of the car?
I thought 63 means 6.3 liters , but you said that the engine is 5.5 why is it ?
At one point it did. The M157 5.5L V8 developed around the 2010 timeframe has replaced the 6.3L V8. However, the "63" badge nomenclature has remained unchanged.
Right hand drive?

Ben Wayne ayt, thank you very much
It's not even a Mercedes.......... It's build in Austria and used the same chassis as a Land Rover not sure if it still is. It's a Steyr Daimler Puch. 600K is allot of money for an unknown brand.......
Bill Yang price is around $680k-$720k for this one ☝️ hefty price but truth
dear Ben, I love your videos. please keep up the great work.
Carbon Fender are stock
Had this originally started out as a 4x4 squared model carbon fenders would have been stock. However since this started out as a basic Mercedes-AMG G63 without portal axles or flared fenders, this did not leave the factory with carbon fenders.
What's the price?
Mercedes Benz or Amg?? I mean if this beast is actually based on Amg g63, then why it's named Benz???
How much is this going for?
go check their site all prices are up there
the bigger the better but still not as huge as my ram truck
Woah
At 5:42 did anyone notice that mini mini hoop :D
its a cupholder! i pity you fools..
With the new 4x4 look, this car lost its mean look from the 90's which brought lots of success selling overseas.
Wow thats A rap!
Do you own that ?
Yup, I like to daily drive this to work. LOL yea right....def not my car. This one is for sale!
SO.. WHATS THE PRICE TAG?
i think because there are only 3 made in order of clients it will be damn pricy just check on their site new vehicles for sale and you get all info you need prices include (good luck)
it was made as a g550

great research but how did you get this info, anyhow def a great video and you have a new subscriber
Before producing this review, I was extremely skeptical of this vehicles origins and it being 1 of 3. So I reached out to Brabus themselves LOL. I wanted to confirm everything straight from the source and after a few conversations and emails I obtained the information I needed. Welcome to the channel.
When they don't let you take the car off the lot to review.
Wrong it was originally a g500 4x42
