I don't want to show off, but i live in Bottrop and Bottrop is the Headquarter of Brabus. I walk only a few minutes to them. What they have in their parking lot is absolutely incredible. S600 Maybach, G63 4x4 Squared, 6x6 Squared and every AMG you can imagine. It's not that bad to see this every day. After school I will go to the university and work at Brabus (hopefully). But my chances aren't bad

I have the 2018 in a more subdued black with off road wheels and I take it everywhere. It has never gotten stuck it is amazing. Whether we are out in the Everglades or up in the Appalachians. I can go through Miami in it and no one looks at the lambos or Ferraris or I can go out to a long range shooting competition and get there regardless of the terrain. Love everything about it. I have a stage 3 Renntech tune so that makes it even more insane.

That DOT bumper in the back is a requirement, just like how semi trailer have it. So cars won't hit you and get underneath your vehicle 💩

Amazing G Class, have wanted one since I was a kid. I can't get over how small it made Jakub's Raptor look, and that thing has 10 inches of ground clearance! 😂 Great review guys. 👍
I love how some of the stock footage for the 6x6 is the Traxxas RC car. I completely understand, that's about as close as most of us will ever get to owning one. 😄

So, for north of 250k, they cheaped-out by omitting a bumper cover that accommodates a larger spare like a Wrangler but added the 90's KenCo chrome rear double-tube jobber....riiiiiiight....

thats the formula for long living reliable engines ! big displacement with average power output ---> unstressed engine
It's was made for Offroad, so you need more torque, not HP

That ridiculous color is perfect for this ridiculous car. Crazy how outdated the technology is for a 2 year old car that costs as much as it does.
It was launched in 2017, but the tech was already a generation behind at launch.
The thing was outdated before it launched, merc didn't really give much fucks about tech in the old g wagons

Same engine makes 600hp in other models, do you think that's intentional or does mercedes just suck at building engines?
Meteor Media same engine makes 639hp (actually 680 ish after I dynoed it) on my gt4 door. They detuned it on purpose.
@@chiefdenis Chill, I know about the C63, E63, GT, etc. Doesn't change the fact that in this application its super weak. Especially for the size and weight. Like, why bother with a petrol engine at all if you'll detune it to hell. They could easily gotten the same power but more torque and better efficiency from a Diesel engine.

Mercedes is _the_ only company to offer everything from an 'entry level' A200 hatchback, right through to a Maybach Pullman Guard. The 4x4 squared, and 6x6, are perfect examples of Mercedes making something for fun, for a laugh, and because they can! LOL It's one, of many reasons, why I love the brand! :D

Without second guessing I would take the 4x4² over everything else it's so unique and the colors they had for these were wild, I loved the 4x4² and 6x6⁴ it would've been great seeing it on the new redesigned G-Wagon platform.. I wonder why they decided to stop making them because I'm sure the demand for them was insane and probably still is since they're not making them anymore..

When he came out from behind the tire I busted out laughing
Not that anyone will read this, but the "rocking" at 9:30 isn't from the dual shocks, it's from the portal axles. Since they're effectively little gear trains, when you come to a full stop there is a a little bit of "slack" in the gear so you get a bit of a sway. Hummers do it too and they don't have dual shocks. Dork mic, dropped
Picks up dropped mic. I'm sure it adds to it but my Raptor also does it and doesn't have dual shocks or portal axles. Drops mic
@@TheStraightPipesI was trying to explain why it's so dramatic in a truck with portal axles. Obviously any car with soft suspension will sway a bit when you abruptly stop..like an old Jetta or yes, your Raptor...
