The G63 really does the Carolina Squat when you mash the gas pedal. I was looking at the MBUSA and the Canadian builds and there are quite a few differences, I expected the North American options to be really close, but they aren't. The ugly bumper guard looks like it's standard in the US but optional in Canada.

I don't remember where I read this but the reason they don't have keyless entry is they would have needed to change the locking mechanism which wouldn't give the famous door locking sound. Great video once again !

Body on frame, solid rear axle on a suv like that isn’t really old school. It’s exactly what you want for that. The fact that Mercedes kept those things is awesome even though nobody will ever use it for what it’s built for. Those axle lock buttons will almost certainly never get pushed by anyone who owns one of these other than snow on the road.

My dad's S class has the dynamic side bolsters that hug you on turns according to how you need it. I gotta say in an S class where the seats aren't very bolstered it helps a ton, other cars I can see why you may not need it

I don't think the argument of gloss black interiors not being a problem cause you're not the one cleaning it really works. Even if you're not gonna clan it you still have to look at it and use it while it's getting dirty. You can literally see it getting dirty each time you use it. I haven't cleaned my open more wood once and it still looks brand new.

I wouldn’t get the AMG, I’d get the “normal” G550, which has more than enough power and amenities inside. It also doesn’t have a side exhaust in front of the rear wheels that could easily be crushed by a rock.

The luck these guys have had with weather is pretty amazing. I live in Northern PA so I'm not THAT far from where they film in Canada and it's been a mild winter. They always seem to get the worse day or two each week to film.

It looks exactly like the Original 1979 G Wagon. This is probably the Model that went the Longest Ever without a Facelift/redesign. Even the Wrangler has had more redesigns model changes.

I need to correct you on something. If you're buying one or more of these you can option automatic unlocking when you approach and effortless close clunk. It's called a personal assistant, although it is aftermarket which is a bit of a pain. :)

Looks amazing, glad they didn't ruin it. Between this and a trackhawk, I think it'd be fun to drive the jeep because it's slightly more of a sleeper since most Grand Cherokees are not trackhawks. Plus you could use the money you saved by not purchasing a G Wagon for anything you want.
Yeah, the extra money you'd save would be used on keeping the fiat trackhawk on the road with repairs after 20,000 miles
