I have a game that was my grandparents'. Inside the box lid they recorded their scores back in the 1920s and 30s. When my mom got old enough to play, her name starts appearing too. It's such a lovely little peek into their gaming history.
That is such a cool story!! I can see how that is a big deal. Our Cross Roads game now has scores from 2010 and people who have moved and folks who came back and wanted to see their names. Thanks for sharing that … makes me want to add scores to more games.
I’m always surprised how fun it is to relive the past wins and losses. Usually the review of the wins/losses happens before the new game starts which really does raise the stakes.
We have loved keeping track of wins and losses. I think the one that surprised us the most, was keeping track of losses. That turned out to be way more fun than we anticipated.
Like that Dominion Lazy Susan. You could probably sell plans for it on your web site, along with some of your other designs. Just a possible cash flow stream for something you are already doing. Good luck with the channel!

We have not really thought about those things when we were building them. We have had a lot of fun talking about what is possible.

I have a woodshop, and I have been thinking about making pieces trays for my games. I really like those little try cups. They nest well and sit in a corner nicely. Thanks for that idea.
Just played Crossroads last night and 6 of us got to sign the chairs and 2 of us (not me) got to sign the table. It is such a fun part of reviewing what we should a, could a done to win the game. Fun stuff!
eBay has a set of 4 Bon Chef trays for 21.47 and free shipping. Decent price for pewter with good age to it. I’ll buy it if it is still there in a couple days :)

We’re about to set it up again (takes up most of the garage so it’s quite the set up). We’ve been planning to do a video about it but aren’t sure what it should be. A play-through? A review? An Overview? An Explanation? A How-to-Build? What would you be most interested in?
Just the comment we need to push us along 😁. We have talked about a video but we also keep learning so much about making them. We wanted to practice awhile before we jumped into Crossroads. It has 2500 pieces of which about 200ish are pewter. The original 14 characters we cast ourselves. It has some very unique elements that have given it a replay ability aspect that is probably better than any game I’ve played… but I might be biased😄. Stick with us … eventually you will see it!

You clearly put a lot of work and love into the idea. Board Games are a business and good ideas can be big business. You clearly love what you're doing and if you can get paid you do what you love why not? Lots of board gamers are always looking for a good new game :)
Interesting thoughts. We do enjoy playing board games for the fun of it. We probably have a number of videos that could go with the expansions … forts, shafts and tunnels, mountains and rivers, Bulls Eye store, Towns people, relic presence, cooperative and scenarios, and horses, buggies, and engines … there is a lot !!!

I should check with him on pricing … hmmmmm … maybe you are on to something. What do you think is a good price to buy it?? … just out of curiosity.

I really want to see what/how you expanded Life Boat! That is a huge crate for such a small game.

I now have a 4 by 4-1/2 foot piece of felt that I carry with my games. Picking up cards is easier than if they are on a slick table.
It is amazing how a simple playing surface can make such a huge difference!
I totally agree. Just picked up a piece of fabric at Walmart for a similar thing … this would be a good idea to add to another accessory video!

Something you might want to look into for bits holders are "snail dishes" they're usually ceramic or metal and usually have 6 bowls in each dish.
Definitely looking that up tonight … for some reason I have a soft spot for things that organize.
