What an awesome story. My son is Asperger's as well and has had similar struggles. The problem was mainly at school with teachers not understanding or knowing how to engage. Any idiot can teach a normal child but it takes a real teacher to teach the children that are not normal. Some of my sons teachers incited student bullying to try and "make" him conform and it was only in year 10 - 11 that he has finally found himself. Aspies are beautiful people and all we need to do is look. Thanks for telling stories like this one to help everyone :-)

@Stephen Murphy I get what you are saying and I agree with you. Horses, and animals in general, are incredible in how they see into a person's heart and can read the soul. Please reconsider how you view "weirdness" in general though. I understand that you mean "not good". Weird, in general, is good though. Weird can be funny, it can simply be different or not THE normal. "Normal" isn't even necessarily representative of 50% of the population, it's just a representation of the largest group. I'm weird, but I'm also good, kind, compassionate, caring, and animals naturally feel comfortable with and drawn to me, even wild animals. My best to you and wishes that you are able to continue spending your life with horses.
Such beautiful scenery, music, and horses! I was late diagnosed at 51 and have always struggled. Animals are easier for me to relate to also, but I did become a rehab therapist and caregiver ❤ I still don't have the support I need but hoping people are willing to become friends and supports so everyone feels like they belong and are appreciated for their unique gifts
I'm 24 and recently discovered that I have Aspergers, it terrifies me to be honest. I'm scared of what may happen to me in a few years. Sometimes I feel lonely and worried. I'm still going through the phase of accepting that I have Aspergers...
Vince, was diagnosed myself at age 35. figured it out because my friend's son has aspergers. had struggled so much for so long without really knowing what was up. upon going online and reading up, was all "that's IT!". not much changed, yet everything changed. was quite happy to learn about it cos it solved a whole lot of mystery for me. it's less about acceptance, more about learning the best ways to take care of yourself, and generally work things to be more successful.
@@joncampos5551 No, emotion is intensely intact. If that was the case eye contact would be no problem, since it wouldn't be as disruptive internally. Reading, and expressing emotion's correctly is what's "taken away". People inherently have a harder time distinguishing the correct intentions of those on the Autistic spectrum because of it, which can have a lot of serious some times fatal consequences. It's a deficiency in the ability to correctly read micro-expressions, and output matching internal emotional micro-expressions that generally causes the breakdown in communication. It requires a significant amount of cognitive effort to make up for it in social situations, which leads to mental exhaustion. Without supports individuals will eventually regress, burnout, and isolate as a way of self preservation. Not something I would ever wish on anyone, even my worst enemy.
Honestly speaking, you just had me in tears. Watching this has made a huge impact in my life. I have been learning a lot Asperger's and have come to the conclusion that anyone with Asperger's should feel privileged and blessed to be an Aspie. With some help and support Aspies can truly soar. Pete, what an awesome way to make a difference in Josh's life. Wow! Ah, and if Josh ever fires you, that's what you get for employing an Aspie! hahaha They often end up doing a better job that you could ever do!
So,would you be willing to date him ? With this info you would give me hope for my autistic students. The problem is most ladies here do virtue signaling but do not internally respond on a relationship level.
Absolutely clear that this helps people see the good and the beauty of the different, those with ASD. But it's easier when you focus on one who is so easy on the eyes. What about those who are less appealing, less handsome? We need to extend our compassion for and identification with these folks as well. So, thank you! and, it was an easy task.
What an incredible young man, I feel sad that you had so little support and understanding at school, however I'm delighted for the way you have matured and grown into an amazing, caring man, the connection you have with those horses is totally awesome ,and to your boss who gave you a chance to prove to the world how efficient hard-working and how great an asset you are in the workplace is commendable, I hope others will learn from this, I pray that you will move onwards and upwards to achieve your goals in life , you are a truly inspirational young man with a wonderful loving Mum supporting you all the way. Thankyou for sharing your story. God Bless you and your family.
What a fantastic Mum! Josh you are awesome, I loved what you said about " listening" rather than talking to the horses ( When you commented that people say your a horse whisperer ) Animals are so connected with that realm of what you referred to as "spiritual" & I myself prefer the company of animals because there is not that expectation simply acceptance. More people need to give the Autistic community a chance to show how valuable and how much they have to offer! We matter, we exist & we deserve to succeed in our strengths! Thank you for sharing your life & your experience with the world Josh!!!

This is criminal. No one should be that ridiculously handsome.
Haha yes! Thanks for watching John!
What?😳
John criminal?
cm cmancuso717 oh I see! I got Asperger syndrome so I didn’t pick up on it sorry
cm cmancuso717 I basically had to learn to ask 🙂
It is wonderful to see someone who is so caring and respectful about horses. :)
Sean sir .. i truly feel how you feel to what your son's wen thru in school .. me as an educator i am struggling for the welfare of the student in school yes thier r some teachers and students as well that are bastards (sorry about ) i always have differences frm.my collogues bcoz i am always at the side of the children wt like those aspies
. Would u beleived that i m the only 1 in school who gives extra attention to them .. some just tend to just showy but not continues . 1 incident was that a teacher was so mad bcoz she said i am siding wt those who are not supposed to be n a regular school .I said that they still can be when we only give them an extra little time and understanding bcoz parents cant afford sending thier kids in a school intended for like wt aspies.
There is nothing normal. Any teacher can teach a regular student .
I am glad you are so supportive of your son. Asperger’s people like me, others, and most definitely him, appreciate your dedication, loving care and support. Take care. =)
@@wolfiethehedgehog3900 There’s another way to call people who have Aspergers for short and it’s called Aspie that’s how you call a person who have Aspergers for short.
He's so beautiful inside and out.
such an amazing young lad, good on him for trying so hard and succeeding.
All his hard work certainly has paid off. Thanks for watching!
Happy for this young man that he has found his place in life.
This guy is so handsome! And his gentle way with horses!

Do you honestly think Attitude would have any interest in him if he wasn't nice looking?
@@tonytunbridge6275 It certainly didn't hurt.

the hero in this story is mom. God bless your heart.and god bless the rancher who gave this boy a chance.
just beautiful. goosebumps when he was riding his horse, listening, he understands, fantastic?
Thanks for your kind words Crissy! Glad you enjoyed the episode!
My 8 yr old grandson has Aspergers, he is ‘magic’. So smart, well mannered, and kind. I loved watching this young mans story, he copes with it and goes on to enjoy what he loves.
I know everyone has already said it but damn he is handsome. And such a sweet soul as well.
Thanks A.M Lash!
This beautiful young man is more trustworthy than most able people, his only disability is with us not him, these horses have someone special looking after them, good on you mate 🇦🇺🌈💕🦋x
I thought he was prince charming when he ride that horse! He's job is paradise. Thanks to Pete for giving him a chance to be better.
I believe it's the contrary. This boy gave Pete the chance to be better. That boy was born with a heart of gold. 💞💝
I love his genius with horses. Hes a really sweet guy.
What a seriously gifted and handsome young man! I hope he has his own ranch some day.
Myka Watz I am sorry to sound rude but you aren't attracted to him, unfortunately.
If I had to choose one hero from his story, it would be impossible. Mom, who never gives up on her babies. Pete, despite his initial feelings, who taught so much using so few words and saw Josh as a great, paid, part of his team. The invisible social worker, who coached with love and patience and wouldn’t take no for an answer. But Josh, with all your trust and hard work and sweetness and strength, you are the star of this show and my life is richer from observed it all. Thank you, Attitude! ♥️
My 18 year old son has Aspergers. I see so much of this young man as I see my own son. This is probably one of the best videos I've watched on RUclips, and not because I was looking for it or researching anything. It's as if I was to see it for a reason? Wonderfully done. Very inspiring. I can't find any reason why anyone wouldn't simply enjoy this presentation? Great work!
His confidence shines thru just by participating in this video. Wishing him continued happiness with his life.
what a bright young man. its great to see someone gave him a chance. great story thank u for sharing. best of luck to him and his future in working with horses.

Thanks for watching Jarrett! Glad you enjoyed the video 😀
And he strives to be a professional, competing across the world? This is a movie waiting to be made.
Steady on. It's heartwarming, but hardly Hollywood
I've changed my mind. If we can get Owen Wilson to star in it I'm totally on board
My son who is 15 has Adhd and a psychaitrist told me once " I think he is a little Asbergy" My son gets a pulling away anxiety from his classmates. He is for the most part in his own head. This young man is great what he is learning and accomplishing.
This made my heart smile!!
Thanks for watching!

What an awesome young man! I only see him going from strength to strength. His affinity with the horses is magical. If I was 40 years younger I would find him and pursue him - he is my perfect man! Thank you Pete too for giving him that chance that enabled the light in him to shine so bright! I'm in love!
They are usually very very intelligent... And their hearts are pure.
Such a beautiful and strong young man, inside and out. God bless Pete for bringing him into his family and introducing him to his destiny with the horses. ❤
Thanks for watching Kathlene Charbonneau
You should probably be a movie star. Do you like riding horses? Lots of people out here think you're wonderful. Blessings on all you love.
Josh, love seeing your innate affinity with horses. I'm so grateful to Pete for giving you this opportunity to embrace your talents. Would love to see more. And Josh your mum is an amazing woman! School and school kid's are discriminative. They're not a part of your life now thank God. What is now for you is your resolve and survival to your credit. Your a survivor and a gentle leader. Your not lost for words and your Natural horsemanship skills are enduring and impressive. Great stuff!!
I don’t know this man, but I’m proud of him.
That’s such a beautiful story!!!
It’s so awesome that he was given a chance to work, grow as a person and professionally.
Animals are all about energy, intuition and trust, and he got it all right.
He has a bright future ahead, and that is great.
A wonderful testament to courage and determination! Warm regards and best wishes from Oregon, USA.

Such a beautiful mother.
That's awesome. Guy he works for seems cool and understanding. Its what we need with autism. If you have a job you're interested in without too much pressure and being asked to do things you cant do you'll get on great and be a great asset.
Thanks for watching Mickey, hope you enjoyed!
We all definitely need to see more videos like this.

amazing mother 👏🏼
& Pete for giving him a chance
My oldest brother only just got diagnosed a few years ago with Aspergers and he is in his 50’s. He has struggled his whole life... I am glad that there is more education and awareness these days to nurture these beautiful intelligent souls... God bless his mumma and case worker... 🙏🏼🦋💖
My fiance has Asperger's. Sometimes it's a lot to deal with, but he's worth it, just like this man.
"What is normal, anyway?"
Elisa Bell a setting on the drier.
There is no such thing as normal. We are all unique. If we were all the same we would be automatons.
Elisa Bell statistically, the value that represents the central or typical value of a set of data.
A Glaves statistically, there is.
Thanks for watching, Vince. Hope you enjoyed our documentary and are able to take something away from it 😊
Vince, was diagnosed myself at age 35. figured it out because my friend's son has aspergers. had struggled so much for so long without really knowing what was up. upon going online and reading up, was all "that's IT!". not much changed, yet everything changed. was quite happy to learn about it cos it solved a whole lot of mystery for me. it's less about acceptance, more about learning the best ways to take care of yourself, and generally work things to be more successful.
Youre not alone..im 44 scares me to death
Vince Lowry I thought that Asperbergers took away emotion?
Very inspiring person and touching to see how he found meaning and fulfilment being Asperger.
Beautiful, exquisite! I love this life story! Thankyou for giving this young lad a chance. He clearly has a way with horses and horses with him.
This dude is in his pure spiritual form and I feel we all need to tap into that on the daily!!!
What a genuine, beautiful and wise person!
I love this, what a great little documentary on this young man, the horseman farms, as well as the Social worker who had the insight and wherewithal and persistance to get him working with these horse, its all a perfect example of the what can happen when humans work together, I applaud everyone in this film, I know that their are probably still challenges that we did not see, but WOW, if this is the result than whatever challenges their might be can never out weight the goodness, thank you for sharing this story. I am truly in awe.
You blessed us with a beautiful video of a wonderful family, with or without disabilities. The mother is the most caring of moms. Thank you again I really enjoyed this
