GIVEAWAY CLOSED, Congratulations ROBERT BRAUN and Jens Wagner for winning the Archer Pro, Ivetta Snell for winning the Catapult Mini. and thanks to any who took part.
Great video, as a former law enforcement officer let me just say dont stop protecting yourself at the first step of disorienting someone, follow through with a follow up technique because the disorienting affects only surprise your attacker for a split second or 2, make sure you put thought into your second move and get a plan before you have to so your already ready without having to think about it
@mr.shannonvenasse7155 well if you have any kind of self-defense edc items you can carry (lawfully) like something as simple as a keychain baton that you could strike with, or your flashlight itself to the bridge of an attackers nose, your fist, anything that will give you some seconds to retreat while your attacker is temporarily immobilized. All I am saying is dont depend on flashing a strobe in an attackers eyes as a final defense. They are intended to be disorienting for a very short time while you gain an edge on the attack. You may only get a few feet away before he can gain his sight and thoughts back, but if you break a nose or temporarily take away his air with a throat shot then you can get much further away, wich is the point...retreat without you getting hurt. The strobe is intended to do kind of what police and military use flash-bangs for, just on a lower level, while the subject is startled from the pop and shocked over the intensity of the flash gives law enforcement time to enter and secure a room instead of kicking in a door and walking into bullets flying at them. But always follow through with something while you have those precious 2 or 3 seconds to do it!
@@nicka.4080 I imagine that the person I am flashing is covering his eyes with his hands and therefore arms/hands could be in front of the nose and/or throat. My Second-step-suggestion is to kick super HARD between the legs (if its a man).
My daughter lost my thrunite in the snow a while ago and just the other day everything melted so I took my metal detector out and found it. Still looks and work like new. Definitely a product I stand behind.
There is another use for the strobe function, that's probably more useful for law enforcement then the rest of the population. When responding to a call of a downed person--say, an Uber driver calling for assistance with getting a passed out drunk from the backseat of their car who is not responsive to voice or shaking, putting the strobe light in front of their eyelids works nearly every time.
I was walking my small dog one night and we were attacked by an off-leash viscous dog. I used strobe mode to send the dog away whimpering while doing no permanent harm to it. It was perfect. Great video.
Thrunite makes some solid flashlights. I wish they would come out with a new 2x AAA size rechargeable pen light. Something the same size as the stylus pro usb.
I can't think of one good reason for a person not to carry one of your great Strobe flashlights. Weather it's for self-defence, or for rescue, a Strobe flashlight can be a handy tool to carry on you. You never know when things can happen, but you want to be prepared for a great outcome. Great informative video, thanks for sharing.
A low power strobe is good for late night rest stops on the Interstate while traveling. "Solid" lights are often overlooked or not seen but, a flashing strobe is attention getting so people don't run you down in the parking lot.
I had never thought before in using a flashlight for selfdefense, but it has a lot of sense in situations when the use of letal force is not justified. Love the looks of the Thrunite Archer Pro 🔥🔥
I appreciate the 3-click way of accessing strobe. It would be very rare for most of us to use the strobe, but if needed it must be quick. The rest of the time I don't want to see it. I have several flashlights that toggle through low-medium-high-strobe-off or low-high-strobe-off, which means the strobe turns on, if briefly, every time the flashlight is turned off - a real annoyance. Thankfully ThruNite used good judgement.
as a u.s. marine vet here 93' to 97' active ! , i would love to add these great lights to my collection, i e.d.c. for defensive strobe mode if need be , thank you and we'll talk soon > tom !
So strange for my Thrunight TC20 V2, and TC15 I have to click it 4 times for strobe from off? When did they change that to 3? Wonderful video! I have used it to get the police's attention, and it worked. (we located a lost girl at dusk and they didn't see us at first)
Acebeam L19 Tir thrower is very effective in preventing car accidents and providing momentary advantage to close the distance to disarm someone with a knife For animals like dogs their sense of smell is strongest so the only immediate defense is bear spray or any fogging pepper spray (shotgun blast) better than gel or stream spray pattern I use my Acebeam L19 2.0 Tir on a daily basis for driving especially for heavy loaded semi trucks pulling out from the shoulder of a freeway at 5 MPH, they dont have the right of way nor should they be using the shoulder for taking breaks A freeway off ramp is safer to provide them a running start to match the speeds of the freeway often above 70 MPH up to 80-85 MPH
Would like a headlamp that has a very powerful long throw ramping very dark tone red as it's primary and the white flood and Spot as secondary. Ramping And a red body flashlight with only red of same spec above Also same with only green and green body color
I like to have this feature "hidden" on my lights. I like to know it's there if I need it, but I don't want to have to cycle through it every time I turn my light on. 😎👍
I believe every flashlight should have a strobe mode. Everything that was discussed in the video may or may not happen but it's always better to be prepared.
Strobe mode: It is better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it. On another note, I really like the throw on the ThruNite Catapult Mini, great for its size.
You forget that bigger flashlights can be used as striking tools also. And if you avoid the head its generally painful enough to work without causing damage.

What is your suggested follow up technique is someone is trying to harm you and you distract them?

I had not thought of strobe as primarily a self defence feature. Thanks, Thrunite.
I am a big fan of all their lights. Reliable, easy to operate, good battery life.
I LOVE ALL of the Theunite flashlights! I use them for work nightly! So bright! And DURABLE!!! I recommend them 1000%

Very informative video. I knew my lights had strobe, but I didn't pay much attention. I got my lights out and made sure I understood the process.
I was walking my small dog one night and we were attacked by an off-leash viscous dog. I used strobe mode to send the dog away whimpering while doing no permanent harm to it. It was perfect. Great video.
More great information.
And I thank you all.
Spend time with family.
Have a flashlight handy.
It's very impressive how the thrunite flashlights are and always very well made and every flashlight should have strobe for a self defense situation.
Very informative and the tips for using the strobe mode on flashlight are helpful
Learned something I didn’t know ! Don’t generally use the strobe feature. Thanks for teaching me something new. Have a great day !
I love these flashlights with great specs, the Catapult Mini is awesome, thanks for the chance and keep on the nice job :)
Thanks for the tips and chance to win. I ha e alywats been satisfied with all my thrunite purchases...and I have many!
l have the strobe option on my flashlight and now have a clearer understanding about it. Thank you for this informative video.
I love my Catapult Mini. Was looking at the different Archer models trying to decide between the 1A, 2A or Pro. Thinking the Pro next.
Thanks for the information! Thrunite has a great selection of flashlights.
I have the archer pro and it's a solid light. I haven't had a use for the strobe just yet but it's cool to have
I'll receive my first Thrunite flashlight on Monday the Catapult Pro. Can't wait👍
I have an Archer pro and did not realize it had a strobe. Thanks
I got a new flashlight for detailing inside my store as the lights overall aren't great.
Ty for letting me know the potential uses for for flashlight!
Very good demonstration video.. Always good to be prepared for anything
Strobe is a huge reason I carry my flashlights. So handy to shock the sneaky unwanted guests.
Thrunite makes some solid flashlights. I wish they would come out with a new 2x AAA size rechargeable pen light. Something the same size as the stylus pro usb.
A very good video! (as usual) It helped me to see to the flashlight strobe function in a mor nuanced way!

I never knew all that about strobe mode! Thanks!
I like having a separate button for strobe. Thanks for the review.
Never been a fan of strobe, but I get its got its purpose
Informative video. Love all thrunight products!
Always love Jeff's videos and Thrunite products!
Thanks for another wonderful tutorial! Keep'em coming plz
Thanks for this awesome info! Finally made strobe make sense. 💪💯 Love my Thrunites! That Catapult mini will be mine in both colors 😎💯
I love that the P10I has a dedicated button for strobe!

I love these informative videos. Good job!
I had never thought before in using a flashlight for selfdefense, but it has a lot of sense in situations when the use of letal force is not justified. Love the looks of the Thrunite Archer Pro 🔥🔥
Strobe can be used in less dramatic situations as well, like to signal friends far away in a crowd as well.
Thank you for this video, great information about strobe.
I would love a new Thrunite. The TN12 is the best flashlight I own.
I never use this mode, but is a good option. I love the firefly mode. For me, THRUNITE is the better, in firefly mode with crazy runtimes.
I appreciate the 3-click way of accessing strobe. It would be very rare for most of us to use the strobe, but if needed it must be quick. The rest of the time I don't want to see it. Heck yeah, I love that Thrunite Archer Pro!
I’ve had my eyes on that mini catapult but I’ve bought a dozen or so thrunites. Once I buy one, a new one comes out so I’ve been waiting 😂
Great info as always...well done!
So strange for my Thrunight TC20 V2, and TC15 I have to click it 4 times for strobe from off? When did they change that to 3? Wonderful video! I have used it to get the police's attention, and it worked. (we located a lost girl at dusk and they didn't see us at first)
Never had to use strobe and hopefully never will but I'm glad it's there.
Great stuff. keep up the content! Thanks ya'll.
I found strobe mode useful to quickly grab attention while herping/trekking and I am isolated from group.
I never use strobe and could really do without it. Love ThruNite though!

I have used strobe mode when walking on a dark road. I was careful not to blind or irritate drivers but still let them know I was there.
On bears indeed!!! while camping or hiking... this, along a strong whistle and a spray would be good defence. :D
What a fantastic review of all 5 amazing flashlights 🔥🔥.would love to win a flashlight. 👀
in martial arts we used a kobaton in pressure points a flash light would also work
Would like a headlamp that has a very powerful long throw ramping very dark tone red as it's primary and the white flood and Spot as secondary.
Ramping
And a red body flashlight with only red of same spec above
Also same with only green and green body color
I was thinking this guy sounds a lot like cutlerylover and then I read the description
Personally, I like when the strobe mode is semi-hidden so I don't accidentally activate the mode when not needed.
I like to have this feature "hidden" on my lights. I like to know it's there if I need it, but I don't want to have to cycle through it every time I turn my light on. 😎👍
Thrunite with a dedicated strobe immediately is the EDC that would go in my car.
I believe every flashlight should have a strobe mode. Everything that was discussed in the video may or may not happen but it's always better to be prepared.
Very informative. Thank you.
Awesome content and awesome products
Really like the design 👌
Great video. I prefer a light to have a strobe. Unless it's like 200 or less Lumens
Even 200 lumens can be disorienting especially In doors with white walls
Strobe mode: It is better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it. On another note, I really like the throw on the ThruNite Catapult Mini, great for its size.
Great flashlights!
Never used strobe mode so far but I guess it's a good thing to have.
thanks for all the information.
Thrunite lights are the best!
ThruNite are my favorite lights
In my day-to-day I never really use Strobe. But a high-lumen strobe is certainly disconcerting!
Strobe lights and me don't get along too well. But these flashlights are still pretty sweet regardless.
You forget that bigger flashlights can be used as striking tools also. And if you avoid the head its generally painful enough to work without causing damage.
Would love to take part in a give away thanks
Very informative video. 👍👍
Great information!
Good for signaling on a boat at night also
Is this the giveaway?!
It would be nice if Thrunite would develop a line of lanterns.
Learned something new.
Thanks for the great video
looks great!
Thanks for the info
Thanks for the video
Great video.
even without the strobe mode, modern leds can really hurt in the eyes
I’ve strobed myself plenty. Disorienting, but not debilitating.
Thanks!
Thanks
Good video
It is great video!
I've scared a couple bears with strobe
I learned something.
Usefull tool for all campers
I have only ever used strobe mode to get a racoon to leave me alone.
Wow so cool
The strobe is an underused function that performs better than you would expect.
